The biggest financial tip that I would give to young ladies is their twenties and they is to not co mingle your funds with a romantic partner or friends and family who are not doing well financially. You can really get left with the short end of the stick. It may take you years to recover and you may damage your close friendships and family relationships.
( Actually just avoid romantic relationships when the other person can’t meet their own basic needs of food, shelter, transportation without your help. )
This came right on time🙏💝
I just finished the audio book for To My Sisters. I loved it, and I’m starting to practice all the skills to being a good friend and also choosing good friends. I 💯 recommend everyone reading this comment to go read the book. I’m so blessed that I discovered to my sister’s podcast at 17, now I’m 19 and making genuine friendships with guidance from TO MY SISTERS Podcast!!!!
This got me at the right time, cuz my God do I need Jesus to take the wheels😭
I feel you! Recent graduate here and trying to figure my life out with the all the pressure around me to succeed! 😭
Love the episode. Can yall please do an episode on Black Tax and it's impact on particularly young black women. Would love to hear your takes on this.
I hope that they do this. Some of us sisters are struggling with this
Yessss please!!
Im 30 and just went back out on my own , I had to get out to grow . I would have stayed with my parents because of the economy, but I found me mentally being stuck . lol …praying to build a skill soon
Thank you for this video. It's comforting and encouraging to hear "start at the beginning" and that the beginning is a sign you're going to get 'there', wherever that is for each person.
To the sister in the dilemma, you don’t earn freedom from your parents, you have to take it. So if that means getting a part-time job during the academic year and doing an internship over breaks so that you don’t have to go home, you have to do that. Without you making your own money, you’re options are severely limited and your parents will continue to use you for slave labour and you won’t be able to start your business. Best of luck
Each episode are always so timely! Thank you!🎉
"Be there or Be square" ... it's because you're not AROUND 😅... so you're not a circle, or not IN the circle. You're square 🤭
Love this episode I’m literally starting my financial education and organisation journey 🥰
Always on point❤❤❤love you guys✨
This conversation is so necessary! Thank you so much for sharing ❤
I am in love with this episode, it feels like I needed this. Thank you sisters ❤
Thank you so much..... ❤🎉
Whew, this was so good!! God bless you guys🤍
Bless you Sisters for this episode ❤ I enjoyed it so much and I learned a lot!
I neeeeeeded this
not on my first day of my new work :dd yes!!
Super grateful for this episode. Thank you for sharing and encouraging us, sisters ❤️
"be there or be square" means that if one declines to attend an event, one is considered “uncool.” It implies that the event will be exciting. Someone who doesn’t attend is boring.
To My Sisters: To answer your question. Be there or Be Square ▪️(because they’re not A-Round ⚪️)
First ❤❤
Does anyone know any good financial education platforms ? 😢
Where do I send in a dilemma?😭
Any tips on useful skills??
Because you’re not A ROUND like a circle so you’re square. 🤷♀️
Really enjoyed this episode up until you said money is spiritual... I think it does more harm than good to think of money as a spiritual thing because it is material and it is a tool. One should be neutral towards it and a good steward of it, just like with time. Spiritualizing money can have the effect of supporting the myth of the Protestant work ethic, the prosperity gospel, and the belief that rich people are blessed by God and poor people are not (or have sin preventing them from being rich). In reality money operates within a secular, economic system and it's not a reflection of how "spiritually good" an individual is.
