- We have an exciting episode this week as we do something we have never done before on the boat! This got the whole crew excited so we invited everyone around for a big boat party here in Costa Rica....
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. They found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are almost ready to cross the Pacific Ocean!!

I'm an old guy now lol. Even I remember that it's nearly impossible to get a hangover before 21 or 22 . Wait until 45, bring the pain 😵💫
The end cracks me up, a few Christmas' ago my 18yr old niece got drunk with all the Aunties and Uncles on a family holiday. The next morning all the oldies looked horrible and she was just all smiles and sunshine. Damn you young people, rubbing age in our old fart faces.

Though I wasn't there (obviously) it sure felt like I was!!! Heartwarming, joyous, reconciliation of souls, old and new friends and surrounded by love. You just can't beat that!! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy it with you. Would have been just a touch better if Jamie were there too, but at times, God steps in and makes a change.

If you have any issues with the contact cement lifting, try reapplying with less glue and applying a small amount glue to both surfaces and then letting both dry to tacky then when you place it (you get 1 shot at it) compress the patch between some heavy flat objects like baking pans or scuba fins with dive weights on them.

Brought back memories of parties when I lived in Yosemite National Park. So much fun. I lived and worked in Yosemite for 25 years. Climbing, skiing, back packing, white water rafting, and before Yosemite I body surfed all up and down the California coast. I wish that I was healthy enough to come crew. I didn't know this kind of life existed back when I was young ( I'm 64 now ) or I would have jumped at the chance to crew a sailboat. My advice to young people is.. learn to cook.. if you don't cook ( I don"t but always wished that I did) then be ready at any time to wash dishes and scrub pots. Be at the beck and call of the cook or the captain. Learn to do your fair share of the chores and a bit more and do it cheerfully and you will be welcome anywhere. I'm working on some long term chronic serious health issues that I may have finally found a solution for and if I get some health back, then hopefully I get the chance to get out there and try sailing. God I wish that I could join you. Keep living your dream Colin, and thanks for taking us along.

Guys just to help a little with the dog. If you don't have chew toys for the dog get some. If you catch the dog in the act get him a chew toy and prase him a lot. It called positive reinforcement. And keep the dog he loves you guys!
