SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!!

Crossed the equator in 1974 on the USS Ranger CVA 61. Lots of crazy memories of that day.
I remember watching the livestream of the equator crossing, it was a great live. And gotta give a shout out to David, who did an awesome job on that particular day
The live was so great and the crew were all so happy & proud of themselves. Great vibes all round

This episode reminds me of the day I became a shellback on the USS John S. McCain DDG56 in the U.S. Navy. What a glorious day and this video really brought back wonderful memories of that painful day.......

I'm not a Shellback, but I am a Golden Dragon (International Date Line). Watching your live crossing led to my going back and watching every episode from the first lightning strike. It seems like it's taken forever for the episodes to catch up. I'm hopelessly addicted to watching everything about Parlay. Gives me a sense of nostalgia for the comradery I experienced during my time in the USCG. Please continue. I could take an hour a week instead of 30 min, EASY!!!!!

There might only be 10 crew members on the boat but there were hundreds participating in their fun. Thanks for the experience. I crossed the international date line but never the equator. An experience I regret missing.

This is a great episode - I watched it live which was both amazing and awesome.
I made 3 passages over the equator, all 3 on the Sail training Ship Gorch Fock, we had 12 Stations to cross. That was so horrible against these 4 people. But congrats to the 4 new worthies for the crossing. Very nice

It told the tale of her incredible encounter with the International Dateline, where at the same time she was in two different hemispheres, on 2 different days, 2 different months, 2 different years, 2 different seasons and 2 different centuries!!!

Interesting that the crew feel crossing seems to be going so quick and nobody wants it to end. I watched Delos and crew on an Ocean crossing to Southern Brazil a number of years ago. There is a shot where the crew got the smell of land and reality dawned. Nobody wanted the end to come. Sign of a great Captain and a well matched crew

Thank you once again for sharing I might be able to do it ever again because I had a truck exit and lost my leg above the knee in 2018, but I just love the ocean loves sailing.
