and so it begins..... the flood of dlcs.....
And the game is not even out of alpha smh.
@Bonka Entitled child
i mean you get the main mechanic for free, so I don't really mind that much
@@eliwynne4348the agitator stuff is free? That’s cool
People pay 15 euro for a drink at a night out at some ran down club without batting an eye, yet it's too much to support a game you like which will give you hours of content + a free update. Are you aware that game devs make less money and have to work more than many other engineers? Are you aware that you don't have to buy the dlc and that you get a free update?
I’m getting this free since I have the season pass but charging people 14.99 is a bold move for a immersion pack
My thoughts exactly
True. This sorta stuff being DLC content is as bad as EU4 originally having developement being paid content. Not that the content itself is bad, this is the kind of stuff the game desperately needs, but it feels as cheap as Sims 4 when such basic content is paid DLC.
@Renan_PS Not only this, but also the fact that it's much, much, much more convinient for business to get more or less stable income from subscriptions rather than occasional DLC influxes of cash or - already dead method - huge addons once per 2-3 years. This, however, goes against human psyche; humans tend to choose owning over renting even if owning is much less economical.
@@skeptic781 rangers fan🤢🤢🤢
"""FREE"""
Ah, now I see why there was no immersion in the base game. After 200+ DLCs, each country will finally feel unique.
200? That's a rookie number. Including all possible formable non-historic nations, the sky is the limit for PDX.
What a surprise 😮
you literally can't launch a grand strategy game like these in a state it would be in after years of post launch development. it requires a lot of feedback and research and seeing the systems work in real time. they would spend like several more years in development and release an even buggier and less balanced experience
@@Riotdrone Sure, I get that. But the immersion pack covers a single country. It seems like PDX decided to generically apply events to all countries, with very insignificant flavor differences, as a way to milk the cash cow by selling immersion pack DLCs.
I am excited to try this out, as I bought the Grand Edition or whatever its called so I'll get this one for free. But if they are going to release this one country at a time for $15 USD each, that's just insane.
@@Riotdrone Whatever you say shill. Maybe if paradox wasn't completely incompetent, they could develop a good game for the first time in almost 10 years.

Because ck2 had like 10 of those
And then other 10 similar but for the appearence of a characters face

I like both actually
Glad to see we're finally getting some flavour in the game after half a year. At this rate we'll have every major get content by 2030!!!
just like eu4
Yeah… That’s while I’ll play EU 4 for now. :D
Is this not what you expected?
Yes, that's how paradox wprks
If you are particularly interested in a place you can pay for a dlc to expand it
damn we need some competition for paradox

Iron sharpens iron. Commotion is never a bad thing.
I was literally just thinking about how democracy needed an update in this game, I’ve finished up my US game and for the last 60 years one agrarian guy who had their own political party have been president for basically the entire thing.

Unter des deutschen Limits?

Good to see the Paris Commune finally getting some love! It was sadly absent from Vicky2

From 1913 to 1918, the CUP ruled the empire as an authoritarian one-party state and committed genocides against the Armenian, Greek, and Assyrian peoples as part of a broader policy of ethnic erasure during the late Ottoman period.

So does that mean that people who were stupid enough to purchase the grand edition finally get some content
Did I just see… Bonaparte 👀
This DLC doesn't represent the voice of your players PARADOX!
Wow that is the comment of the year. Made my day.
Omfg so this is why the Base Game felt so bland, we have to pay for this DLC to experience these historical moments. My guy there's Victoria 2 with HPM Mod and that's free ( the mod not the game )
yes, in a game that's 10+ years old, requires DLC to be any fun, and is infinitely less deep in its main feature
There will also be Vic 3 mods that will fix this, I'm sure. It's not hsrd to mod that
@@eliwynne4348 ohhh no god forbid you buy the dlc for *checks notes* £2 during a sale, but you can afford to pay *checks notes* £15 for far far less content? Cool.

make the basegame actually fun to play first, thanks
It is incredibly fun! It s been since 1.0
Yeah for 50 years ingame, the 50 later was long, in the last my pc need 3 minutes per month in extra speed
@@franckvicente1533 the latest update made the game much smoother. I can now finish the game without much stress
@@Ryder2010G6 its fun! for like 2 campaigns
@@Ryder2010G6 I bought the game on release and I have 145 hours. It's bland, tedious, over-reliant on RNG, and unresponsive. Haven't played it in months. 145 hours is indeed quite a bit, but in comparison to the other Paradox games I own it's miniscule. It is a puddle compared to the lake of CK3 and the ocean of HOI4.
I would love a "The Path of Iron & Steam" DLC, where there are improvements to diplomacy, warfare and the effects of polution and more (not too game effecting tho)
I feel like having a better War Machanic would make the game 100x better
Still a fan tho!
I'll get the 3 pre-order characters if I bought the special edition of the base game, right?
yes
Could the last 3 people in the trailer be Louise Michel (most definetly) Bakunin (maybe, he was in the commune of Lyon) and Eugene Varlin (doubtful, but was in the commune of Paris)?
in the next dlc you should add a good game
0:30 "Under Atari" is a term for the boardgame Go that describes a group of stones almost completely surrounded and only one move away from being captured. That is a flavorful way of describing the situation. Though the choice of using the Japanese version of the term irks me a little. Maybe it's just the more common expression in English.
0:48 ah yes, Vive la France.
If only my country and government was still thinking that.
Finally, now I can revive the French empire
i hope that if we play other nations france will not dominate anymore. every game i played they just dominated.
@@fabiandonvil Found that to be less of a problem with new patches. I don’t think anyone is that overpowered currently
The DLC seems fun, but only if you made playing as a monarchy or an authoritarian state rewarding in other ways than just authority mana
The thing is, it shouldn't be.
@@fanisalefragis313 Why?
@@fanisalefragis313 It should be hard to maintain an authoritarian government, but it indeed should be just as rewarding, too. Now, there is literally no point in trying to maintain the monarchy.
Okay this looks really awesome! Good work from the devs, it takes time to make fantastic games. But the music in this trailer oh my I love it!
Looks awesome, it's a shame it's not a free update since the lack of immersion IS the biggest flaw in Victoria 3
@@billypilgrim1 Agreed. I haven't gotten the game yet I'm just waiting for more content, but the game definitely needs alot more immersion.

Damn, man, this price is against voice of people. Gonna pirate, not gonna lie.
Is there any point in this though since the entire game takes place in menus and lists 🤔
So is this just a french flavour pack or does it include new systems/ mechanics for other countries aswell?
I think the agitator mechanics are for all nations
@@Hacker_Kamyko and for free
@@eliwynne4348 However without the immersion pack, the mechanic itself would be pretty much usable only with mods. It's free just so the future DLC could easily add onto this mechanic.

Do we also will get these 3 people that are for buying pre-release of this immersion pack or we don't?
yes you will, they said on a Dev Diary
@@eliwynne4348 thank you, random citizen!
I really despise pre-order exclusive content. Like what if you miss it cuz of personal issues? Now you're unable to ever have those 3 characters in your game. It's not game breaking but it's pretty annoying not being able to have the entire game.
