I just watched Love and Monsters (2021). It was surprisingly uplifting. If you haven't seen it, I'd love to see a review.
Yeah I saw that I thought it was good.
Fangs for the review! Vlad you enjoyed it. Hopefully it's turn up at my local cinema later this month. Fingers crossed! No wait, not crossed...
I love seeing you cover French-Canadian movies!
You should come attend the Fantasia Film Festival one day you would love it!
Won tickets to see this. Going on Friday with a friend to check it out. The title definitely had me interested but now I kinda know what I'm in for. Thanks for the review 😊
so happy to see you review some french canadian films! i saw it here in montreal last year and my scoring is about the same as yours. very enjoyable overall and quite original
Congratulations on 10 years Emma!! Thank you for all your hard work, also. I really appreciate these videos. I’d never know about any of these movies otherwise :).
Sounds like a good one, definitely adding it to my watch list. Thanks for the review. Keep up the great work. I am a happy subscriber 😀
Im actually really excited for this one. Thanks Em!!
Wow! I love early 2000s films! (Jk the title has a typo)
Yes my loving dyslexia is at it again haha
I knew I wasn't the only one that saw it said 2003 originally before she corrected it!
Whoah, I thought you had a bad day, when I read the title.
I saw this at my local film fest last year and thought it was very cute and fun. I wish it pushed some of it themes a bit more
Intriguing…wana watch this! Great show btw, really enjoying your work 👍
Loved this one when I saw it during a festival last year. Such a surprisingly cosy watch
Saw it when it was at the PIFFF in France znd won the 2 main prizes. And i can't wait to see it again in March
Nice! Looking forward to seeing this. Thanks to your recommendation, I just watched Three Extremes (and the sequel) on Tubi. LOVED the first! The sequel was pretty good too, but TE definitely won't be leaving my brain anytime soon. Seriously twisted and gorgeous. So good!!!!
Good review and cool video Emma!👉🙂👈
Looks like a unique vampire movie
Almost like the Korean vampire film Thirst about a Catholic priest, who basically only drinks blood from people who are already going to die anyway.
Sounds like something I'd like (I love slow films). I hope it makes it to the UK. Love your tattoos, by the way - hadn't seen them so clearly before.
I didn't know much about this movie before your review but now I can't wait to watch it. Thanks for the video otherwise i might have overlooked a great unique vampire movie.
It's the comedic version of Let The Right One In!
I really enjoyed this one. I should have paid more attention in french class.
Paul's mom was the real hero of this movie.
Will watch for the take they chose to go with as far as Vampire angle. And share with many who i know this is tailored to 👍
oo i cant wait to see this
Watched it today. Loved it!!!
Definitely be keeping an eye out for this movie. Sounds like something I'd enjoy. Just watched No One Will Save You (2023). Didn't particularly care for that one unfortunately :-/
Saw it in Gérardmer festival in France, really cool movie!
If course it's not in my theatre 😞
I rented it twice because of how much I loved it! I rarely spend money renting films but I’m very close to Quebec and it made me so happy to see such a fantastic film made close to home! Just like Red Rooms, which I also paid for and watched twice!
Hiiii friend!!! ❤❤❤❤
Emma, if you get a chance you should definitely check out the French Canadien film The Successor.
Just watched Thanksgiving
😴💤💤💤
I read this as a very straightforward romance 😆. Enjoyed it though.
Haha 😜
I really liked it.
I'm so jealous, I wanna see this movie so bad
Sadly, I have not heard a single review that makes me excited for any new horror so far this year. I personally don't like comedy/horror, with rare exceptions, nor do I care for standard slashers. I love religious and paranormal horror, or things that just plain make you uncomfortable, like. Speak No Evil and When Evil Lurks. I hope something will come along soon that can actually scare me a little.
Have you watched the new teaser for Late Night With the Devil? It’s my most anticipated film this year. Also check out Stopmotion, Monilith and Longlegs if you haven’t yet! Those are the ones I’m most interested in as well, and look very very creepy!
I’m not a big horror comedy fan either, although I loved the movie she’s reviewing in this video.
Tomorrow I'm watching Cobweb peeps
Just watched turbo kid, very low budget, pretty good
The distribution on this film has been slow? I guess? I don't see why, the version "available"- even though it's a hard overdub in a weird language- to me, was great. I didn't want it to end actually.
Feel like there could have been more romance between the two but I like that there wasn't. The End of the F***ing World comes to mind.
🖤
Is this appropriate for 14 years old? My kid is going with school to see this movie with the whole klass they are all 14 years old ..i really ask my self if this is appropriate for this age..
Its great for teens, i think) there was nothing scary or inappropriate on screen, but it was very fun and had a lot of heart😍
This movie came out in 2003? :)
Fixed!
thansk for the review. Movie look interesting. @@spookyastronauts
2003 that’s an old movie
