A POLYAMOROUS couple has lifted the lid on the jealousy-filled and intensely intimate world of open relationships. Carl and Kenya Stevens have been happily married for 22 years, with over half of their relationship opened to having multiple lovers. The couple from Asheville, North Carolina, quite literally practices what they preach by sharing their relationship, which has been the model for their coaching business, a ‘love academy’ called JuJuMama. Carl, 46, and Kenya, 42, invited Barcroft TV to their modern love therapy sessions to get the inside scoop on what it’s like living as a polyamory couple - in and out of the bedroom.

I think he went home and told her he was falling in love with another woman because he was ready to leave the marriage for the other woman. She wasn't and still isn't ready to let go so she decided an open marriage was a better option.

Yes. I dated her in Asheville. She claims to be about love but it was apparent that she was affected by Carl doing that to her. She went through cancer and she said it turned him off to see her in such a manner. To see them together was cringe worthy. He is a Good Dude Yes, but there is NO passion between them.

It's weird to me how everyone I have seen talk about being polyamorous say that it's painful and all of these negative things the first time and yet it seems they ignore it and push through anyway and make themselves accept it? He said he was jealous when she had her first date, but he came home and professed his love for another woman. My only question is what happens when one spouse or partner wants to breakup with the 3rd person, and the other doesn’t’.
