Make the 6.2L V8 DI an option then we'll talk.
Theyre going to wait and then scrap it #Chevrolet are a bunch of pussies
$48K? For a Chevy? Did they legalize marijuana in Detroit?!
Yes...yes they did
I hear ya brother! I can't see paying more than 45K for a full loaded Blazer.
they smoke it while assembling this POS
MiroBG 😂🤣
@Benjamin Burkhardt my neighbor is on his 2nd one since the 1st lasted only 66,000 miles
Looks good but way way too expensive. And the inside is just spare parts from other vehicles. It’s like the new Captiva. You can get way better vehicles for these prices even luxury vehicles.
I think he meant 50k pesos
You can get a nicely equipped 2019/2020 Acura RDX for the kind of the money they are asking for the Blazer.
ezekiel1hen yeah I feel sorry for anyone who buys this overpriced Captiva. Lmao
They keep building junk and wrapping it in different cover! My sister has a Cadillac XT5! After only a year, the panels are lose, rattle and it is a shame to call is Cadillac! The big 3 never learn! Greed is killing them!
When you mass produce you get garbage...everyone is trying to beat KIA.. The cheaper the better..shame it has become
Sad but true
@@FlyEaglesFly19111that's makes no sense what you said.." almost stupid really, everything in your life is Mass produced.. Think man.
I've seen the same thing happen in a Lexus
@Doggy-style1994 czcams.com/video/LzPAw40mG4Y/video.html Kia didn't want to admit fault on their cars catching on fire.
I still drive my '08 Trailblazer that I bought in 2009 for $17,5. I can't believe they're asking as much as they are.
Yeah 48G's for the RS edition. All it is a cloned equinox but the camaro type frontend treatment! When i first saw a writeup about this last year i thought oh 😎 this might something to ✔ into when it's released take one out for a test drive. But now after seeing video reveiws about it my opinion has changed it"s not a really 4WD 4which i strongly feel to earn the blazer nameplate!
Wearing an off-road worthy nameplate which it is not. Styled to resemble a camaro which it drives nothing like. Worst of both world.
Someone let GM know that this is NOT the blazer we wanted
My Blazer would have been a body on frame Colorado! With a zr2 and SS, V8 option for next year.
charles walkes that sounds like it would of been the best bet.
This is essentially a modern day station wagon for mom (or dad) and the kids going to the store in MAYBE slippery conditions. Not for someone who wants to go off road or deal with extraordinary conditions.
I was definitely hoping for a 2 door although 4 door would be okay I guess. removable top along with a body on frame set up with 4x4 rear wheel drive setup. It fails in everything but being a modern Mom’s suv. It’s closer to the S-10 blazer.
They won't get the clue because people aren't buying it for its offroading reputation. They are buying it because vanilla cookie cutter CUV's are just today's socially-acceptable minivans.
The soccer moms will eat it up, sales will be high, and GM will think they've made the greatest incarnation of the Blazer ever
Is the new Blazer really exciting??? NOPE!!!
Bought one after test driving the competition. Handles great, beautiful car. Great all around package. Turns a lot of heads. Got it at discount.
Nobody cares about your soccer mom crossover.
After a heavy shopping around I finally leased this car, it drives like queen of streets. Even though I hate GM for the bad experiences I’ve had with their older equanixs but man this car is just so good.
This will be $28k value right after signing the purchase agreement
The Blazer starts at $28k
Anthony Webber he meant the depreciation the second you drive it off the lot.
@@watchreport
You don't say
So a lifted Camaro hatchback
Yes an rs camaro 🤣🤣
Perfect smaller family suv at $15,000 overpriced.
48K?!? WTH! You can get a new 4Runner TRD Pro less than this and is much better built. GM is out of their minds.
Absolutely. They should have taken the Canyon/Colorado ZR2 running gear and built a real Blazer out of it. The original was a rough-and-tumble offroad machine (my family had a 1971 4WD with CST), often with winches bolted to the front, not a warmed-over Malibu for taking the kids shopping.
The Toyota is better built, better looking, better driving and best of all, it’s not a Chevy.
yeah but they have a female CEO AND CFO. Doesn't that count?
Milton Friedman - I don’t know if it’s counts for anything but it might explain a lot.
It's made in Mexico
It's amazing you only found 1 problem. I see a few problems with the new blazer.
1) Front wheel drive
2) Not 4 wheel drive
3) Not an off- road vehicle
4) You'll never see a lift kit made for it
5) Price
It's what people are buying you toadstool
@@anthonywebber2211 It's asshats like you that buy this crap and think you have yourself an offroad worthy vehicle.
@@Blueknight1960
If you see my picture I have a truck you nimrod
Stylish and expensive. $48k and no sunroof?
soccer moms is the target market for this car.
The guy says it is optional in his reveiw auta be standard for the what the sticker is $48 G"s! Man, GM is on crack or them strange mushrooms!!
How do you use sunroof, its useless feature in my opinion.
Btw i have it.
@@prosto9995 that was pointless comment when u have one ..... N a sunroof has it key points for use
What points?????
Front gives me Lexus spindle grille with a Chevy bow tie and Hyundai Kona headlights
A thorough and succinct review. Sonorous? Nice word usage. Good job.
Ha! Thanks, RJ.
Way too overpriced!
As are most of these damn cars today like wth
Did they actually put a cabin air filter in this time or did they just design the space badly and leave the filter out?
bought a 1973 Blazer around 2010 with a 350/700R4 combo for $1200. Put a 4" lift, 37" tires, painted Rally orange and a black soft top on it. Drove it everyday for 5 years until I moved out of crap hole California and had to sell it. Would take that in a heartbeat over this plastic lowrider any day
Hi, Can you tell me if the Blazer has front sensors for parking assist proximity??
Great review. Thanks for sharing!
Way overpriced. Why buy this over a rdx?
RDX is smaller and costs about the same.
This is faster
Becuase why would you buy an Acura
Why would you buy GM
Why buy a premium gas vehicle that makes only 245 hp when this has regular cheaper fuel with more horsepower
“I just need a lil more luxury in the presentation” it’s a Chevy, not a Buick or Cadillac LMFAO
Hey, Mr. Angry...at $48k+ it's OK to expect more than this.
TestDriveNow Reviews by Auto Critic Steve Hammes you’re picking the wrong brand if you’d think Chevy would give you bang for your buck 😂
Just like about everything else out there, EXPENSIVE BUT CHEAP!
This is by far the best looking Chevy Suv I’ve ever seen
Nice video ,good review👍👍
Thanks, Jorge!
Is it rear wheel biased on the AWD?
Goes right along with the bevy of overpriced suv's and pickups, that the auto manufacturers have convinced the US that they all need. When did it become acceptable to pay 40-50k for a suv or truck? Let alone any vehicle. Wake up America.
Yes good review man.👍🏾
Thanks, Terriell!
Wow, just wait for the repair costs when all these automated and electronic systems start to fail.
And they will I've had Chevy transmissions dying before 100,000 miles. No thanks.
Hi, Does the Blazer have a CD player??
Nice review! Was hating on this at first but it’s really grown on me. I’m really liking the exterior and interior design although I haven’t seen it in person yet. Still way overpriced tho... but maybe leasing one might be the way to go. I’m liking the RS trim the most.
awesome looking. love the black out look.
21 miles per gallon! my 350,000 mile Chevy Blazer gets that ,it's 1997. Who the hell wants a 10-year payment on a car I don't
At 2:41, is that condensation coming out of the driver's side tailpipe, but not the passenger's side? Is that one fake? Can anyone explain this?
It's not what I initially expected when I heard that the Blazer was returning to the states. But, overall, it's a contender in the segment. A bit pricey, but as a GM guy, I know that Chevy doesn't sell at full MSRP.
It actually has a SPARE TIRE, I'm sold
We just bought one WE LOVE IT !!
Wait 6 months.
At 40,000 the transmission will fail.
Same Air Conditioning vents as my roomates Pontiac Aztec, now I see where Chevy got its inspiration from !
I don’t connect this with the “Trailblazer” as much as the original “Chevy Blazer”...but regardless, styling wise, I simply don’t get Chevrolet, or GM in general.
Sees: "Want!!!"
Hears price: "You know what I could buy for that price?! Hell no!!!"
Sunroof not even included @ $48k and it is a very expansive option. Here in the Great North it cost $2,800, bundled with 21'' wheels !?! Total price $58k (Canadian) and there is still many options available at that price.
I was thinking of buying the Ford Everest here in the Philippines. If this comes out here, I'm willing to wait!
This is the best looking car gm has ever made
I'll keep my 94 and you can have my 2005 Trailblazer.
I have a 05. Never had any problems but i am not looking forward to replacing the fuel filter which is located inside the fuel tank!
@@TDon-jk5bi Best do the entire pump while you are there. That pump has the sending unit for your gas gauge (which goes bad often), the pump (which goes bad often). If its out put a new one in.. just a sayin. You are lucky to have no probs with your TB.
It’s upsetting they removed the column shifter in the blazer though. So as the TrailBlazer.
If it were made in the USA I would have bought one and looked away at all its other issues.
Other issues?
Other issues?
I really love mines with chrome rims it looks as good as me
This should've been the new Equinox, and the Blazer shouldve been an offroad capable SUV, or they should have flipped it into a 400hp track capable all wheel drive.
There already is an Equinox crossover
Another major problem GM needs to address are their interiors. They may have been good in 2010 but in these days they are simply not ok.
Yes. And Yes.
With a 2.4L EcoTech oil burner?
I'll take mines in the Kia telluride s trim for only 35k
The Telluride is impressive for sure.
That’s what I did. It’s a fantastic value. SX trim for me though
@@atl3630 nice great choice
Did they steal the design from the RAV4?
a very cheap version of the RAV4
It looks nothing like a RAV4, thankfully.
It’s ok. But I’d go with a Jeep Grande Cherokee over that vehicle. Jeep and ram are just doing a wonderful job with the quality of materials inside.
Jeeps are uncomfortable as shit
Jeep makes off road king trucks not luxury limos
New jeeps are junk!!!
Isac Nuri actually Jeep luxury vehicles outsell Jeep Wranglers significantly but that’s ok as long as they continue to make great off road vehicles also. It’s too bad GM doesn’t make a “real blazer” or a true off road SUV. The current blazer sits too low, is not modifiable and as so many GM products these days boring. I do like the new corvette and I don’t mind the GMC trucks. Even then the GMC truck interiors are far inferior to Jeep, Ram and Ford equivalent vehicle are better
no pedal shifters on the wheel??
Someone tell me how it gets that overhead view for the 360 degree camera. 5:01 How is that even possible???
It has cameras under the side mirrors, and uses a camera mounted in the front bumper, and the back up camera to give you an all around view.
@@abromc454jive I see. Thanks for the explanation! It took four years to get an answer LOL, but I'm glad I finally got one. Again, thanks for explaining how it works.
But wait, there's an even smaller Trailblazer coming for 2020.
Looks good
Is this car sold in Indonesia
I spent less for my RDX A-Spec
I want the full size V8 2--door Blazer like in the old days, similar to Orenthal's Bronco.
I probably would have bought a Blazer this year if they were reasonably priced, but when I can get a completely loaded Rav 4 for less it's a no brainer for me. I have a hard time believing too many people will pay that price for the Blazer.
I still have a 2004 Blazer that I’d rather drive. It doesn’t have all the tech crap that will fail or break.
Very quick!
I have the 2020 model with the turn off option for stop/start
I do have the RS and the sticker was just under $53k
People are right about abit priced to high .The sticker is based on NJ price
I do notice the trans issue as in the video .i also get many head turners asking what is that.
The outside is very stylish, but interior is boring. The other thing i didn't like is,while in 2WD,it should run rear wheel and it runs in FWD.
GM Definitely sound proofed the interior because it is very quiet.
Definitely other options at that price point
I like it. I really do. I have a 2005 Trailblazer Ext and wanted this when I heard about it. But, it cost tooooo much. The top model cost 5-7k less than the top model Traverse and I’d rather get that. GMs idea and execution are slightly off.
48k and the panoramic roof still has to be added on ?
This would be a nice rental.
Never.
Love the look, power and tech on this SUV but the price stopped me in my tracks. Not as big as Traverse, not much bigger than the Equinox...which is what I bought. Unless you wa to pay another 15-20k for looks, check out the Equinox. Way more bang for your buck.
body-on-frame as opposed to.... Frame on body? Or body next to frame...? Someone explain to me
never thought id see the fall of the blazer.... the blazer was MEANT for off road and big like a truck and to be tough even the military used them and now chevy is just ruining all their new vehicles smh this is a middle class soccer moms car what has happed to heritage
The Blazer name was last made in 05...
Yeah...I was going off of TrailBlazer which was 2009.
what's funny are the people saying this is not the old blazer....the old blazer was a piece of crap, so that would be a good thing, lol
Well said, as always. Maybe Buick should have a version with the upgrades you mention. Then I guess it'd be $60,000. Never mind ...
How much is an Audi Q3 ?
Bought the 2019 Premier Model … missing 3 things IMO … larger engine possibly a 5.3 V-8 or larger, HD Radio & LED Headlights , not HID’s
Go with the RDX for sure.
Test drive at night. Every Blazer I've owned lit up the road poorly. Dealers always say it's not the vehicle with the problem.
Dont buy new chevy products.
2nd Empire why not? I bought a 2007 Trailblazer new that lasted 210k miles and only stopped when I crashed it in January.
Mine works
Never had any problems with the Chevys I have purchased.
Sounds like Scotty Kilmer got to someone.
@@mikeybikey5501 i work on cars, scotty is pretty nutty but hes kinda right regarding new chevy trash.
My 96 range rover is still going strong.
Th is is the real Chevy Equinox essentially, not Blazer.
Wheels straight off the crosstrek/xv
I have an idea for the tailgate on all SUV’s and mini vans 🧐👨🏼🔬👨🔧👨🏼🏭
Over 48k?? No way.
32?? Sure.
incentives will come...
It starts at $28,800
Looks good but after about 20,000 miles it will start coughing up parts.
My 2019 KIA Sorrento 3-row that is very quiet, very solid with compliant suspension, and loaded with tech, all for 31K just looks better and better every day.
Now if GM could get the motors to hold up and transmissions not to fail.
Nice exterior, parts bin interior. Is everyone shooting for a 50K "average transaction price"?
That's where the half-ton truck market is. Wouldn't be surprised if these get there soon, too.
That design looks like a soccer mom vehicle. Bring back the big body 2- door blazer, even if only in a limited edition.
this one or santa fe???
When he said it was made in Mexico that did it for me. Americans should be building these. Get rid of the present CEO.
2years it will be 15k. 🤣
In 2 years it maybe discontinue lol
I'm waiting to see if they decide to drop an LS in it, THEN I'll consider..
Why won't GM just drop the name Tahoe and replace it with blazer?
That's what the Tahoe truly is.
great style but should have more for that price
Would like to see an in depth review like this on the Honda Passport.
Coming soon!
Parts bin GM cheap plastic....the iconic name deserves much better than this
Typical GM - all about cost versus design and quality. You're right, the moniker deserves better.
Iconic, maybe a long long time ago?
The new explorer with rear wheel biased in st trim is miles better. May be a few thousand more but test drove one last weekend and wow. Power was great and handles fantastic. They are both expensive but the explorer was just fun to drive. This blazer is basically a old transverse which was not great anyway.
