Give yourself a big pat on the back Warren for such wise deductive reasoning that solved a problem with minimum cost to the client. Get R Done!! And up yours Reman!!
I love how you troubleshoot, you really have the ability to trace and know how it all work's. I hope everything turns out okay for you, and the fella with the junk engine. The shop should pay for the work you have already done, because time is money on these job's. God bless.
Wow! Excellent troubleshooting Warren! It’s so cool that you are able to ignore what the repair procedure is telling you and follow your common sense and experience to solve the issue. Outstanding!
The last ship I was on had a crosshead pin [same as gudgeon pin] weighed three ton, lost the microfine finish. Another had to be flown half around the world. That caused some apprehension too. Knew you would come out of your problem smelling like roses. Good luck Pal.
Great video Warren good to see with the right troubleshooting you figured it out on the John deer. It will be interesting to see how things work out with the Paccar engine stay safe.
Great catch Warren. I’m sure everyone in your area has figured out, if nobody else can fix it, send it to Warren. Nice having the Factory Service Manuals too. Thanks for sharing your time and videos. Always a treat.
Warren is one man against all the odds. Good troubleshooting and unbelievable patience to find the problem. Love your attitude as I don't see it much anywhere, you are a rare one today.
Man oh wow golly gee there. I stumbled upon your channel have no hydraulic lift on Deere 301. Your trouble shooting skills are amazing dude. Love your recall memory Love to see men being men.
Warren growing up in the 60’s it was common in our neighborhood somebody swap 327 or build a rod or make a doodle bug, we had auto shop class and 2 certified gm mechanics in the street doing repair in garage. Pass it on to a young man we still need grease monkeys
Hi Warren , thanks for the update on the Pacar , I know one thing , if you pull it out and rebuild it , it’ll run for a million miles with zero issues ! Because YOU do it RIGHT !
I wouldnt put money on that. Paccar Motors are not too great to start with. Used to be Cat, Cummins, Detroit would make that mileage. Now with Dpfs. Def, etc. Hard to make it past 500 thou. without something going fowl.
The poor owner of the Peterbilt. The good news "might get warranted" The bad news "got nothing to warranty it with". Geeeezzzzz - no winners in this game!
happy days the shop has owned up on the engine fault. Charging a customer for your knowledge is worth every dollar on your invoices. Best of luck Warren.
I really enjoy your troubleshooting. Its 100% real. Not all edited up. You admit a mistake, and acknowledge when you screwed something up or thought wrong. Your talking out loud has tought me alot, provided I can follow your brain.
You are so right. Sometimes it pays to check things out before you invest a lot of time, money, and effort to tear everything apart. Keep up the great work!
Great Diagnosis Warren. Saved the Customer alot of money. It cost you some. But I imagine your not too disappointed not having to split the tractor in half. Its nice getting an easy one every once in a While I bet..Great Job and Video Warren. As always Sir...
This post demonstrates the training and full competence of a technician. In fact, the mis installed tube can be the fault by split failure. (My reasoned guess early in the troubleshoot tree). *via....A cascade of oil causing low *or absent* pressure delivery to the system. And, the finding at charge pressure (absent) the story of failed oil pressure to the larger system. But to inspection and repair without the labor to split the unit....remarkable and huge to fitment. Just so well done. A return of the machine to working operation. The owner of this unit will enjoy the power and useful life as exists to the design. *rugged and reliable. Absolute craftsmanship in action made that possible. Thanks for sharing the work process. And I don't forget you are brave and share the occasional failure. But this win was huge. That by lessened cost to the owner *operator. M.
Yes they have been good tractors. A tank of fuel lasts about 8 hrs working hard. Tractor data would have the fuel tank capacity to work out the gal per hour.
I had a similar problem on a 410 C backhoe, when I split the transmission case I found a little aluminum slug. Some one had put too many shims in one of the valves in the valve block and punched a hole through.
I have bought extra parts for my pickup and tires I don't even need yet just so I know I have them, there is not much coming out of china anymore and there are many ships waiting for a long time to be unloaded. I am concerned where this is all going to wind up. Good job on the Deere
5/4/22...JD 2950 hydraulic flow problem: kinda intricate 'wiggling' formed tube back into its proper location thus completing flow circuit...now all 🐙 'octopus' related functions: (PTO, 4WD & other) returns to normal. Great testing (with some of yur home made gage adapters) & giagnosing using that fancy JD trouble shooting software. Always enjoy watching you methodically go thru disassembling components⚙ while simultaneously holding yur camera in one hand 🙋♂️ & wrenching 🔧with other hand ✋! Great attitude toward this kind of indepth work & teaching viewers (mechanics & owners) "how-to" get results. A+ on many levels Warren! Now.. Pacar engine ... what the 'xyz' do you - the dealer/supplier- mean 'their are no engines available'!!?? Are they comming from China?...kinda stuck in 'traffic' at Port of LA & LongBeach? ...blocked by Russia in Sea of Odessa preventing Polish made machine equipment from shipping 🚢 exports to port of LA or LongBeach or up in Washington...? Give us loyal viewers more of yur 'inside-the-beltway' info from your 'deep-throat' sources who can/will expose truth...about why we have no 'GrayPupon' mustard 💜 or replacement Pacar Engines! 🤔
Hi Warren, Love your repair videos. I had a John 3040 with the very same problem one time and after trying everything we finaly found the same pipe out of place and our tractor never had been split. You know your stuff😃
Those were the best years for JD tractors, I have a 2355.
Good work warren 👍👍🇬🇧

You are a master at your craft sir. It is indeed nice talking to a service manager with 2 brain cells.
Jeepers America, no parts is unbelievable with the amount of vehicles / heavy equipment that is on the road.
Wow! Excellent troubleshooting Warren! It’s so cool that you are able to ignore what the repair procedure is telling you and follow your common sense and experience to solve the issue. Outstanding!

That was a great video I learned alot. Thanks for your expertise.
I'm glad your dealer is working with you. Mr Paydirt did a deal with oem Cummings parts being out of tolerance . It was a oil pump.
Great fix; glad that piston pump survived too.

Great job tracking that down Warren!!!!!
That's one lucky client Warren. Not only that he has you as a mechanic but this could have ended with a tractor split. Great job on the diagnose.
I really enjoy your troubleshooting. Its 100% real. Not all edited up. You admit a mistake, and acknowledge when you screwed something up or thought wrong. Your talking out loud has tought me alot, provided I can follow your brain.

Great video
Thanks for a very good hydraulic diagnostic lesson Warren. We have two of these tractors over 10000 hrs, this lesson may come in handy one day.
Are they reliable ? What about fuel consumption ?
Yes they have been good tractors. A tank of fuel lasts about 8 hrs working hard. Tractor data would have the fuel tank capacity to work out the gal per hour.
Thanks For Sharing your knouledge

Ah yes. The old 2650 no hydraulics...love it
great video.......
Cummins or Cat swap would be a great solution
Won't be a Caterpillar swap. Can't pass California's emissions laws. Cummins or Detroit. 🤔
Amazing!! I know what it is like to be the clean up man!
Got er done!
lOVE IT!
