You also have to clean all the part due to the minerals in the water otherwise it’s going to rust, corrod or worse. You need to as fast as possible clean the water off the components. So everything apart and back together after wiping down
This will work… if it’s distilled water. If it’s not you need to take rubbing alcohol to it or else there will be trace amounts of different minerals deposit on your components that will cause issues. You can also soak/spray it with distilled water

Water by itself doesn’t fry your stuff. The minerals in it do. Wash it out with distilled water and then let it dry. I think putting some of those silica gel packets in and around should help
Is distilled water still conductive? I know that sounds like a stupid question...and may be a stupid question...but the more I thought about it the more I'm thinking it may not be.
@@angryzergling7832 its not conductive ,but it will all dry up anyway. The point is what is being left behind after it's dried up.Distilled water does not leave anything behind when dried.

The mineral deposits in the water is what actually does the damage. You can probably pour completely pure water into an active pc and it would probably run fine since water isn’t exactly conductive when it has nothing in it.
I love that this guy actually knows things, but doesn't use complicated words to elude to a higher level of intelligence, or make it seem like everyone else shouldn't know it.
To be honest if the parts are fresh they're not going to be corrupted you actually only need it to do it for like one or two weeks which generally most sources recommends one or two days but that's just to be safe but most other things on his channel is accurate
As an electrical engineer, I can also point out that if your bathtub was filled with 100% distilled water you should be totally fine after it dies out. Alternatively, you could use isopropyl alcohol (ideally 97%) and scrub down the PCB since that's how you can clean them after soldering.
My old pc was used as a door stop for an apartment fire, it got soaked, I left it in the sun on the balcony for like 2 weeks. Booted up just fine and even still had tabs open and a game running lol
I would suggest drying the parts with a towel, wether it has electricity running through it or not it can still cause corrosion, unless ofc you use mineral water
You can actually clean your electronics with water, just make sure it's completely off and that you make sure each component is completely dry before providing electricity to it again. Use something like rice to dry the components faster and you will eventually be able to use the computer once more.
Anyways, here's a simple brownie recipe for you: **Ingredients:** - 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter - 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar - 1 cup (100g) cocoa powder - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 4 large eggs - 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour - 1/2 teaspoon salt - Optional: 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips or chopped nuts for added texture **Instructions:** 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper. 2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well combined. Let the mixture cool slightly. 3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, into the cocoa mixture until thoroughly incorporated. 4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the cocoa mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. 5. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or nuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter. 6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake, as brownies should be fudgy. 8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving. Enjoy your homemade brownies!

1 good way of solving the issue is to submerge the pc in a bathtub of OIL after the the water bathtub because as a matter of fact people have made in the past aquarium pc's using oil for fluid you see oil is also a safer choice for "water cooling" because non conductive oil cannot harm your electronics even if they are fully submerged and OIL PUSHES WATER DOWN if you put water and oil in a glass water will drop down and oil will rise up forming 2 different layers same can happen if you wash the water off of the pc using oil bath the water drops from the electronics

the problem isnt about the water. infact some people submerge the device live in specific mineral water. but the problem is the corrosion and the oxidisation which will kill it
I'd recommend rinsing it with lots of rubbing alcohol to really get all of the possibly conductive or corrosive material out. Also it evaporates way faster so you might not have to wait for more than a day.
Additionally you will need to teardown ur GPU to get it to dry out properly and dunking everything into a batch of isopropyl alcohol will help because that stuff isnt conductive and dries quickly on top of capturing and moving water molecules
You should also remove the CMOS battery on the motherboard as that is still giving some power. It's used to keep your clock correct and such. If you're pc is really old you might need to replace it, not too important though.
