With so many crossovers on the market to choose from, its pretty easy to drive a vehicle that gets lost in such a vast sea of SUV's. Thankfully, #Chevrolet saw this issue and gave their newest crossover a show car look that takes a lot of design cues from the #Camaro muscle car. The reborn 2019 #ChevyBlazer has a design that won't be mistaken for anything else and although it shares nothing with the old #Blazer, it is thoroughly a modern interpretation of what consumers are actually buying today. Just be prepared to pay a premium for its stand out looks and sporty driving dynamics.

@@dha588 When I think of GM, "quality" is not the adjective that comes to mind, at least not for me. They would be if I was buying one 40 years ago, but GM is known for not having good electrical systems. I speak from experience. I own a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox and the backlighting for all of the climate controls doesn't work. Fortunately, I'm familiar enough with the vehicle to know where everything is without having to look at it, but someone who's not familiar would have to turn on the dome lights to figure out what the heck they are pressing. I guess that's not the worst problem in the world but I've never heard of this happening on a Toyota or Subaru.

Interior - looks like made out of leftover parts from cheap cars and spliced together.
Mechanical components - Horrible! Tiny weak engine, crap front wheel drive, weak automatic transmission.
Conclusion - Garbage Motors (GM) made another minivan and dared name it, "Blazer." But then again, they dared relabel a ridiculous Lumina with the name badge, "Impala," a Corsica with makeup with, "Malibu," and someday they will probably do something else stupid like make a new Chevelle with a four cylinder, front wheel drive, automatic transmission as well. It is a nice wide two row crossover/suv and is so much fun to drive and was easily the most comfortable. In addition the dealership was fantastic...very nice career people. Most other dealerships (Kia, Hyundai, Honda) were all young guys who were so eager to sell a car and couldn't talk about anything but themselves.

Car based suv's are plentiful, something I grew up wishing there where more options of when all I could hope for where the rav4 and crv. The market has changed, but I know a lot of people who'd buy a 4runner before something like this. It would have been nice if like the 4runner or G-class or Wrangler, the Blazer would have been Chevy's niche product that they could have spent less on and priced the same as this, but it would have been a profit and an enthusiast favorite, just look how many people love the Colordo Z71.

Interior is cheap... just a bunch of parts borrowed from other GM products... and that includes Chevy Cruz... they put that 3.6 V6 in everything... so for $50K you get a bunch of parts from different GM products all wrapped in somewhat cool design... it's looks like they find their fool

Interior is well built and from the side I like the profile way better than this chevy junk box. Got dealer cost on it as well. 41300 with die cast floor runners. Back cargo area is huge too like you said. Way bigger than this. I just hope the reprogrammed 9speed zf holds up.

The only thing I really like about this is the camaro-inspired looks. The value proposition is poor, to even get the V6 AWD you're already spending 37k minimum when most of the competition start with a V6 at base price, and it wont look nice like the RS does which requires 44-45k to get. Also I was irked already by GM interiors as usual when I saw Matt Moran's review with the creaky center console lid lol(although your tester's wasn't). I wasn't familiar with the Blazer nameplate history so I won't understand the resentment about it being made into a soccer mom mobile (well maybe soccer dad since its more racy looking), but it would be nice to have more legit off-road SUV options. Nice review as always.
