Man I love your channel. You have inspired me to do something I never done. I want to retrace your driving videos though Colorado. It is so beautiful. I love the snow. I Live in the Liberal State of California and I'm retired so, I have the time and the money to travel. Once I see and drive the roads that you've done, I will head to Canmore, Alberta. Thank you my Brother. Keep safe and sane.I love your channel. I could watch you all day. LOL
The snow blanketed scenery from around Copper Mt. through to Georgetown is breathtaking! TY for the footage. That place instantly found a place in my heart. I'm sure there are many of us 'armchair travelers' who would appreciate it anytime you wanted to aim your camera just a little to the right of the road in front of you when the scenery is as beautiful as that! 😉
Don't you just hate when people know what's best for you. Narrow minded people. Beautiful snow on the trees and surroundings landscape. Boy you must love driving to skip Thanksgiving. But I do know without truckers no one would have stuff to make the big dinners. We should all be very thankful for men and women who work on holidays. Okay Mountain Man keep it between the ditched and keep the videos coming. It's okay to mess a few up you learn . As always be safe and God Bless. ✌️🦃
A few years ago I was traveling the highway home. It was lightly snowing when I first left. Within an hour of my drive, I was watching people hit the ditch left, right and center. Some were some pretty bad wrecks. It's thanks to me deciding to follow truckers at a safe distance that I made it home. It took me 2 days to do a 5 hour drive as I witnessed one person who followed me forever and a day decide to pass. 50km up the road, they were on their roof. They had children with them. They were all out and walking around, but I decided to pull into the next town and get a room. It's thanks to amazing truck drivers like you that I made it safely. More people need to respect the trucking industry as you all get the loads there no matter what.
So amazing this Colorado terrain and the interstates running through it. Great perspective Mike! You have serious mad skills behind that wheel. God Bless ❤
Subscribed the other day when you came up in my suggested videos. Great videos with the ones I've watched so far. I have a lot of catching up to do :-)
Thanks for the ride Senor Shotgun! I've been thrown out of better places than Colorado before. Back when I was young and pretty I was there around "The Peoples' Republic Of Boulder" quite often when "altitude training" for distance running was becoming popular. More recently, now that I'm old and grumpy, Colorado has become so crowded that you have people stacked upon people, like California. Three guys in three BMWs arguing over a parking spot at a trailhead!! Speaking nasty words to each other in front of their children?! I can watch that in Chicago! Thanks for the ride Amigo! Let me out at Eagle. I know a gal....
What a beautiful drive,it reminds me of the time they where paving inside the tunnel, so they routed everyone off 70 and up and over the Loveland pass, traffic was at a crawl , after reaching the peak and coming down my low air alarm kept sounding, so I would have to stop before my brakes slammed on, so that my air pressure could build, I had a lot of people pissed at me, but that's all I could do, great video , thank you for sharing, stay safe.
I appreciate your comments on 4 wheelers Mike, it's made me more aware how to react and drive better around semis. Now I speed up to get around, flash lights to let a trucker know they can merge over, and look ahead if a trucker needs to come over before I can get by.
Well Mike, even if you was a few minutes late, at least you made it there to deliver and that's all which counts, much better a few minutes or a few hours late than being a whole day later, we both know we can't control mother nature and what DOT does too! Thanks for the ride along and be safe! Looking forward to the next video!
Very beautiful. Now this snowy video reminds me of driving around Tahoe in the snow. Watching your video last night it was 29 degrees for me, so I was bundled up. I fell asleep so I am watching it again this morning and it is 32 degrees. One thing I wanted to say with C-DOT, you had probably good retirement and other benefits. Not sure if your job now provides for these....something to consider as you are approaching old age like me. I even did a 401K plan since I first worked which helped me retire at a fairly young age. I took it out over 10 years. This was a nice added income when I needed it, to buy this house. What you said in a previous video, you have to think of credit....the bank go by a formula of debt to income ratio. We were beyond it but my husband told the loan officer if we paid off his loan for truck, boat, credit cards we would be able to make the house payments. The bank agreed so we got our house. Granted we don't have the equity we once had, but who cares. We have a house we prefer to live in and can afford the payments. Sorry about my rambling, I wanted to give you a heads up to get that Cadillac. Oh anything in your credit report that needs explanation you can always go to the top 3 credit reports to attach a letter of explanation to your report. Good luck on that next year.
I’ve been over that pass once, only because I was going to Ontario. But it sure is one pretty sight. Couldn’t imagine living there, seeing it in all seasons. I’m headed up to Yakima right now. Gonna shoot straight north after I get to Gallup. Gonna hit 491 an the ole 160 through Cortez. An soon enough the cabbage. Drive safe! Awesome video!
Hi Mike: I’m watching this one and watching Buffalo kick the Dallas Cowboys butt. Happy turkey day, I would assume you safe at home by now? This was an interesting trip and I enjoyed riding with you. Be safe and we’ll see you next time. Thanks Edward.
The lack of good tires and the profusion of idiots is the reason for the law, Mike. I agree with you that everyone should have decent tires (they should also be trained to drive in the snow before being allowed past Idaho Springs westbound or Glenwood Springs eastbound on I70 before being allowed to drive in icy or snow packed conditions in my opinion). I have good A/S tires on an Audi Quattro but I made this same trip (westbound on the 25th and eastbound on the 27th 2019). I got passed by idiots from out of state on the way up (the day the 2' of snow storm started on the front range) in a Dodge Challenger SRT with summer tires on - I never saw them again...
John Parker If there were a dual road system, one for fumbling amateurs and another for professional drivers, all the professionals would end up in fumbler's road - - trying to avoid the fumblers! The fumblers would of course all be up on pro-road - where they don't really belong. 🃏 💭
add 6 drops of DAWN dishwashing soap to your wiper fluid. Cuts that greasey mag chloride like nobodys business. Also it helps keep ice from sticking to your wiper blades.
I like to see the innards of the Eisenhower tunnel, maybe others don't but I do :-) so you can keep filming going through it either way :-) Hope you made it on time.
Give a politician one cent and they will wont more in a day or two crying they are broke. This cycle will never stop. Socialism-communism is never the answer. I enjoy your videos.
No one is entitled to drive, especially when they are too lazy to prepare themselves for the conditions. Winter tires only make sense when living in the mountains. How hard is it to check the weather before travelling? People should plan accordingly.
Been there done that. I do have videos of me going over red mountain Pass on this channel.. I just don't have any in the snow yet.. but it's coming. ☮️
Mike: What's you opinion on studded tires on 4-wheelers? I used them as seasonal tires in NW Oregon for years without any trouble. Icy roads were no sweat. Small front wheel drive Fiat 128 sedan.
G'day again mike, The reason I believe they keep shutting down the highways Due to the snow, Maybe too many inexperienced drivers getting caught out Not saying just truck drivers either as the majority of truck Drivers are experienced it maybe tourist, overseas drivers that come from countries that don't get snow & don't know The consequences that what can happen if you don't have Snow driving experience & drivers that don't pay attention to The conditions. Have a nice one, stay safe during the crazy season.
I heard there's a secret underground big rig garage for covert trucks that go to Utah's Grand and luxurious underground military base dugway Proving Grounds. Cuz the cargo is so sensitive. But I don't know if that's true and I'd like to know if it is where they go in case something happens,. But I'm sure your average Joe can't answer that question. LOL.
One thing also do not drive over your skills it doesn't hurt to slow down as so you can make it there to deliver. Don't miss driving I-70 thru Colorado at all...
I don't use GPS cuz I don't be like being told what to do.. also I started driving truck before all of that and we used maps.. so just keeping with tradition I just kept using maps and I guess I suppose I will continue to do so. I will say this though.. I did evolve with the electronics I do use Google maps and use it highly and use the street view and satellite mode and all that other stuff and I look it all up myself before I even get there so I know what I'm doing and I don't have some electronic computer girl with a great sweet voice telling me turn here turn there I already know.. that is why.. thanks for asking and thanks for watching ☮️

Great beautiful scenery. Looking at this video reminded me of "John Denver's " song, "Rocky Mountain High" love that song.
Don't you just hate when people know what's best for you.
Narrow minded people. Beautiful snow on the trees and surroundings landscape.

Than you for another beautiful trip - I just had to take another ride on the million dollar highway before this one-it is my favorite.
A few years ago I was traveling the highway home. It was lightly snowing when I first left. Within an hour of my drive, I was watching people hit the ditch left, right and center. I didn't think I would enjoy this channel but I really do.
Beautiful video coverage
As a kid a wanted to become a trucker but I became sailor (captain/chief engineer unlimited propulsion) and I don't regret it, no drivers licence.
Thank Mike For Very Awesome Video
That Volvo sounds nice. They've improved.

I was passing through Vail while coming back from Cali to Colorado and it was a snow storm 😂 almost slipped off the mountain 🤦♂️
That road looks scary and I'm just sitting here watching.
Great Mike now that I have seen it - I dont have to go there- Bullshit - I have to go there - even if it is crappy LOL
Love it.
Thanks again for keeping out of truck stops.
Muito bom, ficamos pegando uma carona com você e conhecendo os EUA. Brasília-DF / Brasil.
I call shotgun. Always a pleasure and never long enough, Thanks friend. Safe driving to you .
Awesome compliment overly . Thank you and thanks for watching ☮️.
Give a politician one cent and they will wont more in a day or two crying they are broke. This cycle will never stop. Socialism-communism is never the answer. I enjoy your videos.
boy, That's a long pull up to the tunnel. You ever go over Loveland Pass? Been over that a lot before the tunnel was built. pretty hairy times.
I'll wonder how happy the people in Georgetown were when they found out the expressway was going to be put right next to them.
Hello, love your videos. Please make videos of the fuel stops as well, for the people like us not from USA thanks. Be safe.
No one is entitled to drive, especially when they are too lazy to prepare themselves for the conditions. Winter tires only make sense when living in the mountains. How hard is it to check the weather before travelling? People should plan accordingly.
41:00 Genessee fog is pretty common. Today was unusual in that there was an inversion, so Genessee had some blue sky while Denver was in the fog.
Amen.
Enjoying the ride shotgun...miss being out there
Happy Thanksgiving I made it through the sickness feeling better
Happy to be riding shotgun with you Mike thanks bud 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 peace
What camera are you using for these recordings?
Beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving:)
Thanks for the trip through God's country.....
fyi:Here in YYC they use a beet juice mixture ...which is environmentally blab blab better then salt ✌
If it's better than mag chloride.. I'm down..
I love these ride a longs , anything goes wrong , snow storm , truck brakes down , black ice roll over....... I just change the channel.
Thx Mike
I'm Planning To Move To Durango...I Can't Wait.
Good luck.Greetıngs from Turkıye
Dillon reservoir used to be a huge cattle ranch.
I’m assuming this is the storm that happened during thanksgiving? I live in NM and it was a drive to get back home because of that storm.
Piece of cake. Try Red Mountain Pass.
Been there done that. I do have videos of me going over red mountain Pass on this channel.. I just don't have any in the snow yet.. but it's coming. ☮️
Good luck and Be careful.

i use to use them too. unfortunately, they tear up the highways.
Fiat 128 the common man's Ferrari...I owned one great performance.
How do those windshield heaters work?
Hello Mr , Please which camera you used for this video ?
Think how many times they would close the roads if we didn't have globle warmiong. just sayen
G'day again mike,
The reason I believe they keep shutting down the highways
Due to the snow,
Maybe too many inexperienced drivers getting caught out
Not saying just truck drivers either as the majority of truck
Drivers are experienced it maybe tourist, overseas drivers that come from countries that don't get snow & don't know
The consequences that what can happen if you don't have
Snow driving experience & drivers that don't pay attention to
The conditions.
Have a nice one, stay safe during the crazy season.
When they shut down they can clear without interference. It's a money thing.
@@larryww6041 absolutely right.
And cars. They need to have traction laws and close the highway to cars ie non 4x4.
He sees it, he just doesn't care.
Colorado you're in my City
Bonito. Amigo
hey man ... dominos is always in a hurry to deliver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely never drive over your ability.. ☮️
no camera vibration, but can't see both fender mirrors now like in live.
Bonne route à vous tous
Merci.. ☮️
Drivers ed should be taught by retired truck drivers. Not steering wheel holders. TRUCK DRIVERS. Have a great day Mike.
Mike, now happy EggNog.
You sure do get to see some beautiful places. Why dont you use gps?
I don't use GPS cuz I don't be like being told what to do.. also I started driving truck before all of that and we used maps.. so just keeping with tradition I just kept using maps and I guess I suppose I will continue to do so.
