As a drag racer, whenever you pressurize the system that is a immediate top end off. You're wasting time dealing with possible issues when you could have just solved it. Head gasket is one way, another less common but happens frequently, is a cracked head casting. If we push water at the 1/8th mile marker, we strip the top end off as soon as we get to the trailer. New heads and gaskets, bolt check, and make another hit. 99% of the time, that solves our issues
He isnt at the power level yet where his should be cracking a 2J head. He likely just lifted the head, he either needs the 625 headstuds or need to get the block and head machined and go to 1/2" headstuds.
Man, so proud of you . I remember a young Nate running out of fuel in his generator back at East Coast Bash 2010. I gave you some gas lol. It's good seeing good dudes rise to the top.

Sometimes things just don't go the way you want them to. As long as you're always learning / taking something away from a setback, you're winning. Had a blast this past weekend with this camp! Always good vibes.
You really did everything you could and drove amazing those last few runs despite the issues! Love your channel or the really raw high parts and even seeing the low parts that drifting has. You guys are really killing it! Stoked for whats to come! Shoutout 144 and nate!
That's an awful feeling. Especially after spending so much time and money, I feel for you man. Hope everything can get figured out shortly and get to enjoy that new build to the fullest!
Keep pushing guys!! Things will sort themselves out and the GR will be back ripping better than ever. Tito killing it on the videos!!! See y'all in Michigan!

I’m sure you and your team has checked this by now but I had an issue with an earls -16AN fitting leaking air in but no fluid out! Just an idea, I didn’t think that was possible but I changed the fitting out and never had an issue again.. I found it looking for vacuum leak on accident 😂
I'm having the same issue with my rear rad 2jz s14, I believe its just a massive air lock. Do you have a coolant pressure sensor? I have done a cumbustion test and have found no co2 in the coolant, so no blown hg or cracked head/block... Ive just put a bleeder on the top waterneck and blocked the bypass tube(I run elec water pump so no thermo) to see if that is going to eliminate the issue. I can let you know if that solves it? Not even vacuum bleeding sorrs my air lock out, I dont see how it could be a loose fitting for me as it holds pressure befor we pour coolant in. When you get her back together and if your having the same issue, do this test to see if its the same as me. Unplug thermos, run the car to bleed and as you get to 80degc it should start bubbling and get more aggressive as it get hotter. If it does this, we have the same issue. Feel free to hit me up to bounce ideas 🤙 Good luck.
Well... to be honest I don't think i've got a fair taste just yet lol I love the 2J and believe I will love it even more once i'm able to get comfortable and work thru this difficult patch of results with it.... But it's something we are doing as a team and not the 2J package. So yeah.. hope that helps
Did you guys re-tension the cylinder head after initial heat cycles etc? Maybe everything settled after the last event and it just needed a few extra ugga duggas? Good luck with the investigation and repairs. Car looks and sounds absolutely amazing.
