Thanks for this....I really appreciated your clear, close up camera angles so we could see the positioning and process better.

Can't find my manual, but I found you!! This was just what I needed. I had forgotten about the pull down piece. 😊

Thank you for your video. I have never used this feature. What a godsend. Wouldn't have been able to work it out

You're very welcome! I will admit to re-watching it myself if I haven't done buttonholes for a while!

Thanks I literally was looking at my manual and couldn’t even get how to slide the part to fit the button haha I felt like I was going to break something. Manual says once this foot is snapped on you lower your threaded needle to pierce the starting point of your buttonhole before hitting start, if that helps anyone else. It suggests placing pin across back bar tack to prevent you from ripping right through when opening the fabric with the seam ripper. One of those skills I also hardly ever use!

Thx for the added detail and yeah... push through the stitching of a few buttonholes and a person will get better at putting up the pin roadblock! 📍

You are very welcome! It's like MAGIC isn't it? A far cry from the first buttonhole attachment my mom had in 1982! (oops... just dated myself!)

Thank-you for posting this. My manual does not stress the importance of pulling down the buttobhole lever; I missed it 🙄

Thank you! I'd completely forgotten about the "pull down random bit of plastic" part and couldn't figure out why my machine was beeping at me! 3 perfect buttonholes now made and last Yule gift finished :D

every time I try to make button holes, I end up hating the process more and more. the first, practice one comes out perfect. the next is a mess, the third is worse, the fourth is a hot mess. I do the exact same thing each time, and yet....
disaster. not sure what to do about it.

Not sure what to tell you but it sounds so frustrating - sorry that’s happening
