Good video a couple of things that stick out 👉 wowgo 3, Wowgo 3x And Exway X1 Pro Riot seem to be the best bang for the buck 👉 You really can’t go wrong with either. 👉 Exway is a tad bit more expensive but you get customizable experience through app 👉 I agree I prefer more torque than high speed. I am a heavier rider and that torque makes a world of difference 👉 the torque on both boards is real solid it’s a big difference between this two boards and my other boards 👉 about to hit 200 miles on miles on my Exway 📽 coming soon. Well theres yet another hilarious DK video that goes over THAT. and it's a two parter. And in part two he goes "Wowgo wowgo wowgo exway exway exway wowgo exway exway exway wowgo wowgo exway wowgo exway wowgo." So I got the wowgo 3x. It's my second electric skateboard my first was the Lou Board 3.0, that was a nightmare and a mistake board haha I ended up sending it back for a half refund. I dont recomend it. Hopefully this one will be better. I almost got the NLS pro and maybe I still will in the summer just to have two whole boards. I do wonder what Daniel Kwan would say about the nls pro. It looks impressive but theres not many reviews on the meepo NLS pro D.K. only reviewed the non-pro nls so maybe the pro is just a bit better? Idk it seems awesome to me. The 100mm wheels are huge for covering the hub motors. It looks pretty good in that Fabian video where he rides the nls pro with an Evolve.
Im 80kg and got a 30km conserved (20kmh avg speed) ride in yesterday on my 3X. Wasn't fun as smashing it at max on my regular ride, but was super impressed i managed to get the range.

@@fillstone9313 timing wise, I ordered 2 at the same time to Australia and they came really quickly (within 2 weeks in early December). Unfortunately in early January, one of the BMS circuits in one of the batteries died, and since they've been back from the luna holidays it's been taking them a while to resolve the fault.

I like Boosted Mini X but dang, it expensive, even more so when considering accessories, parts for maintenance and such like light beam that goes for $200, 105mm wheels, bags. Great review as usual. Thanks for mentioning water resistance as both my Esk8s now have a fried vesc from just random puddles. From now on I'm adding my own extra waterproofing with plastic safe silicone additional to whatever is stock. Luckily my new Meepo AWD pro is being delivered today.....
People do yourselves a favor and avoid the wowgo company all together. They downgraded their batteries and now my 3x gets horrible range. I used to like wowgo but once your short warranty expires, the customer service stops as well.
Excellent video and summary! I was just about to pony up for a 3X when an almost brand new very shiny BBV2+ came to me for $400 and I just couldn't pass it up. However, if Wowgo adds any way to get riding "without bending down to press buttons", like you asked ... I just may have buy one anyway.
Hey Daniel, it'd be great if you could respond to this question and I'm sorry it has nothing to do with the video but, how do you know if your exway x1 pro riot board is updated to the latest firmware? It says I have to update to the latest firmware even though I have multiple times with it saying "Update successful". But it keeps asking if I want to update. I just got this board a few days ago, and i am very impressed! Last board i had was the boosted board stealth. This is very similar, would almost say this one is even better so far! The reason i sold my boosted was because i think it was to expensive for an electric skateboard!

I just don't understand how you could have got 29 kilometers range on one ride ? The max range for Wowgo 3X is claimed to be 22,5 kilometers by the constructor.
Agree with everything but the enclosures of the Boosted boards are still much more attractive and professional looking. Also 600 W per motor sounds a bit on the weak side but trust your opinion that is strong enough.

Never got a meepo v3 for review? Feel like it's such a good board and very competitive with boards in the wowgo segment.. BUT I've never ridden a wowgo.. thoughts?
I believe that Meepo's been going to more compliant reviewers since the mixed reception on the v2. Riding 3rd gen WowGos feels like an actual carving longboard while Meepo's 3rd gen feels quite stiff and cumbersome for not much more stability.

I do love the torque and hard breaking you get from belt driven motors, but having to change broken belts every other month (sometimes multiple times per month) is just not worth it. Having one of your belts pop out mid ride is the worst! You gotta either carry or push it the rest of the way. I'm also a high-speed freak so I will take higher top speed over torque any day on my mostly flat commute into work. I just get to work faster with it. So I am going to have to stick with hub motor boards. I currently have 3 e-boards, 2 hub and 1 belt (boosted), and I just can't get over how much I love the hub motors better. Yes they have less torque and worse breaking, but I also don't have to listen to an intense grinding sound all day while riding. Hubs are just so smooth and noiseless. Get me this board with hub motors and I am sold.

Nicholas Lee definitely doesn’t compare to boosted. I’ve owned a wowgo and boosted and boosted sends me free replacements within days. Took weeks of hounding wowgo to get a replacement motor. Both are great boards but CS is definitely no competition and one of the main things you pay for with a boosted.
Daniel! Love you brother!!! Please help me choose between the WOWGO 3x, Ownboard AT with Cloudwheels, or the Exway x1 RIOT. I would prefer carving and torque over top speed. I think the cloudwheels would be nice for me because I like to do some minor dirt trail riding. differences from what i can tell: RIOT has the nicest features and longer range but you cant swap the battery out or carve as well because of the stiffer deck, but better topspeed, fast charging, difficult to plug in, good braking/reverse Ownboard AT cloudwheels- is great but doesn't have good braking/reverse. best looks and best comfort deck And the WOWGO 3x is great but doesn't have good range but you can get an extra battery on it So what's your best recommendation for my first setup? For example Wowgo 3x with extra battery and kegal orangatang wheels What are you riding most often? Thanks for reading!!
All three are good for carving and have good torque. WowGo 3X should have more range than Exway Riot. You can’t use Kegels on WowGo unless you get pulleys from elsewhere. Range - Ownboard Convenience - Exway Swappable battery - WowGo etc.
If the battery was 259Wh it's now changed. I've just checked out a spare battery for my 3X and it's capacity has dropped to 216Wh. Seems WowGo have gone from using 3000mAh cells to instead using 2500mAh cells so the range will obviously be lower.

The problem you mentioned in the description sounds extremely similar to what just happened to me on my second ride on my new backfire g3. I just sent the battery in today. Was that the other brand that you had the problem with? Very curious because they had me send the battery but I was worried it was something with the ESC.
Yes it happened on the G3 as well. Thanks for letting me know, I should add that tip to the G3 video also then. I haven’t had that problem again but I also don’t normally ride until empty or near empty battery.
Well I didnt mean to complete my purchase on one of these but I did on accident, I was debating this or nls pro or g3 so I hope I made the right choice. I wanted to wait for the exway flex but got inpatient!
How often are brands releasing new models? Waiting for the right time to buy my first board, and kind of wanna see what kind of improvements these midrange brands make on their next iterations before buying. Id buy an X1 Riot right now if the range was better. This wowgo3x is probably my top pick right now tho, if i cant wait any longer.
I’m happy with it except when I get into a tuck position. Then my view of the front is partially blocked. But I’m reluctant to get a downhill helmet because it would block hearing and get hot in warmer weather. 😕
Deal breaker for me its the battery. You can not get the Samsung 504Wh battery with the board. With my riding style normal battery is empty in 40-50 minutes which is way too fast. I consume about 11Wh per km and i ride 28-35 km/h.
I put "yes and no" in the poll because I have a meepo 1.5 but I haven't used it in about half a year. It broke for like the third time and I can't be bothered to keep spending money to fix it.

3 uses hub motors, 3X uses belt drive motors. Improved parts in the new WowGo Knight leads me to believe that the 3/3X lineup should be updated soon. No idea when tho.
Mr Kwan I for one love your videos but to make such a bold claim I didn’t see a side by side comparison like you used to do but you did compare components and look which I find cool but what about the good ol days when you would race them?
Don’t have any new Boosteds to compare with unfortunately. My friends’ Boosteds are like 2+ years old now. And still nobody here has a Stealth. Anyway the video title was thought up last minute and wasn’t really the message of the video, so I’ll probably change it later.

I replaced my boosted board stealth recently. My new one is cheaper and preforms better. Still think I prefer the stealth tbh, just feels better lol

How are brakes with fully charged batteries? Is ESC made for dispacing energy, so my bord will be reliable on longer downhill trips?

I would not describe the difference in brake performance as "big". WowGo 3 has pretty good brakes also.

It’s a good board no doubt. What about the customer service? I’ve heard and read that they are the worst in terms of customer service in the market.
Nicholas Lee definitely doesn’t compare to boosted. I’ve owned a wowgo and boosted and boosted sends me free replacements within days. Took weeks of hounding wowgo to get a replacement motor. Both are great boards but CS is definitely no competition and one of the main things you pay for with a boosted.
I've tried boosted costumer service.. Wasn't there. So if youre good with tech and tools then just pick the wowgo 3x

Please help me choose between the WOWGO 3x, Ownboard AT with Cloudwheels, or the Exway x1 RIOT.
I would prefer carving and torque over top speed.
I think the cloudwheels would be nice for me because I like to do some minor dirt trail riding.
differences from what i can tell:
RIOT has the nicest features and longer range but you cant swap the battery out or carve as well because of the stiffer deck, but better topspeed, fast charging, difficult to plug in, good braking/reverse
Ownboard AT cloudwheels- is great but doesn't have good braking/reverse. best looks and best comfort deck
And the WOWGO 3x is great but doesn't have good range but you can get an extra battery on it
So what's your best recommendation for my first setup?
For example Wowgo 3x with extra battery and kegal orangatang wheels

All three are good for carving and have good torque.
WowGo 3X should have more range than Exway Riot. You can’t use Kegels on WowGo unless you get pulleys from elsewhere.
Range - Ownboard
Convenience - Exway
Swappable battery - WowGo
etc.
If the battery was 259Wh it's now changed. I've just checked out a spare battery for my 3X and it's capacity has dropped to 216Wh. Seems WowGo have gone from using 3000mAh cells to instead using 2500mAh cells so the range will obviously be lower.

The problem you mentioned in the description sounds extremely similar to what just happened to me on my second ride on my new backfire g3. I just sent the battery in today. Was that the other brand that you had the problem with? Very curious because they had me send the battery but I was worried it was something with the ESC.

Yes it happened on the G3 as well. Thanks for letting me know, I should add that tip to the G3 video also then. I haven’t had that problem again but I also don’t normally ride until empty or near empty battery.

Well I didnt mean to complete my purchase on one of these but I did on accident, I was debating this or nls pro or g3 so I hope I made the right choice. I wanted to wait for the exway flex but got inpatient!

I’m happy with it except when I get into a tuck position. Then my view of the front is partially blocked. But I’m reluctant to get a downhill helmet because it would block hearing and get hot in warmer weather. 😕

NLS Pro accelerates noticeably harder than the wowgo actually, but the esc and weight may turn u off

Deal breaker for me its the battery. You can not get the Samsung 504Wh battery with the board. With my riding style normal battery is empty in 40-50 minutes which is way too fast. I consume about 11Wh per km and i ride 28-35 km/h.
Should i get the Exway X1 or the Ownboard w1s?

Bamboo GT would handle bumpy roads better but you sacrifice portability

3 uses hub motors, 3X uses belt drive motors. Improved parts in the new WowGo Knight leads me to believe that the 3/3X lineup should be updated soon. No idea when tho.

I for one love your videos but to make such a bold claim I didn’t see a side by side comparison like you used to do but you did compare components and look which I find cool but what about the good ol days when you would race them?
Don’t have any new Boosteds to compare with unfortunately. My friends’ Boosteds are like 2+ years old now. And still nobody here has a Stealth. Anyway the video title was thought up last minute and wasn’t really the message of the video, so I’ll probably change it later.
You shouldn’t you know better and wowgo has come along way and who would know better other than you, you have rode almost everything and to be honest I just wanted to see a race😅

Do you know if you have multiple boards you can swap your pulleys off of another board and then put them on a different board! so you can have keigels on your wowgo
Not always. Exway and Ownboard W2 and WowGo 3X pulleys are not interchangeable for example.
The gear ratio will work you just have to get a different size belt

I haven’t needed to adjust the belt tension on this board but it looks like most belt drive boards (adjust position of motors for tensioning)
