I have to tell you about my Mom and what your channel does for her! About a year and a half ago my mom had to have her right leg amputated due to diabetes. She is wheelchair bound and cant leave her house unless I can take the time off to drive down to see her. My Mom Debra A. from Springfield Missouri just feels so free and with your videos! She feels like she is sitting in the front seat with you. You help her get away and out of the house! Thank you so much. She just loves you! Next time can you say hi to her when you go through a trip of a beautiful mountain pass!!
Got a new phone shows more picture This is soooooo pretty. So homesick for a roadtrip Ya really know your roads so glad ya do cause I'd be lost Thanks for the ride be safe out there
Thank You for the beautiful ride, the snow on the mountains sure is pretty. I love riding with you. Oh, yes on windows for your shed so handy to have natural lighting. Stay safe Mountain Man Mike. You are so awesome!
Well there just isn’t anything like a Riding Shotgun video ! Question: Which is more important ? 1) To have coffee in the truck. Or 2) To have beer at home , I ponder these things 🤔
I used to live in Aurora for 10 years and traveled with me ex all over Colorado, NM, Utah, Wyoming. I live in Oklahoma now and miss Colorado so much. By watching your videos- it makes me feel like I am back there. Safe travels👍
The wealth in the Vail Valley is truly stunning... I remember riding through that area in the 60s and it was barely going.... the development has been huge...big bucks $$$ Very beautiful area and the skiing is great 👍
When I built my log cabin home we used Pella windows, no where close to those prices. Plus we had blinds in between the panes of glass. Saved alot of money because you don't need window treatments to cover the windows. And they are very energy efficient.
We were just in Colorado September 29-30, and drove I-70 from Colorado Springs to grand junction. Loved the aspens and the scenery. Gorgeous state! Glad to have found your channel - happy to experience your driving from my chair!
Good morning! Enjoyed hearing about your progress on the new shed. Seems as we age our minds & bodies go through a separation. You want to do, but your body has other plans. Aleve may help with some of those aches if you can take it. The windows in the shed would be a good idea for ventilation. I put 3 in mine. 2 on west side brings in a good breeze in summer if I'm working on a project. The "1" on North side, I can leave partially up a little during summer to keep fresh air coming in. It's in an area rain won't come in, & it's only up 2-3". I love hearing you talk, & riding shotgun with you to see the beautiful scenery you see. Enjoy the rest of your day as best as you can. I don't know how some of these drivers today get a license. Peace be unto you as well.
RE remembering which side of a boat is port: Years ago my father taught me the following sentence, which talks about a sailor named Red: Red left port going to the sea. Not only does the sentence remind us that port is on the left side of the ship, it also tells us that, when you are on a river flowing down towards the sea [ocean] you keep the red buoys to the left. Dad was a smart cookie.
Love the video. Raining in Iowa today, snow in the Black Hills of South Dakota today and eastern Wyoming. I 90 was closed. Can't wait to see the Boston video. Safe travels.
Glad to hear Ol' Betsy is doing so well! I kinda relate to her seeing I'm Ol' Betsy too! I'm 72 yo and have many miles on me too! Treat her good! She loves you!
Hey Brother I want you to know man I've been watching your videos for a while now and you have got the best videos out here on CZcams without a doubt I lay here at night and watch your videos when you're traveling up and down the road and different weather and stuff and it's so relaxing and I appreciate it so much man keep up the great work you're doing you got a big big superfan here keep it up
The more I watch your videos, the more I want to do a road trip and see this Amazing Country. Thanks for the scenic views and conversation. Thanks also for passing on the knowledge and experience. I continue to learn something new every day. Safe Travels and wish you well on the shed building. That did sound a might steep what they want to charge to install those windows. How about them installing the more difficult ones and maybe have someone else do the others or maybe eliminate some of those windows? Just a thought.
I just found your channel and I must tell you how much I enjoy your videos. Each video I've seen contains a nice mix of road video, and your talking. BTW, I drove a semi for a week back in 1975 in New York and Vermont.
Another great drive Mike trees have started dropping there leaves takes a bit of color away oh well that's normal "aye" you keep safe now cheers mate "RB" downunder
Mr. Mike windows are easy to install it is basically four screws to install an little foam or insulation of your choice and some caulking. Shop around you can buy them directly from a manufacturer. You may be able to buy them a few at a time or all together and pick them up at will call. Even if you have to change window framing with 2x or 1x4 and window casing is easy. If you can build a shed you can install windows over winter at your leisure.
Hiya Shotgun..I really like riding along side with you..I hadn't seen a video of yours since my first comment but I have been thinking about ya..I finally was able to join you this evening and you have put a "KOOL-AID SMILE" on my face, thank you.
Thoroughly enjoying your video’s Mike . I posed a question to you not to long ago about making a video with you in it so your followers can see our driver and must say we look forward to listening to your comments about your travels, I know I do. I Be safe and keeping you in my prayers for safe driving .
One thing I notice about livestock hauler rigs is that more often than not,the tractors are almost always Peterbilts and they’re usually really nice trucks. The 2 sheep haulers you passed are prime examples. The trailers are pretty sweet too.
Never get tired of this ride don't care the season. Snow on the grass this morning in NW Colorado, roads wet at 6500' now at 6:30 pm Wednesday Oct 13 cloudy and dry. Snow coming later tonite. So Casper snowed out eh? Its coming, time to relearn how to drive in the snow and ice. Be safe out there Mike. Still lookin for the chickn!!
Check to see if you have a company called "Window World" where you live. They measure, custom size and install your windows. Very good windows and a reasonable price. I'm in Florida and my double pane widows have kept the heat out for years now. I was shocked to my core when I got a huge gigantic quote from a big name company. My mind was blown by the sky high amount they quoted. Good luck. Love riding with you! You are anamazing travel companion!
Mike, I had "Window World" replace my windows 2 years ago and I do not have any complaints. Anderson's estimate was $10,000.00 dollars higher for the same job as "Window World". My heat bill the last two winters were about quarter lower each month. Plus, I do not have to put up the scotch window anymore to prevent heat loss through the windows! I would check around before settling with Anderson's on replacing your windows, that's is you are looking for a lower estimate! I really enjoy riding with you. I wish all the truckers I come in contact when I am on the highway p, were you! I very much trust your driving! I was in Colorado 2 Springs ago driving home from Phoenix where I picked up for myself a 2005 Buick LaCrosse. I spent a week traveling through Colorado, and the scenery was awesome! So I really do appreciate you taking us through this beautiful state! Take Care! 😊 ❤️
I always look forward to your videos and political commentary. I am a conservative, God fearing Christian. I am retired and disabled and look forward to riding shotgun!
Wow they are proud of their windows. I buy mine at the local lumber yard they get me any size any style any brand. I would never have dreamed of charging somebody that kind of money to replace windows. I guess I've been missing out
Hey Mike !!! Do they have a ""Champion Window"" Sales in your area as we have them installed at our house ! they are Thermo pane with the tilt in cleaning so you Don't have to be on a ladder to clean the outside !! They have a good Quality Control on their workmanship as they have a warranty on them !! if you have a problem ,, you call in the # on the window & they will replace it !! Enjoyed the ride as always & ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!
That’s an Extremely Outrageous price on windows!! We always have installed our own-Not difficult!! And we always look for a good reasonable price! ( I have custom ordered also- but the prices have never been crazy!) Your quote is Far from reasonable!!! We have built and remodeled several places. Trust me -You could do this🤗
Hey Mike reference your nautical observance a Ship sails on the surface of the seas, a Boat drives under water, so is classed as a Submarine - least that is the folklore over here in the UK. Just in case you are interested or anyone watching this thinks Boats are surface craft. Nice scenery as usual and the first hint snow fall is just around the corner, where is my sledge? Cheers the Noo from Scotland.
Gosh, I need a road trip to see some fall colors. Let's Go Brandon and Newscum has the gas prices jacked though. Might have to splurge and take the motorcycles with us up 395.
Hey Mike, thought you bought the house with daughter and hubby, so how come you do all the work and pay out the money too! Just saying that it should be shared....
mike, have you been on i-81? my son travels on it from virginia to tennessee every night.i have heard i-81 is one of the most dangerous.he has some scary stories.take care out there.
That is called ' regenerative braking ' kind of works like a jake brake in reverse when you let off the pedal even without hitting the brake. I don't know exactly how it works but a cousins car has it. They are going to have to come up with trucks that drive themselves because fewer and fewer drivers out there that know how to drive including four wheeler drivers. Keep the hammer down and the shiny side up ! PEACE !
There's a difference between a trick to it and skill that's for sure. Even then, they need programmed, built, maintained. EDIT: If you are looking at the bow of the boat is that from inside or outside?
So.... MMM - please chime in on your thoughts about the constant reports of driver shortages - and the problems drivers actually have dealing with California regs for independent truckers and what I hear about truckers missing appointment times at the docs and having to reschedule sometimes week or more later.
Exactly. You just answered my question before I could ask it! Seriously, I worked with tons of aerospace engineers @ Lockheed and they tend to overlook the obvious at times, engineers in general that is. How do you program for a once in a blue moon event in an autonomous truck? In your videos, you encounter a lot of stuff you have to figure your way out of...I don't see a driverless truck ....even with the most advanced AI on board being able to do that. Thoughts?
I have to tell you about my Mom and what your channel does for her! About a year and a half ago my mom had to have her right leg amputated due to diabetes. Sorry about your Mom, but Riding Shotgun does not answer or like any replies on here
Another adventure. Once again, thank you.

Good to see you again Mike after long time ❤ good night and remember God is always with you ⛟🚛🚚

Thanks for your nuggets of knowledge on port and starboard and automatics.

@@mikeymc3094 Well the cities even when it snows, man oh man. Mike can share a few stories. Oh the horror!!
The Left & Port both have 4 letters. That's how my dad told me to remember too. Nice :)

27:15 A place as beautiful as heaven
The phase "east, west, south or north bound and down" was how truckers logged off the CB back in the 70's.
I likew those chains that you flip a switch and they move into position and rotate so a chain goes under the tires

No that window price is nonsense - don't get ripped off
Love the vids, I wish you'd pull back a little so we can see your fender mirrors I like watching the trailer tracking
Good Stuff👍🏿😀

MMM, curious if you could discuss, if you have time, the impact container shipping has on your segment of the industry. Do you ever pull any?
no snow...good....Casper Wyoming is snowed out
been a while, but liked it better when I could see the mirrors better.
Co lorado got snow
Hope to hear from ya soon
Be safe
Good for you holding off on the windows

Mountain Man Mike Howdy! Peace!
Probably Lowe’s lot cheaper than Anderson even with their contract installers-are you getting triple pane?
Love that part of the USA I BEEN ELK HUNTING OUT THERE IN THE MID 1990S
Another nice scenic trip. And agreed, Lowes > HD. lol
Sorry Mike missed this for a day I am back driving trucks because of a driver shortage UK John
Mike, you should drive a Tesla model 3 or y just to get an idea of the acceleration, it is awesome. The torque is amazing.
There's a difference between a trick to it and skill that's for sure. Even then, they need programmed, built, maintained. EDIT: If you are looking at the bow of the boat is that from inside or outside?
inside. Port left and red, starboard right and green.
How would a fully loaded Tesla truck slow down when going east on I-70 into Denver? It doesn't have a jake brake so will it burn out the brakes?
have 10 windows in our place, had milgard ultra premium fiberglass frames installed. 15,000 ca-chings.
So.... MMM - please chime in on your thoughts about the constant reports of driver shortages - and the problems drivers actually have dealing with California regs for independent truckers and what I hear about truckers missing appointment times at the docs and having to reschedule sometimes week or more later.
Great video as always, wish that you would post more but if you can not that's fine, just one question I would like to ask what happened to the drone?
A nice autumn/fall drive towards the mountains, was this Colorado or Utah?❤️🇬🇧👍 Good scenic route

It can't compute fast enough to deal with everything.
