Think you missed the biggest advantage of a belt driven board, being able to have a bigger variety of wheels and not being stuck with cheap urethane
Still a great review
What wheels can I buy for this board? links plz?
@@jameshabisohn1110 There are a few different wheel options, most things should work but make sure that the pulleys match up. Would suggest Cloudwheels or 107mm Abec wheels.
@@jameshabisohn1110 their latest review on the WOWGO website has a post with Cloud Wheels installed and has a pic
I realize it's kind of off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream new series online ?
@Jad Casen Flixportal xD
The best board is the one that you can afford that’s suits your need.
the backfire g2 is like 400 bucks and is extremely good, unless you're into eskating drag racing, it is a really good bang for the buck
DanieI Joseph meepo V3 OP

Chapaa i got a backfire g2 black and its coming today , later for christmas i want to get belt driven one and this wowgo 3x looks good
@@wearejungians is a 7000$ {plutonium}board seriously better than a regular board?
Only 750?!?! I feel kinda scammed with my boosted board now
Boosted is like the Apple of e-boards
Valeskia the boosted is incredibly reliable and has warranty
this board has a 12s battery meaning it should be able to go way faster than 24mph. plus this company will ignore you once you place your order. youre better off making your own for that price
Valeskia tf u mean
Dumb comparisons
Michael Y it’s not reliable. I used to be a boosted owner and it kept breaking so I sold it, since boosted the company is going under Financial issues warranty doesn’t matter anymore, repairs will cost the price of a brand new V3 meepo
My Dude Dave was look cool AF in that board. How you keep luring me in these E. Board vids, man!?! Legit entertainment!
Wowgo skateboards are awesome boards and I've had mine for yr or so after your review of it and I'll probably be buying this new one now , good job on your videos and it helps people out for sure , keep them coming and thanks 👍👍👍
You guys are great! Definitely considering the WowGo 3X...Boosted Stealth review would be awesome.
Thanks!
and im still here with my wowgo 2s... at least the board never let me down on my daily commute to work. looking forward upgrade my board to wowgo 3 or onewheel soon
Thanks guys. Ordered WowGo 3, comes tomorrow. Great review
thank you man for everything , ive learned many things from you , first i saw your video with Wowgo 3 , went to the page to buy and after i say lets see some comparation .. now im order the 3X . thank you man
I love my wowgo 2s. I am going to sell it and upgrade to the 3 soon. Also, another thing to remember is that belt driven boards require more maintenance.
yeah i got the wow go 3x and im now on the 3rd set of belts . they keep snappin
@@TheKillTable how long do they last you
@@xander5301 idk depends I live in rough road territory
Long time viewer. Great long video. I've been riding the wowgo mini now for 2 years every day. I've got the Santo battery and it's important I think to talk about the longevity of the batteries. My commute is 22 km ever day. Cool thing about Jason at wowgo is, I told him I needed to replace my hubs (long after warranty) and he said buy another board and I'll replace the hubs for free (almost same cost)... Done. I now have 2 minis.
The practicality of the shortboard with kicktail can not be over emphasized.
Any mention of belt boards has to make mention that at the point of battery depletion you can't manually ride.
Wish u would take a look at the wowgo mini with the wowgo 2s heart. It's the perfect budget board.
Cheers dig your skateboard vids
I've seen with this belt you can push after battery depletion actually
Excellent review and comparison. This will really help me with deciding what I want. Thanks
Good video and always good to see Dave is still alive!

But love your vids, keep up the good work bro🤙
They drop the price it's now 749 + code it's close to 700 it's great price
I love that you rock a helmet! Your life is more important than looking cool especially being with traffic. ride safe! great vid!
Talon id like to see a wowgo 3x vs owenboard w2 i think it would be a good matchup.Keep up the good work!!!!
Yes, this!
The W2 already wins at its price point, power and range
@@Mk1DzL alright I guess he shouldn't bother making a video then you summed it all up for everyone.lol😜😜
@@Mk1DzL not really true. The w2 beats the 3x on range and top speed but not power. Just check out the SkateMetric comparison between the w2 and the wowgo 3. We've seen the 3x has more torque than the 3 so the 3c should have an even bigger advantage
@@bournechupacabra Based on what I saw from this test, I would even wager the 3x might even surpass the boosted stealth from a performance standpoint.
Watching you guys make me envy ... so expensive for me to own one ...every USD I need to multiply by 4.3 exclude shipping etc ... I'm 55yrs old ...still love to own and ride one ... cannot afford but enjoy watching you guys riding it ...
Glad you made this video man. Definitely will get this board since the wowgo2s still uses the same back hub motors as the 3s. It's not that significantly different besides the foam grip tape and smaller enclosure of the batteries. I also would like them to offer the 8.0 ah. Battery option as they did for.the wowgo3s .
Awesome video.... thanks for sharing guy's... love electric skateboards
Good stuff man, best skateboard reviewer on CZcams
I would love to see you test boosted stealth and compare it to the wowgo 3 or 3x
Dont forget the best advantage of belt drive over hubs... the ability to change the wheels. I have rough roads where i live so belt drives with soft durometer wheels is a must for me 👍
Very informative, thank you!
Just bought a 3x today! Hope it was worth it! I'm a novice. First board
Nice! I'm shopping now. I've been checking out the Meepo boards. I like the NLS Pro but this Wowgo is really nice too
Make sure you check the back wheels as I heard WowGo used only one bearing for each wheels and its pulleys don't sit in there so they wobble badly. In result, the bearings in the back wheels exploding. I'd suggest to check it and add more bearings in the back wheels.
@@akalia_07 I ordered the new Backfire Zealot a couple weeks ago. It has a new stiffer composite deck. Should be here soon 👍
@@WorldwideDarts Nice! Good choice! When you receive that board, make sure to apply blue Loctite on ESC and Battery casing bolts and screws.
They must have listened to you when you said You would only pay 150 more for the X because its on their site for 749.
They just added a $40 off discount code making it $709
Jeff Gin read video description
This thing should be about the same price as the onboard.
therealestmc85 It is.... Ownboard W2 has been out a lot longer. This wowgo JUST came out. $627 with discount for W2 and $705 for the wowgo which is very close in price range. W2 looks generic, wowgo is a lot better looking board.
@@maggotboy72 for the amount of is 7000$ {plutonium} bio boards worth the price difference in a regular boards? Is the value worth it?
Btw, nice vid man! Like your comparison. Good work as always bruh 👍👍👍
Great review, I would definitely go with boosted If I am gonna to spend 900 just based with the customer service for boosted
Really liked this video !
Thanks for the review! did you feel a big difference in comfort between the belt drive wheels and the hub motor wheel? Do you think the 3x is a big step up in ride comfort on bad roads over the wowgo 3? Thanks!
I love my wowgo 2s. Had it for a year never let me down
got mine for only 2 moths and it already is making clicking noises when i ride it , poor quality build
@@n9phoenix949 I'm not just saying this. Not sure what happened with yours but I've literally had the board almost a year and ride it everyday as a form of transportation and for what I paid it's one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Definitely got my money worth
@@n9phoenix949 I'm definitely buying a 3
Dope vid Brothas
Both boards pretty similar
Hehe I watched to the very end 😂😂😂
Hey Talon sei
How does Wowgo 3X ride over bumps and cracks compared to normal Wow go 3? Did you notice any difference? Belt driven boards should have smoother ride because thick urethan at the back compared to thin sleeve of hub motor board.
Glad to see you're wearing your helmet man. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for a very professional and objective review. Do you think it´s worth the extra money for the X to get a bit more comfort (wheels vs sleeves) and power compared to the Wowgo 3? I have a Backfire G2T and would like a bit more torque and comfort.
You truly are the reason why I got the Meepo NLS and you're probably going to be the reason why I get this. lol
19:39 That's so me right now. I can't make a decision for anything. Got to watch more videos I guess lol
The best reason for belts is being able to use true downhill wheels.
Also a bonus is you can modify the pulleys to different tooth sizes to change the speed.
Do they do different pulleys for these belt driven boards? Must be and maybe even aftermarket ones too
No mention whether the full eurethane wheels are more shock absorbing than hub motor wheels. That is supposed to be a big advantage of belt drive.
socomon69 they definitely are
They're definitely more replaceable if the board lasts a long time. You're kind of relying on wowgo to keep producing the sleeves otherwise
@@wangouthangout Push come to shove you could always slap somebody else's hub motors on there.
@@socomon69 That's partially true. Not all hub motors work with all ESC's.
That’s kinda a known fact about belts vs hubs
Awesome video man! Have you checked out any offroad boards? I was thinking for myself while camping.
Awesome board. Love the belts.
Can’t wait for Sunday Gunday video. What ya shooting for Sunday gunday?
That thing sounds like one of those plank cutting saws!
You should take a look at the Summerboard, its like riding a snowboard but on the street supposedly.
Dude you have allot of boats.. super lucky I’ve been looking at getting one for work for over a month. Still having a hard time saving up for one.
Boosted stealth review would be cool...
That was grand !!!!!👍
Cool vid. that is one beautiful church you guys stopped in front of.
The belts give extreme torque to the acceleration, and so in order to help the hub motors just give it a kick(one pedal) and you'll accelerate way faster on hub motors.
So 1st this review sealed the deal thnx! Lots of great reviews though but the test drive reactions/comparisons ...yeah!. Got 26km on a charge hills and all and 38kmh on the school zone radar (it's 40kmh limit relax) I'm just shy of 200lbs btw - brakes and transitions well. Skipped the Vans (sorry) for some Asics Gels for these OG legs and it's all yummy. Did I mention it only arrived yest (19 days to CAN So merci for the headsup 🙏 review! Bon Voyage!
Sweet video, thank you! You didn't mention the benefits of belt-drive & the ability to change wheels easier & less $$... Unless I missed it. I went with the 3x so I could upgrade to the cloud wheels which seem more readily available on belt drives.
I'm pretty sure cloud wheels makes hub motor sleeves now called donuts on their website and wowgo makes their own version of cloudwheels called the honeycomb but they're only 105 in size.
Hubs looks sleeker and less noise to boot, but the torque on the belts are hard to ignore
My man. Awesome video. You have to check out the new MEEPO AWD Pro. It smokes anything and everything for a mid tear board. Really good price for its specs to. Let me know what you think
TheTuberQ 100% agree just ordered, definitely top 3 on the market for price and power
That thing bussin
This board looks amazing. It's definitely one I'm looking at but I'm afraid that belt will attract dirt and small rocks which would result in motor issues down the road.
Hope I can have one of your old board I really want to learn how to ride a long board thanks
Wouldn't arrive till winter, but I'm tempted. Would it be easy to change the wheels over to SR Foamies or some 107/110s?
Comfort difference? How does it handle cracks in the road
Love to wowgo my mini 2s is coming soooon
Shopping for a board right now and waiting on the Trump 2.0 stimulus check to drop. This is on sale right now for $100 off and I'm going to get this or the Meepo NLS Pro. Maybe even the AWD Meepo. Totally undecided though. If anyone wants to offer some suggestions I'm all ears 👍
i have this bord and is insane !!
Can you test the wow go All terrain board I just purchased one and would like to know what you think
Quick question for you. Which app do you recommend for tracking your ride and I'm using mostly Google products? Just got my wowgo 3x yesterday cause of your review and they ran a sale. Keep up the awesome reviews, thanks Talon😊🤙
Can you look into the skate bolt breeze 2? I’ve been looking at it for a lil while and wanted to know your opinion. It’s an indiegogo startup but already reached its goal and is soon to be sent out!
Hey Talon! Big fan here!
I’m doing a review for the WowGo 3X (probably world’s first one in Portuguese) and would be awesome if I could use some broll from your video when I talk about the black version, since I only have the standard onde.
May I? I’ll obviously tag you in the video and description.
Thank you in advance and keep up the amazing work!
Hence the additional torque. The only advantage of belt drive is gearing options and no hub sleeves.
Can you recommend a good alteration Ebord? One that can go on street and trails? That is cheaper than the One Wheel?
You should take that apart real quick because I took my Wowgo 3 apart and there was a pretty scrony battery in it. What about for the 3x?
Hi, I have a question maintenance wise. Which type of board requires more maintenance? the one with the belt or the other one? Thanks!!
Can you please compare Backfire G3 plus vs Wowgo 3X
Super review Talon, I have one question that I would love answered. Please describe the difference in comfort between these boards regarding real full wheels on the X compared to sleeves on the 3? So many people say it makes a huge difference in comfort and grip. Would so much like to hear your opinion. I am amazed that the X was more powerful even with the belt drive the original Wowgo 3 which got such great results for torque in many tests. Best regards Jonas
The difference on paper sounds like it would be huge but to me it isn't. They are both extremely smooth and with 3x with the stiffer deck but belt driven makes it feel similar to the 3 with hubs and a flexier deck.
@@TalonSei Huge thanks for your answer, I think the Wowgo 3 seems like a great board and overall there has been so many opinions about real full wheels of belt drives being extremely superior. //Jonas
One difference between belt and hub motors that i never hear. The hub motors that i had (2 sets) both broke. I think if you arent riding on perfect streets, all the impacts from the cracks translate directly to the motor while belt drive has near total shock absorption thru the belts. I really wanna try the new direct drive motors
I've abused my 2s for over a year and the hub motors are okay but I'm getting annoyed by the crappy ride quality. How much better does a belt drive ride over cracks and imperfections?
OK! OK! I clicked subscribe!
Are you going to get the Backfire G3 Plus? It looks like the fastest hub motor board ever.
19:32 That`s what i do for like every purchase more than hundred bucks, lol.
p.s. actually did click that button.
Being able to use longboard wheels on the front and back is the benefit of belt drive
Gotta do the meepo classic 2 vs wowgo 3x
You should do Skatebolt Breeze II. Just for the heck out of it.
Does anyone know if I should pick the Wowgo 3x or the Meepo Awd Pro
I need a fast board that is also good on bad roads?
Can you do a review on the vestar city suv?
Wowgo 3x or Meepo NLS Pro?? Which one should I get?!?!?!?
Love the vids, but it isn’t direct drive it’s geared. Hub motors are direct 1:1 drive.
hows the wowgo 3 vs other brands ? meepo nls pro, exway x1 flex, ownboard w2
Hey bro so what’s the best electric skateboard ?
This board is only going for 600 now I’m thinking I might go with this board!
How long did it take for the wowgo3x for come
I NEED WOWGO 3X VS BOOSTED!!!!
I grabbed the wowgo 3 for $474. It's a steal at that price
Regarding the comments around 17.20..Well they will of course look and be very similar unless you start looking deeper as they all have a deck and four wheels. Love these vids but would be even better if they could include some deeper info regarding the electrical drivtrain components used further to the spreadsheet data that is; possibly such as are they designed in-house or by another manufactrer such as hobby king, etc. and maybe any advancments/tweaks each new generation. For example I have found from comments sections that the backfire g2s/t has a much better esc pcb design that the original backfire g2 and that meant much less in the way of issues people were experiencing with damaged esc's. This would of course involve more input from the manufacturer but if it helps to build trust in a brand and means customers know the manufacturer are listening problems encountered and improving on them then that can't be a bad thing!
Does the wowgo 3x have regenerative breaks?
For $150 more, and that noise and without out any big difference in speed and climbing ability I'd definetly rather have the hub motors.
For the KT deck I'd maybe have the belt motors just for the better shock absorbing wheels..
I still don't understand why Hobbywing ESC don't have smart turn on features
does anyone know if there are any aftermarket remotes that are compatible with the 3x?
Was that wowgo hub a 6ah or 8ah version
But can you use the belt one like a normal board? 🤔
Finki there’s more resistance when you kick push but if you take off the belts it should be easier to push
One year later this is still a great review and it’s helping me decide between these two models… just wonder in terms of comfort over the terrain which of these felt more comfortable to ride?
Is the 3’s rear hub wheels soft enough to absorb bumps etc in comparison to the 3x?
how does it compare to the nls pro?
14:29 what app ? Please
i like Dave's opinion im not rolling in dough
Think you should use a camera with stabilizer for videos where someone is following you
Can you ride this like a normal longboard when the batterie runs out??
Kinda, but not really. Belt deriven boards really suck at riding with no power.
Boards with hub motors are a million times better at riding without power.
Is the NLS pro better than these?
