@@144.natehamilton please do! Maybe one talking about left foot braking? Much like not just stomping the brake when understeering towards a wall, my brain has a hard time convincing my feet to be on throttle and brake at the same time when needed.
The rev limiter was a great point i don't think most people consider. An engine only makes power to a certain point of its power band. Actually one of the things i like to practice on my sim is drifting only on throttle, but with the rules of no rev limiter, and i can never lift off the throttle 100%. Its actually helped a lot with my throttle control.
this series is dope, would love an episode on a Competition side of things What you think about prior to driving to calm you down or what’s your mindset, things to watch for and what to do for people trying to enter comps!!
Nate you’re a true gem to the world of Motorsports, not just drifting. Your approach to everything, your positivity, the way you willingly give out information to help the next generation is priceless. Because of you and your podcasts I’ve learned so much and am now in the Driver Contingency Program with Tire Streets! Hoping to grow and work with them more on the Time Attack/AutoX side of Motorsport, but it’s because of you I was able to set myself up for that and have a more well thought out approach. I just want to thank you, for me and for the whole community! Keep that fire in you and keep those tires burning! 💙💨
This is the vibe that keeps me motivated dude. Love the feedback and congrats on the deal with TS! Let me know if you ever need anything buddy! Keep pushing
Clicked right away, spent years sliding around the mountain roads and the desert but not on asphalt. Soon as my 71 Nova is ready I plan on drifting it, good stuff 🤘🏻
great video not many drivers can go back and show their mistakes and triumphs to help teach others the techniques and thought process of an experienced driver.
@@144.natehamilton I'm all for this series I want to get into drifting but the manual rwd cars in my country are expensive so It alot cheaper for me to build a car but the easiest car to build was to v8 swap an awd minivan and right now I'm still 7 thousand cheaper than buying the cheapest manual rwd car here
@@144.natehamilton it’d be dope to see your perspective of your driving at different power levels, jzx vs gr86 or similar low power to high power cars and just different inputs used
I do something similar with my Miata and the hand brake, but I use it to slow down the Miata’s snappy transitions and keep the rear of the car squatted thru transition.
Super sick video! It is a huge help for people like me learning on the sim. If you do make more of these in the future, the < > keys move the video frame-by-frame if you are trying to point out a technique. Looking forward to the next one!

thank you for explaining the ebrake during transitions! i found myself doing it when necessary and didn't even know why i was doing it lol.
It could look "wrong" but for me it works dude!
Nate, I have a feeling these videos will do well. Keep up the great work!
You think so?
Right on, I will keep doing them if the people want it!

Ok, so more videos like this is the goal

Interesting insight coming directly from the driver about the technique vs other people analyzing the driver assuming what he’s doing. Sick vid!
Appreciate the feedback, so we should make more?

In the new car it seems your able to stay on throttle during gear changes?
Im definitely still using clutch, but applying rev's while shifting. So it's quick and the "sounds" don't stop! Hope that helps
Okay, but drifting is part of the fun of drifting
☯️
It even autocorrected crashing to drifting LOL
How much harder is it to drift without power steering
I drift without power steering. All depends on the chassis and your alignment setup. I have more caster in my car for more self steer
WAY HARDER!
