Good video. The gear you missing is cone shaped and the pin in the shaft drives it.

Yea. I found it the next day buried in a pile of parts. The hopper still has to be rebuilt but we have the second hopper rebuilt and on the tractor now. Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching the video.

I’m gone try to help you out bud. Go back track yourself to where the hopper was laying. The gear will fall right out the bottom of the hopper. Agri supply has the gear for like $7 if you can’t locate yours. The hopper bolt is called a j bolt. Put you a wing nut on that for quick removal. That fast hitch you were on the wrong end lay right under the pedals and you can sit it right up there n see what you are doing with putting that pin in. That idler back there on the drive by the final drive has 2 problems. The sprocket supposed to be to the back under the chain but it has the wrong sprocket on it. That 1 is waay too big. It supposed to have alittle small 1 but if everything clears n turns let it ride. Great video bud. I’ve lost a few of those cog gears under the hopper myself lol

Thanks for the advice. I found the cog gear the next day in a pile of parts. We currently have another hopper on it that we just got done repairing. Thanks for the comment and I’ll have to do some more research on the whole setup.

@@TheW.Homestead I rebuilt my entire hopper also about a month ago or so. I had all kinds of kinks to work out myself lol

Yea the one we rebuilt was plagued with issues. The gate was completely froze the shield inside of it was rusted to almost not existing anymore and all the bolts were broken off. After a lot of sanding and elbow grease it works like a champ now.

It’s 2 styles of those drives. I have both. You have the newer 1 with the single idler. The older 1 has double idlers up front under the transmission. Swing the whole arm the idler is on to the rear right under the gear in the final drive with it under the chain but that large gear may not clear the other gear. Your front chain supposed to have a idler that keeps the chain tight n you sit the chain in freely n drop the spring loaded idler on top of it but that idler isn’t necessary to have
