With how romanticized Darth Vader has become in pop culture, we needed scenes like this to remind ourselves he was a monster.
TheAwesomeDarkNinja -- He wasn't a ' Monster ' ... He was the child of prophecy ... The one who would restore ' Balance ' to the Force ... What is Balance ? The Jedi set up a Training Facility and created Thousands upon Thousands of Jedi Knights ... There is only ever 1 Sith Lord and 1 Sith Apprentice . 2 Sith's to Countless Jedi's is somehow a Balanced Force ? To restore Balance to the Force , the Jedi must be wiped out . Your ' Monster ' was fulfilling prophecy and he was trained to be the Jedi Knight . Anakin Skywalker did what he was born to do , He became Lord Vader ... Balance restored .
@William Waha nah dude. It's called the Tragedy of Anakin for a reason. Watching the Clone Wars hero risk his life time and time again for people he loves and people he's never met has turned into this evil husk twisted and groomed by his parental figure. I mean he literally he never stopped killing children
@@xrstevenson --- When you watch the actual Star Wars films , it is explained the way I said it was . The child of prophecy , Qui-gon Even said it to the council when he brings the little Anakin in to be evaluated .
The Clone Wars you speak of are a cartoon series , yes ? If you follow the continuity of the movies , A child born entirely of the midichlorians , trained in the ways of the force will bring balance to the force . They set Anakin Skywalker up to be that child , his own mother said ," There was no father . I can not explain it , I carried him , I birthed him and I named him all on my own ." Obi-Wan even tells Qui-gon ," Over 20,000 midichlorians , even master Yoda doesn't have a count that high ."
The sad realization is that Star Wars is the creation of George Lucas and he can screw it up anyway he wants to , why he can even sell the entire franchise to Disney . Ooops , He already did that , didn't he ?
I mean he's pretty brutal in the movies. Choking his officers, torturing Solo, killing Antilles.
I romanticize Anakin, not Vader. First one was a emotionally conflicted guy, Vader was a incarnation of evil
"He's more machine now, than man. Twisted and evil."
- Ben Kenobi.
@Audrion Irks you mean a hero. It was the Jedi that were villains
@@vedantdesai1Sure
@@vedantdesai1 How are the Jedi the villains? They're far from perfect, but compared to the Sith they're practically saints. Just look at Anakin as a Jedi vs as a Sith. As a Jedi he was a good caring person, he regularly risked his life to help others and protect people. As a Sith he murders civilians and children and is accomplice to billions of deaths.
@@vedantdesai1 I agree that killing is sometimes necessary, certainly. But it's something that should generally be avoided when possible, and killing billions absolutely makes someone evil, no circumstances in which that is correct, especially when destroying entire planets. I'd definitely say a Jedi who focuses on trying to protect innocent people is better than someone like Vader or Palpatine who slaughters them indiscriminately.
Obi Wan has ptsd

Me seeing memes about Anakin killing younglings:😂
Me seeing Vader snap some kids neck on screen: 💀
I believe this scene is also supposrd to show how dark hes become after 19 years but the main reason he did this is so he could sense obi wan through his emotions because he knew it would shock him and these emotions showed him where he was and it worked. thats what i believe.
Well, this show is actually after 10 years but you made good points.
He went to lengths to flush him out. You can tell how much he wanted to kill him

Hey what movie is this scene from
@@northere Hey, it's from the show called kenobi
No matter how good or bad a star wars product is, Darth Vader never disappoints
... and you better not disappoint him
People making pained noises is always good at getting me to feel the gravity of a scene like this. Like the neck snap was brutal but the woman being dragged on her face screaming gives me goosebumps
Scariest Vader on screen ever.
Absolutely. People can talk shit about Disney with what they’ve done with Star Wars all they want, but you can’t deny how good of a job they’ve done in showing how cruel Vader was, which we never saw before in the original trilogy
@@chefalex1753 yes. in the original trilogy he was soft because of luke. he was feeling love after many years of darkness.
@@chefalex1753 Umm, have you not watched Empire Strikes Back? Where he chokes his own people without mercy?
@@Zerath0 That was like only once compared to what happened right here
@@Zerath0 Considering we only see that once, and considering that we're not feeling any sympathy for what amount to Nazi stand-ins, this hits a LOT different than Vader in Empire, let alone in A New Hope.
The moment he snapped that kids neck. 😬😬😬
“I am NOT fucking around” - Vader
Funniest moment very Disney style 😂😂
Snap that child’s back! Gold Gungan!
“Yep that’s Hayden alright” 😭
Almost let a youngling go to waste!
Luke: i SenSE ThE GoOd iN hiM
The cOnFlict
Well, there was good in him. There has always been
Simply, it was caged by the power of the dark side
There's was good in him but he was always consumed by anger, just like he killed tuskens in AOTC.
Nigga was lucky he was his son😂
Honestly I always just saw Luke as just really naive with this to be honest. And pure luck that he was Vader’s kid that restored said conflict in Vader. If he was just sone other guy, yeah Vader wouldn’t give a fuck
I love that it's not even a "turn yourself in or these people will suffer" and then he does turn himself just before someone gets hurt,
It's Just actually people getting killed one by one no mercy even offered
All because Obi-wan is there. That's the type of propaganda the Empire used to turn everyone against them
Its sadder when you remember little boy Anakin who dreamed about him being a Jedi one day, and return to Tatoinne to free all the slaves...
That's why that TPM poster of little Anakin and his shadow being Darth Vader always sends chills down my spawn
My fear that the Kenobi show would be too kid friendly being instantly evaporated in one second
I couldn't imagine Anakin Skywalker doing this. That man would die protecting commoners. But this Dark Lord...
"Anakin is gone... I am what remains"
-Darth Vader
Anakin killed the Tuskens, even the little one. And he tortured Clovis.
@@joelejoe9883he didn’t torture him he beat him up
Anakin did murder an entire village of Tusken Raiders... and not just the men.. the but the women, and the children too.
@joelejoe9883 those Tusken Raiders kidnapped, tortured, and killed his mother they were not innocent at all
"In a galaxy at war, there's only one way to get the attention of the Jedi. *SLAUGHTER* of the innocent; mercilessly and without compromise."
When Darth Vader breathes, he’s not just signaling his presence…
……it’s a warning…
This really helps us understand why Obi-Wan believed he was irredeemable.
Anakin was really fucked in the head man. He went through all that shit but come one. Dude was a psychopath and sociopath, it was only Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Rex and Padme the ones that soothed him.
He's mentally ill. So am I. Don't discriminate us. We face battles you will never know or understand.
Anakin became incredibly evil, but he wasn't a psychopath. The whole reason he turned evil in the first place was to save someone he loved, a genuine psychopath wouldn't have cared at all, and wouldn't have saved Luke at the end.
@@garrettdarkstar2647yeah. I confirm
@@anatoldenevers237 he stopped caring and became a genuine psychopath after Padme and saving Luke.
This really sets the tone Obi-Wan hasn’t seen Anakin in the long time ! Just to see how ruthless Vader is snapping kid necks in front of their dad this is how Vader supposed to be! Just completely ruthless as the Darkside should be!!❤ ❤️
He literally saw him kill younglings why is he so shocked Anakin is a bastard? He should know he'd do something like this. Fucking stupid. It's like they forgot he's literally a child murderer and yall are suprised he snapped that kids neck? Yall are so oblivious and ignorant it's amazing you can even pay attention even a little.
"Twisted and Evil"
they should make every Darth Vader scene with horror tone...
I kinda like this interpretation of Vader. Completely ruthless and relentless very much like a Terminator. He does not kill anyone without reason unlike Sidious who would just for the fun of it, but if you give Vader ANY reason, he wont hesitate one bit. Ties up nicely with Obi wan's comment on him, he's more machine than man, and dear Obi wasnt referring to just his body parts.

Kenobi Clips: *Hello There!*
Disney messed up a lot of Star Wars. But at least they didn’t mess vader up. They do him right, every time.
Well it’s the people who were there before Disney brought the company
@@meeralrafee1875 true
@@ssjllamamusic Only hope people like Dave Filoni get more higher positions in the company. 😁
Between Rogue One, season 2 of Rebels, this series, the comics, even the cameo at the end of Clone Wars.
Yup, no complaints at all as far as Vader is concerned.
Disney didn't mess up anything, as they aren't making the content. Lucasfilm is.
Padmé in the afterlife getting turned on by this.
"Not just the men, but the women, and the children"
Padme: 🥵🥵🥵🥴🥴🥴
This scene is badass and evil at the same time.
I’m surprised Disney made sure Darth Vader wasn’t washed down and cookie cutter. He’s a monster, and you can’t half ass such portrayals, so I’ll give them points for that.
He's one of the few Star Wars characters Disney improved upon and made even more cool, not to mention how he's essentially a slasher villain in the Star Wars universe with hints of the Terminator and maybe even Robocop due to the latter losing his humanity from live threatening injuries and becoming a cyborg to serve a corrupt and evil government, while still holding love for a family he either tries to remember or tries to forget.
Showing Vader’s cruel actions with such unfiltered brutality makes his difficult redemption and return to the light hit that much harder. You get a sense for how ensnared by the dark side he truly was.
This is my favorite adaptation of Vader don’t care what people say
Dad I’ll save you
Darth Vader: NAWWW 0:49
I like to believe that vader knew obi wan was there the whole time, just watching and doing nothing.
Of course he did. Which is why he did what he did..
He was testing Kenobi. Normally, a true Jedi would never stand by and let innocents die. But here at this point, Kenobi was broken and his connection to the Force was still rather diminished compared to a decade ago. It was a sign that he wasn't the Jedi he used to be. That's how Vader figured out that Kenobi had become weak over the years.
We.need.a. Darth.Vader.Movie
"Need" potentially one after his face off with obi Wan and him being absolutely ruthless. Could you imagine seeing "Vader" as a title in theaters? Chills
Whilist I find it funny that this is said considering the first six movies of the trilogy was basically kinda dedicated to him, I wouldn’t be against the idea of them adapting his comics on screen.
People said this show was bad but seeing these clips I should probably give it a chance
The show was not bad, it was just not what most people expected story wise. Like the trailer felt like it would have more interesting plot with things like seeing more of Liam Neeson and action sequences that is equal to or better than Revenge of the Sith. There is also the side plot with the third sister which seems not well thought out and most of the music were not inspiring probably because they were not composed by John Williams. But all in all it was a great show, especially if you watch prequels and at least couple of Clone Wars episodes focused on Obiwan, Anakin, Ashoka, and Padme before hand. You will feel a good emotional weight. I feel like the show was given great care or at least better than what was given in the making of sequels.😁
@@meeralrafee1875 ok
Holy shit I forgot this actually happened
Everybody says OWK was a terrible TV show, but i loved every Vader scene.
It wasn’t terrible. It was plagued with issues and lots of time characters just kinda do things randomly, but the acting and the emotional bits were handled well made. Vader was handled perfectly in this series and Obi Wan was great too but at a lesser degree
Cut out leia and reva and it would be so much better
@@styles2611 not leia, just make her act like a real scared child when seperated from her parents, the only time she should act funny is when she is with her parents at the beginning because she isn't scared yet
Anakin never would have done this the one from the clone wars series I wish they’d do something in the future where Anakin watches this
That’s not Anakin
Good thing its not anikan isnt it lol this was a near prime vader but was still nerfed a bit understandably.
Anakin sees his future thanks to The Brother and knows what he has done as Vader
"Anakin skywalker was weak. I destroyed him."- Vader.
It is Anakin. They were never different. He just pretends to be different to hide his guilt. Anakin can definitely do that.
Imagine being Obi-Wan. You know what Vader can do, you see him execute innocent people, you have him crippled and on his deathbed and your response is “Goodbye Darth”. How many people did Obi indirectly kill by letting Anakin live TWICE?
By that point Vader was harmless and Obi Wan has never killed anyone that couldn't fight back. That just isn't who he is. And it isn't like he could call someone to arrest him. The only police force by this time was the Empire
@@lishishur293 that’s my point. His moral compass was what caused so much death and destruction throughout the galaxy. Had he just killed Anakin either time he’d had the chance, he’d have saved countless lives.
@@davidhelling6035the jedi don't kill unarmed prisoner

I think the facial expressions are perfect in this scene.
The only crime that has been committed here is how dark and grainy the footage is

Mannn!! This is the Vader we needed to see more of. Ruthless and twisted!! Obi Wan had nothing but fear in his eyes at that moment.

Best live action Vader.
Think I might actually rather be locked in a room with Palpatine at this point. At least he might offer me a spot on the dark side as an alternative to death. Vader would just immediately kill me.
Best scene of sw
and this guy will become happy light side force ghost after palpatines death :D mf killed billions!
Its scenes like this that make me love when Vader gets his ass handed to him by Kenobi on Mustafar and in this series, or Starkiller in Force Unleashed (yes i know its not canon)
Vader was a horrible guy who commited some serious atrocities, f*ck this tragic soul, he's a mass murdering monster
Why he's killing them? Even he's villain so you told me Anakin isn't reasonable person after operation Knightfall?
I really thought the inquisitors were completely unnecessary

😮 Anakin…
Wasn’t dark enough didn’t feel anything
He killed a father in front of his wife and son and then killed the son brutally, leaving the mother without her family. He then dragged a woman screaming through the street while slowly choking the life out of her, all to get Obi Wan to come out. How is that not dark? What did you want him to do? Castrate a guy and gouge someone's eyes out while pissing on them?
Killed another youngling
Vader is the *ONLY* villain in the history of cinema who can go from scary (original trilogy) to funny (lego movies) right back to scary (Obi Wan series) without missing a beat

He killed a woman.....after the father and son
Hated this scene as Vader is reduced to rage angry murderer and sadist rather than a cerebral calculated villain killing when necessary to achieve his aims like he was in the original trilogy. Instead it would have been better with Vader just lifting a villager up and giving Obi-wan the count of 5 to come out before he killed a villager then would carry on killing until he came out. Also Obi-wan looked like a chump for just hiding while this happened and then when he does eventually fight and defeat Vader which was hard to believe he just walks away when he could of finished him. Poor.
Darth Vader was never shown to be a calculating Villain literally ever.
He’s always been a raging killer, Vader’s first 15 seconds in a new hope he kills anyone he can find.
Plus you have to remember, this is Obi-Wan Kenobi were talking about. For Vader this fight is VERY personal.
@@senatorarmstrong8960 I respectfully disagree they were in a war against the rebels and he wasted the rebels soldiers who where fighting back when they tool over the ship. When he didn’t have a backstory or when his character didn’t have a character. Its been almost 40 years guy, Vader isn’t a “Cerebral Calculated Villain”
And he doesn’t “Only kill when necessary”.
He does whatever the fuck he wants and kills whoever he wants and its always been this way, Vader was never an Evil Mastermind.
That was Palpatine’s role not Vader’s Palpatine himself used Vader as an Enforcer a Brute to push his will onto people.
Clearly you know jack shit about the character.
The reason he attacks the Villagers is because he knows Obi-Wan is there and he THINKS that putting innocents as risk will push Obi-Wan to expose himself so Vader can kill him.
