@@JAKE-ng8yr It's ofc gonna be better after 3 years but its actually not bad today. Stellaris is good in 2017 but Stellaris improve himself that to much even stellaris diplomacy better than eu4 one clearly. You doesnt need to play without mod either, paradox mods is a god tier mods.

@@JAKE-ng8yr Personally, I’m ready to change my downvote on Steam to an upvote. I’m wrapping up my second play through in the past week and its been a lot of fun. Sure, there is a lot more that needs to be added to really make it shine but its come a long way in the past couple months. I agree on the mixed reviews on Steam, but it seems like a lot of people may still have a chip on their shoulder (and rightfully so). I never really played Vic2 and the only other Paradox game I’ve dumped a lot of time into is EU4, so I suppose I’m not as jaded as most of the fan base.
The "democracy" palpatine delivery was so unexpected.

@@SMGJohn Most of the criticisms I've seen regarding Victoria 3 have been either too much micromanaging of the economy and politics or not enough micromanaging of warfare. Usually from the same people. Really it just sounds like they want Victorian-era HoI4. What's left to criticize (lack of flavor, passive AI, bugginess), I don't think is enough to make it a bad game.
I just hope when Australia,Canada, New Zealand, and any other British colony becomes a dominion that they actually have the British monarch as sovereign . It doesn’t make sense to me they keep becoming republics when they federate
And they actually get parliamentary government. I'm so tired of uniting Canada and ruling as their president
As a Canadian, Canada’s literally unplayable until they fix this.
I think the whole Head of Government vs. Head of State thing should get clarified mechanically.

Changes look very constructive; the challenge that you’re facing here is that many of these changes (and recent patches) should have been included at launch and hence, a lot of the potential new customers are a bit reluctant to buy at this time, but these changes are indeed good and the game has vastly improved.
It's a paradox game, it happens with every game. It is always better to buy a year after release to see if the development is going in a positive direction
@@TheAdmiraltoby Why wait? it always does, they make great products and I'd rather support Paradox than any other AAA studios, Bethesda and Paradox are the last bastion of AAA games, anything else is pure manure.

The removal of Switzerland is the part of the patch I'm the most excited about

This game is really good but unfortunately released way too early. Feel bad for the devs being forced to pump out these shells under time constraint. They deserve more time to make the game like this before it releases. Imagine Imperator Rome still alive after all this time. Whenever I play it, I love it and I curse whoever at paradox decided to release it before it was ready, then abandon it just when it was getting fixed.
I really hope you fix performance issues in the late game. It grinds to a halt everytime the camera is above Europe.
The last patch seems to have improved performance a bit in the late game. Still not great but better. I think they still got room for optimization.

All of this hits differently when you see they used your home country (Venezuela) to illustrate most of the new features as you ride in a train in Switzerland (culturally removed from the game, wonder what they would think)
Yes, Venezuela used as the country to show some of the things also caught me off guard, how rare we get picked!
Please add the possibility to unite Europe in vanilla vic 3, some thinkers of this period were in favor of it (like Victor Hugo).
There's an easy mod for that which dont break savegames or is achievement incompatible, so no reason to not get it

Indeed, and then we can get stomped by the industrialised powers around us. That's the problem with anarchy etc... they only work when everyone else is the same.
The industrial revolution and its consequences would have been a disaster for the human race, thank god we avoided it

Looks good as of now, I just hope that you added some new focuses for Russia, btw. what about the "Barbary's Back" Achievement?
They will touch Russia and other countries in the future. They announced country or region specific content for dlc's. So for unique content for Russia you should have to wait until their DLC, which may take a while.
i like these little additions but this game needs missions like in eu4 or alternative gameplay styles like in hoi4, most countries feel just the same
missions don't fit at all with Vic3, more like Hoi4 style if they add that
I agree, something to guide nations because half of the time they don’t do the historical path and kinda sour the game. I’ve had games where the North German Federation only owns about half of German states and the Franco-Prussian war doesn’t happen

What about the extremely tedious building menu and the lack of a decent economy overview? In late-game I completely lose track on the necessities, strength and weakness of my economy. The gameplay basically turns into a continuous hell of pointing and clicking as well as opening and closing windows, checking every single province over and over again. Allow the player to see what's actually going on in his country in an uncomplicated, clear manner.
this dlc is good and it isnt taking forever to be made there is no need for further complaints as this is already more than can be said for other paradox games

I love how the game is still being negatively reviewed even to this day, Parafail really blew this one.
First impressions actually do mean something. PDS really needs closed/open betas to map out features that the players want BEFORE release, not five years after it comes out.
I am looking at you, CK3 and HOI4.
Will there be a future update that includes laws affecting the military in more detail, like for example allow women to serve as soldiers and officers?
they said something along the lines that they want to get more into details with laws eventually, as currently there's just 3-5 per law and nothing more complex

@@ellidominusser1138 I cant contain my excitment. Why dont we have a upcimng vote with parties and or population voting on teh law based on politcial system and we have multiple tools and long term planning to do to shape the socitiy to get a law passed?
My favourite moment in history was when Abraham Lincoln in 1865 came to congress and rolled 6 thus abolishing slavery. Truly one of the moments of all time

Please give us a technology to allow us to attach more than 100k to a General. It is so ridicolous in the lategame when you have like 20 Generals and want to assign them to their respective Frontlines.

One big change I would love to see would be more historically accurate political leaders. Like it would be nice to not have Abraham Lincoln retire from politics before 1860 or have Bismarck die or retire before 1870...I like randomness, but not so much that there's little chance to see certain key historical figures be able to get played out.
Politicians should be required to play this game and "win" before assuming their positions.
Please add any control over your puppets. This is the single most important thing right now besides the war system

This game is on its way to becoming a true gem. I was a huuge Vicky 2 player and V3 is perhaps the most beautiful looking game out there. I'm so glad you are adding new content. Please do not let this go the way of Imperator Rome

Please level US events. Manifest destiny type events should also be available for Mexico and Canada. i.e. why couldn’t Mexico arrange the Oregon or the Alaska purchase, why couldn’t Canada? You’re just railroading US dominance in the region

I would like to see better names for states in Polish region, because Greater Poland and Lesser Poland are not in the places they should be... Well I can understand why Lesser Poland isn't in the right place (because of a historical context), but can't you change the name to something else? And the state of Posen? You guys don't need to go deep in historical details to see why it doesn't make sense. New names don't need to be based on historical data in 100%, but only to be accurate. Please, consider my comment. You know... listen to the voice of the people... (or rather of a single guy)

Yeah no. Victoria 3s fundamentals are way too shit for any patch or DLC to help it. It's like trying to polish a turd. You can polish it as much as you want but at the end of the day, it's still a turd.
