WE DID IT, WE SAILED ACROSS THE PACIFIC OCEAN!! - (Episode 6/6)

- A raw and emotional account of the moment that we had been waiting for, for so many years. 2,855 nautical miles, 19 days and 10 hours at sea, we finally arrived in the Marquesas islands. It was the adventure of a lifetime, and that feeling when pulling into Fatu Hiva island will be something we NEVER forget.
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!!

An absolutely incredible trip of a lifetime! I still vividly remember the sights, sounds and smells of that morning. The 8 am celebratory beer tasted better than any I can remember! Thanks Colin and crew!🤎🤎🤎
You were SO fantastic to watch on this journey @Stephenmacleod5824!
You did an OUTSTANDING job. 👍🏼👍🏼
To hell with the Narc's 😂..but seriously what an amazing journey to be a part of, that less than 1% of the human race will ever make
Congratulations Steve. Enjoyed watching you and your contribution.
I couldn’t agree more Stephen ☺️. Forever grateful to have had this experience!
I got a bit teary eyed watching this. Ultimately, I think the draw to Colin and Parlay Revival is some combination of the Kiwi can do attitude, the wit, and the incredibly wholesome spirit of fraternité that you encompass in taking on these massive challenges together, as a welcoming collective, all different skill levels and ages and nationalities together. ❤❤❤ What a ride!
Well said.
Absolutely ❤
How many times did Colin’s facial hair change in this video.
True :-)

Moved to tears.
I am a 30+"yr airline Captain and I related on a very deep level to your emotions.
For years, I was responsible for 300+ lives as I crossed oceans. There is a fair amount of stress with this responsibility and undeniable pride when the mission is accomplished. Congratulations Captain❤
So many memories, but one I had forgotten until watching this was Colin shaving different parts of his beard over the last days to see if we noticed. I didn’t notice until he came up that last morning with the foo man choo thing going on. Watch the video again to see the progression!
That's a good laugh eh?! 😂
Gary Player, veteran South African golfer, always said "the harder I practice , the luckier I get". You worked for it Colin! Sunken, flooded, hit by lightning twice, broken bulkheads, failing rigging and torn sails... now THAT is persistence
So true! Colin’s the hardest worker and 100% dedicated to this dream. It’s amazing to watch and even more amazing to be apart of.
That's such a great quote, one to live by for sure.

So emotional to share this journey with all of you, especially Colin and Jamie who toiled so much from the beginning. Heartfelt congratulations and gratitude for taking us along. I loved every minute. Thank you so much ❤
The support from everyone watching at home means everything xx
Congrats to Colin, Jamie and all the crew!!
I have lived vicariously through all of you. Thanks for a great journey!
Thanks for being apart of it 😊
Colin has a captivating way of narrating that takes us on the emotional journey with him and the crew.
What a fantastic Journey Parlay completed. The smile and tears said it all. Congrats Colin and crew. Thank you.
Thank you!
I bet that 8am beer was the best tasting ever 🥂🍻
The entire Pacific Crossing Series really has hit an all-time high for entertainment value. Well done to Colin and his right hand man Jaimie. Parlay was incredibly well prepared and the crossings success with virtually NO drama speaks volumes to these sailors knowledge and expertise. 😊😊
Fuck me, what a journey. I'm sat here in DXB almost in tears.
What an amazing achievement, from damp balsa to cracked bulkheads and lightening strikes. You and Jamie are unstoppable, along with an amazing crew!
I cried watching this as I have been here since the jump of the repairs after dragging Parlay out of the water. Your episodes of this crossing were beyond exciting and it is as IF we in this audience were there. I MUST add that Colleens smile is SO beautiful, her joy just soars from it. You are right; each of you kept each other safe and the boat you and Jamie worked on tirelessly made this journey happen.
I also cried... felt like I was part of the crew the whole trip and felt the great sense of accomplishment the crew did... I certainly hope this is not the end of the Sunday weekly You Tube videos... the highlight of my week... so better than the garbage we get to watch on Below Deck.. Congrats to everybody you deserve it.
The Super Bowl, The World Cup, The World Series…………all combined in one place. Simply AWESOME. Thanks to Colin and the entire crew for making our lives a little happier through your adventure. God blessed you with a safe passage and lifetime friendships. Simply AMAZING.
Such a sweet comment, thank you ☺️
FYI, if you source natural eggs, from farms that do not wash their eggs after laying, there is a membrane /bloom that encapsulates the egg before laying and seals the micro-pores that are present in the shell. You can then store those eggs at room temp for a month un-refrigerated, then refrigerate and will keep for another two months, but its preferable, if possible to keep them at room temp for only 2-3 weeks, then refrigerate. Just food for thought the next time anyone needs to store eggs for long journey's, find farm fresh eggs~!
Also, put them in a cup of water. If they sink, they're good. If they float or sink slowly, they're bad
This is what l do when in doubt. Gas in the egg causes them to float indicating they're unfit for eating. Haven't had any folks baited this way.
This is, by far, the best series of any sailing channel! Congratulations.
I rode my bike (bicycle) from san francisco to Boston. While not the momentous accomplishment of parlay, I felt the same way. The first few days were hard and two months later I couldn't imagine not being out there. Been trying to convince the wife, that sailing around the world is the next adventure. I'm a ships master so it's not a big stretch, but I'm running out of time. Watching you reinvigorates my drive. Again, well done.
That’s a huge accomplishment, congratulations to you too!
Convince the wife and do it 😊
Congrats, all 8 of you. The speeches and videos of your emotions and feelings are priceless. Colins speech on arrival was emotional and so poignant. Colin you are a very special person! Yachties are a special breed, we take time to smell the roses, meditate, think and absorb the beauty of nature as it glides past slowly, the sunrises and sunsets are life affirming. I sailed 13 days from Auckland to Brisbane in 1986, my first overseas trip. 38 years later, and the images from that voyage are still sharp and recalled almost daily! Still one of the best things I have done in my lifetime (I am now 72 years old, and still keeping fit). I have owned yachts, which cost a lot, but the memories are worth every cent. I am ready to own another yacht, and explore the worlds oceans, because that is my passion. To be like a child, finding joy in everything, is the secret of life, and a yacht gives you new views every day, keeping you young forever. Regards, Murray (and Jean), Kiwis living in Australia.
Congratulations Colin and crew!!!! It so great to be a part of seeing your journey to cross the pacific. Watching it this am, I have tears and smiles galore! So happy and proud of you all especially Colin your Captain who got you there safe and sound. Great work Britt on the video. Hugs to you all.
Thank you so much for following along ❤
Congratulations, what an absolute milestone for all of you. Captain Colin, you’re an amazing individual, Captain and leader. You couldn’t have selected a better crew. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey.
He’s the best captain! Thanks for following along :)
After watching Delos last year, SV Florence and SV Nahoa just recently complete their circumnavigation, this is a huge step towards yours. 🌎
Great job, crew. 👏
Thanks so much!
Well done Parlay Crew! Colin, your planning and attention to detail prepared the boat and crew, you skippered the boat, mentored the crew and thousands of followers. Well done, lad.
Hard Work, exemplary devotion, dedication, discipline wins the game.
Thank you sooo much for taking me along with you guys!
Aaaaaa? where we goin now!! Let’s GO!
We’re sailing around the Marquesas so stay tuned 😉
@@KatieParlayRevival you couldn’t stop me!!
Needs a love button instead of a like button!!!! Awesome episode!!!!
I've been watching for years and is it just me or are others getting teary eyed too? So happy for you all and especially Colon who's vision has come to reality. Love you all and God speed.
“I think we should just wait until the last minute and then go into a mad panic” I am extremely jealous. Fair winds and following seas capt and crew!! Truly a great accomplishment, you should all be proud!!
CONGRATULATIONS ALL! Thank you for bringing us along for the journey.
What a ragtag bunch of a team and yet you function like a select team for the Olympics. Well done, the trip was incredible and a complete success for all of you. 💯👍👏
This episode is amazing. I just cried all the way through this. We already know you made it because of the Below Deck Reunion, but watching you finally get there and the emotions that were shown was elation with a combination of relief that you were there to happiness to all of you that you achieved your goals. Congratulations and I admire you living your dream. When you are a person, such as me, that sits in traffic and an office all day, I am not only envious but extremely happy for those of you who get to live it.
Man what a journey! He or she who doesn't share the emotional arrival must be dead. Congrats on an epic crossing all of you! Just goes to show, a dream no matter how big or small can be realized if you want it bad enough and are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Congratulations to you all!! I have been glued to the screen since you began the rescue of the current PARLAY REVIVAL. You have proven the capabilities of this highly updated and strengthened catamaran. This speaks strongly to the leadership capabilities of Captain and Chief Engineer Colin McCrae. The whole crew was socially synchronized and mission-focused. You have all earned a piece of the dream. I felt your heartstrings in your videos when you all realized what a rare confluence of opportunities this episode of The Log of the Parlay Revival has been. Your names are permanently in the log.
Thanks so much for following along ❤
Fcking EPIC is all you can say. Years of hard work and knock after knock. True warrior stands up and lives the dream. Mad respect brother.
Fantastic series Colin. Its certainly a great achievement for you and the crew and a testament to your character.
Often times people don’t realize that it takes a lot of hard work to make something like this look so easy. Congrats on the accomplishment!👏
One word..... GOOSEBUMPS!!!
Beautiful video.
Thank you 😀
The Universe is very happy you Kept faith in yourself and Parlay , to bring her back to life , and thanked you with a fairly uneventful passage as the real shake down crossing . Congratulations 👍
😎😎
It was wonderful to watch each week as all of you shared a video of your passage across the Vast Pacific Ocean.
To watch your faces as Parlay caught a vision of land was extremely priceless.
I must say, but through each one of your eyes we got to capture these very special moments after 19 days of sailing, to catching vision of land, to the moment of setting your anchor, these moments were also special to each one of us subscribers. "Yes, we did it!"
Now we get to explore through your eyes and the eyes of your cameras, as all of you get to explore the island and its people.
As they would say, your adventurous journey has begun, discovering new experiences one island at a time.
So very true! Constantly thinking how lucky we are ☺️
Congratulations to you Colin and all your beautiful crew! This has been a hallmark moment for all of us who have followed you. As I write this I feel the tears in my eyes, and a glow of deep happiness for you , and this amazing crew! Thank you for bringing me on this journey with you all. My hats off to you!!! Blessings forward to all of you guys!!!
Wow, wow, wow. I have watched from the very early stages and to see the dream come to fruition is amazing. I could feel the emotion in everyone’s comments. Please keep making these videos, they are priceless
Congratulations Colin, Jamie and crew! What a great achievement! Enjoy the islands of the beautiful South Pacific!
Magnificent moment Colin and the right people showed up.....always. Unbelievable. Good on you man. 👏
I think the most understated thing in the whole vid was the part about paying your dues. I mean crossing that ocean is a feat in itself, but the drive and determination to go from a semi submerged vessel to where you and your crew have landed is the true feat. A huge congrats to realizing a dream and good vibes to all the new ones you have planned!
Neat trick with the eggs. Fill kettle with water, put the eggs few at time to the water, if they dont sink to bottom within 3-5 seconds they have gone bad, floating eggs have gone bad.
Absolutely incredible! So excited for you and can’t wait to finally meet you in Annapolis!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! See you next week 🙌🏼
Gosh Colin, you can make a guy like me cry like a baby... YOU ARE A LEGEND!
4.5 hours of motorsailing is incredible! I felt the emotion and energy of your passage through your videos! Colin, you have so much passion for reaching your goals including "Below Deck" which helped you along the way. I'd be honored to ever be a part of such an adventure.
Colin. Dude.. I have watched you and Parlay from the start. I now think this is the start. Proud of all of you.
Congratulations Colin and Jamie.and all the other crew....many obstacles over 4+ years but you did it. I cannot believe I followed you every episode since you got the boat. Well bloody done
Well done Colin, Jamie and crew, and a special thanks to Brittney for the wonderful editing to show us the journey.
Big congrats, parley, Colin and crew!
I have been watching the channel, almost since the beginning and how you have overcome all the problems you have faced. a few times I already suspected that you would have to give up, luckily that has not happened and now you have reached a big goal, on your way around the world. I can't wait to see what else you will experience on your travels. thank you for the excellent moments that I have been able to experience through the screen. Greetings from the cold north! Turku, Finland.
Congratulations Collin and the crew! Only broke 2 little things and spending 3gallons of diesel is an amazing achievement! Bravo to all the Crew!
Fantastic! Not many people can say they sailed across the Pacific, but the Parlay crew are in that special group. Well done Colin and crew - you never let go of the dream.
Colin ! Easy test for the eggs, how to know if they are getting spoiled. you fill a bucket with water, drop the egg in to the bucket, if it lays sideways in the bottom its still completely fine and has a good life still left, if it stays up but doesnt rise, you can still use them but it means that only for cooking not for raw eating, if it rises to the top, you have to toss it ! only do this test when you are going to use them, because soaking an egg in to the water removes ptotective layer from the egg, and the spoiling process goes to overdrive ! keep it up 👌👌
I’m so proud of what you’ve done! I’ve been around since the beginning, and this is as awesome as I thought it would be! Well done to all of you (and the hundreds before that helped).
I've been watching you from the start. Colin you have tenacity.
And, good loyal friends, with Jamie probably topping the list.
Quite an accomplishment. A lesser man would have quit.
Semper Fi.
This is the journey being the destination. Thank you guys for being awesome. Hats off, especially Jamie and Colin for making this boat float again.
Thank you for being awesome and following along 😊
All of the attention to every minut detail. Dealing with every setback like it is just another day. Colin you are a Captain. 3 cheers for Capt. Colin! You achieve while others watch.
Wow, I've been following you guys for years and this gave me the feels big time having known what you have been through. Wonderful stuff.
Thank you ❤
It’s like reading a great book and you’re on the last chapter, you just want more chapters! I have looked forward to this every Sunday. Loved watching each one of you, all special. Thanks for taking us along.
What a wonderful achievement, congratulations everyone onboard Parlay. Just imagine the stories you'll be able to tell you grand-children some day, fantastic memories.
From Captain Wally.
Captain Colin gave the best talk to his crew and probably he n those few words made a huge difference in their lives like it was done for me.
The sea is life.
Thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday fixes as I watch such a great group of people on this life journey. I have been following Parley crews for some time now, and I love the whole dynamic around it. Jamie is always a legend and such fun. Captain Colin such a great leader. But without exception all the crew members fall into such a great world and it always works. Best wishes from the UK.
Awesome Colin 💥💥💥
Well done Collin & crew Glad you made it safe it just shows what the boat is capable of with all that work you have done a big congratulations to you all enjoy the party when you get off the boat can’t wait to see next weeks video & see the dogs running on the beach 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🤪
Every single one of you are heroes, and role models for anyone who wants to sail! Congratulations to you all!
This video is inspiring, wholesome, emotional and of course helluva entertaining! Well done Colin amd Parlay Crew! 🎉 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
A quite renown boat builder and designer told me when I asked when our mono project would be ready, his reply immediately and accurately, “The boat will tell you”. Through all these years, you and Jamie listened and only hearing it after the rig change out! And that crew selection, drawing on the geniuses each had in individual ways they did not know they possessed. Fair winds, Parlay REVIVED!
Awesome as always 🎉
Congratulations to you all!!! You did it!! Thank you for letting us all come on this journey with all of you!!! Love all of you!!
Haven't watched for a long time, but this was one if the best sailing videos I've ever seen. What a great trip, and you cant underestimate the value of bring with good people. Been a long journey, even longer journey to get Parley fully operational . Collin the true Jedi master of ocean cruising...and Youtubing.
Congratulations on a safe passage🎉 what an amazing experience you will all remember for the rest of your life..feel blessed to live in an age where I could share in your journey.
Hey Colin, and jamie. you guys have been an absolute inspiration to me for quite some time.
I've been a loyal viewer of your channel for around four years now. As a cardiac ICU nurse, your videos have been my go-to during study breaks, especially now that I'm back pursuing my bachelor's in nursing. It's truly inspiring to see your journey, from the early days to where you stand now. Your message about seizing the moment and not waiting resonates deeply, especially given how fleeting life's milestones can be.
Watching your sailing odyssey reminds me of my own aspirations to become a certified nurse anesthetist, a tough three-year journey I'm gearing up for. Everyone has their mountains to climb, and seeing you summit yours with such grace and tenacity is heartening. Your commitment, especially evident in the detailed repair work on the bulkheads, shows what dedication and passion can achieve. Those videos, along with the stunning vistas you've showcased, rank among my favorites.
Having recently studied "Lincoln on Leadership," I couldn't help but draw parallels between Lincoln's leadership qualities and your own approach: thoughtful, meticulous, and inspiring. The world can be a tough place, and your uplifting content is a much-needed breath of fresh air.
Maybe someday, our paths will cross, and I'll get to thank you in person. Until then, this message will have to suffice. If the stars align, perhaps I'll even join you on one of your sailing adventures as a Patreon guest. The day I enter nurse anesthetist school, I'll drop you a line, marking the start of my voyage towards my dream.
Remember, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." - Winston Churchill. Cheers mate! Until we meet in person, I wish you all the best the world has to offer. Youve done something incredible, and for this i hope the feeling of pride and deep satisfaction last for months and months.
also the scene starting at 22:36 and ending 23:07 i feel is the pnical of so many years of work and effort. it truly moved me and as i followed along i feel a deep sences of happynbess for you guys. congrats on making a lifetime achievement and inspiring so many others that they can do the same.
grand total of your videos i have watched 141... i just counted, and they were all fantastic.
Nothing of value in life arises without effort. You and the Crew have put in the effort required to be where you are, when you are.
Cheers!
After watching for so long, I'm honestly happy to see Colin, Jamie and the crew that made the journey.
The crossing was EASY....finding a Captain and crew as HARMONIOUS as those on Parlay Revival?...EPIC!
KUDOS on both achievements. ❤⚓️
Incredible!! You all are so inspiring. Thank you for sharing the journey!
As a kiwi living away from home. Iv loved watching parlay revival over the last 2 years.. so excited to see you and the crew get closer and closer to new zealand waters!
What a wonderful video! I am proud to be a Patreon and part of the Parlay family! Thank You Parlay for changing my life! T.A.O.
And the Parlay family is lucky to have you TAO 😉❤️
Couldn`t have happened to a nicer guy Colin. Great crew to do it with also.
That island already looks awesome on my phone screen. Can’t imagine how it feels to arrive at a place like this in real life after such an epic passage. Congrats
It was like nothing any of us had ever seen before! Such a dramatic landscape to see for the first time after 19+ days of only open ocean.
Friends, Blessings on Blessings on Blessings 🙏🫶🥇
Thank you all for your service 🫡✅
That was emotional and beautiful. Congrats on an epic crossing. Well earned and deserved after all you went through to get there. I never once doubted you'd make it, even when you did at times in those really hard moments and setbacks. The bulkheads, multiple lightning strikes, the astronomical expense I'm sure to get that boat where it is, is all a testament to your tenacity and desire. Your quest and need to explore and experience always outweighed the struggles in the end. I'm so proud of you and your crew. It's been an honor to witness the togetherness, the determination, the community, and the can-do spirit thrive through so much adversity to a beautiful, peaceful place at sunset on the other side of an ocean. Well done.
The most incredible thing about this years-long journey is Colin plays pretty good guitar now. Totally worth the other stuff.
So happy for you all to make it to the end, goodness don't understand the tears it brought to me, but I am sure they are good tears. Thanks for answering my question about how your dogs have their potty break. 😀😂 Enjoy your stay in your new surroundings. Colin you could probably Captain a big 80 or100 ft. big boat with a crew of 10 (who all get along well) cruising the big seas with no problem. 😄🙂😉
Wonderful episode! It is crazy how all of you make us feel as though we went through this passage with you. The documentation was very well done. Maybe we feel so much a part of your journey because we have watched all the previous videos and understand the trials and setbacks you overcame. Always doing so with a positive can do attitude and helping so many others along the way. Thank you for bringing us along sharing the intimate moments, the fun times and everything in between. The honesty and respect you grant each other is inspiring. Keep laughing and treasuring every moment. We are eager to continue enjoying your adventures along the way! Much love to you all 💖
Very sweet. Much love to you too ❤
CONGRATULATIONS Captain Colin, Jaime and all the remarkable, wonderful crew! What an adventure and memory for life.
I've been dipping in n out since you were repairing the boat and rectifying the design faults. It's been a fantastic journey culminating in this amazing achievement. I've seen numerous Lagoons moored in Lagos, Portugal and can't help but take my hat off to you Colin, and the crew, and all that have been involved in the journey you've undertaken. I might just have a beer (or 2, 3 or maybe more) at sunset and toast your achievements.
Thank you and cheers 🍻
Colin, the raw emotion was so evident in the video. I'm so happy you were able to accomplish your dream and shared it with all of us. Looking forward to following your continuing adventures.
Awesome Parlay! So proud of all of you. What a journey so far.
Speechless. Emotional. Beautiful. Thoughtful. Epic.
Folks, you have been in my prayers.... congrats on such a fantastic voyage!
And Colin it was also due to your dream, perseverance and careful planning that enabled this to happen. You are an amazing guy!
Dam Colin... you did it. I am so happy for u and the crew. I am so very happy that I have been watching from the beginning till now .. your speech brought a tear to my eyes...
The honesty and genuine dialogue is so refreshing. Well done and can’t wait every week for another episode.
Incredible journey, Congratulations to all of you! Thanks for taking us along with you.
Wouldn't this just be the best NatGeo program? I sat here all teary eyed and would imagine this would make an amazing program! Luv to you all!
Amazing ...congrats to you all from Dublin Ireland ...you are all heroes 🙌
Words cant explain how excited I am for you and the crew. All the delays and hard work were all for not. Its not a surprise your crossing was "un-eventful". Its credit to your skills and planning. Excellent job mate!
Wow what an amazing journey sure the beer tasted amazing that night!! And the video photography is on point. Keep inspiring the world to take a extra step into the unknown.
From watching this channel when there were 5000 subscribers.. to see Colin and Jamie and this family grow. Could not be more touched
