I’m A Geordie. I’m a lifelong Newcastle fan of 38 yrs. I cannot express the magnitude of how grateful and proud I am we have Eddie Howe as our manager. I think in time we will hold him in as high esteem as Sir Bobby Robson and I don’t say that lightly. I can genuinely envisage success and us winning trophies. Thank you Eddie! You have restored pride and hope In Newcastle not just the club but the city. Intensity is our identity!

The man oozes class, no pointing fingers or trying to blame others before him, the best signing we've made so far
I hope Eddie stays with us for a very long time. He’s becoming a legend already!
And he's still young... about 44 or 45 so he's got 20yrs of top quality management ahead of him and hopefully lots of trophy's too... I'm a Darlington supporter but love to see the north east teams do well... hopefully Newcastle will finish in the top 4

I hope he fucking tanks it… but only so he can get in the England dugout 😂😂
As a Bournemouth fan it’s great to see Eddie do so well, along with so many of the Bournemouth team and staff. NUFC have become a second team for many of us on the south coast, having also been treated so poorly for so long.
it’s fantastic to hear him talk about it 🙌🏻
Very Well said and Good Luck.
I've always rated Eddie and the work he did for you guys. He was my first choice manager when the take over went through. I love having Bournemouth in the prem - hope you guys can stick around for the foreseeable!

Very different from so many managers; he is articulate, intelligent & no stupidly obvious excuses such as 'we need to score more goals...we need more points, we need to start winning games etc.' Eddie is an intelligent guy who is above criticising players & other teams, so astute, focusing on improving the components, qualities that make a winning team!
Wow we have hit the jackpot with Eddie
Absolute gentleman Eddie Howe ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️👍
We struck GOLD signing him up. 🎉❤
He has been the biggest signing ! ❤🔥❤🔥
what a manager and more importantly what a bloke
I carnt believe how much respect I have for this man, the way he talks about his team, it’s like he has became a father figure to all of them. It’s like Sir bobbys story all over again. ⚽️🐐
My exact thoughts myself
Was a shame we got Sir Bob at the end of his career! He had had cancer surgery chemo etc long before managing the Toon! Eddy is the second coming of Bobby but at the opposite end of his career! He will peak at the Toon don't think he going anywhere soon!
God bless Sir Bob he was proper legend!
Wolves fan here ,always liked Eddie always liked Newcastle, my uncle god rest his soul ( big wolves fan ) absolutely loved the city of Newcastle, took my lad a few times now with wolves and he loves it , can’t wait for them to win the league , can’t see it being long , but when we come up this season and spoke to few geordies they were just glad to have a club to be proud of, great people great club
Thats very nice of you. As a Newcastle fan we're only used to baffling abuse from national rags, principly from fans of so-called sinister six. Especialy Man Yoo Spuds and Liverpool (Entitled FC) and thats just been magnified from the already disgraceful and inexcusable delight they got from the despair Ashley and his sub standard managers (yes men) put us through. But when the Saudis came and the likes of Oliver Holt Miguel Delaney and the rest smugly expected to take over their club, Man U - it was long suffering Newcastle. The shrieking and ranting was astonsihing. The worst though was a Spurs supporting Guardian writer who went so low as to accuse every single person every man, woman and child in the North East even accusing them of racism believe it or not - how the creep worked that out...but it was a Guardian writer they rant about racism in the weather report. Middle class whites.....and the dumber and more petulant and easy to control rival fan bought into it.....then these same hypocrite journalists enjoyed lavish hospitality in Qatah. And praised Qatah for doing the same things they ACCUSED Saudis for. But....they were getting treated like something special by Qatah so looking the other way at the treatment of the migrant workers....well, they couldn't give a toss. Which Klopp even pointed out in an interview recently these same "journalists" made sure they didn't report.
But things certainly are looking up. The fans generally believe Top 6, yet even now are being accused of being "deluded" - Ive never been able to wrap my head around the bile and spite towards Newcastle and grovelling to likes of Liverpool sides Man U (Not even Man City) and North London. What the hell have we done to deserve such baffling hate ?
Cheers mate, all the best.
As a Man United fan, this guy is the real deal. I'm frustrated because United are inconsistent, but have to be happy for this guy and Newcastle with what they're building. Brilliant.
I hate the way, Red Manchester fans call them united, such arrogance.
@@markbellwood6618 hardly like that’s a bit harsh do you actually care what other teams call themselves? He’s giving our manager credit yet you find something to be a cock about.
Manager of the year so far
I saw Eddie Howe play right at the beginning.....as a Bournemouth man you now have a wonderful human being and the best man manager in the country.....his integrity shines through everyone around him will shine.....Newcastle and Eddie now right in the driving seat and will be central to Newcastle and the future ... it's successful progress has..already started
Best Newcastle manager since bobby Robson.
Just so glad we have Eddie. Wonderful person
Best signing yet and that’s saying something 🔥🔥🔥
Sounds like a leadership masterclass! Being a coach, mentor and a manager is tough (in any workplace) but when you make a personal bond, the team will flourish due to first class leadership. Good luck to Eddie and Newcastle...from an Owl (WAWAW!).
Everton fan here. I really do hope Frank Lampard watched this and learned something from Eddie Howe. Well done Newcastle United, your future is bright.
A thought Everton fans hated Newcastle...
@@adampatterson2682 Not at all Adam. Though I can’t speak for all Everton fans
Everton missed a trick by not appointing ex Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner, he is very similar to Eddie Howe but obviously German,
Norwich City have now appointed him and if he is given money could be another Klopp,
He worked on a shoestring at Huddersfield Town
I’m a Saints fan and we’ve just been stuffed by Newcastle. I told everyone before the season started “watch out for Newcastle”, I could see they had some good players and a great manager and I wish them the best of luck - their fans have waited a long time for this.👍
Oh aye we have that!
Nice to see Eddie Howe having success with Newcastle. The love Geordies have for their club and the game is legendary, I can see them really building a solid team which will challenge for trophies. Nice to see the team back in the top flight, they have certainly been patient. LFC fan.
They'll buy their way to the top because of all that blood money, the owners will also have Howe in the bin the second they can lure an actual top manager. 😂😂😂😂

Eddie Howe is legitimately a manager and coach capable of a status likely of Sir Bobby ad King Kev. He seems to understand the management aspect, tactically and emotionally. He genuinely has both attributes that Sir Bobby and Keegan did. If he can continue this, he will be the first English manager to win the Premier League.
Eddie proving players are not machines they are human and I think that's why he gets the best out of the team brings everyone together so glad he's our manager and hope he is here for a long long time
Eddie is the proof that english managers are as good as the best in europe. In Bournemouth he always been playing with one hand tied behind his back, but now with Newcastle he's been unleashed.
He would be perfect for England. Just a shame Newcastle got to him first
@@dantralius9269 Bournemouth fan here, do not think he would suit the England job at all as he would have no control over the players, the reason he is so good is because he works so hard, the first man there in the morning and the last to leave in the afternoon, can’t do that with the England job
Bit presumptuous don't u think? Give him time to win stuff then u can say that. Good start nonetheless.
They need to win something though. Last English manager to win a trophy was Harry redknapp with Portsmouth that got relegated
I’m a West Ham fan and my Dads Bournemouth. Really pleased for you Eddie. Best of luck Newcastle.
As a Liverpool supporter I'm really pleased that Newcastle United..with their fantastic fan base are starting to achieve the success they deserve...Good luck to them...I hope they overhaul Man City in the premiership
Underlying the words in this interview is an attitude towards management that evidences, "My job is to earn the respect of those whom I manage and to keep that respect". From this interview, this includes: 1. Explaining to his players what he sees his role as relative to them (to develop them and help them in their careers); 2. Finding a way to create a bond of trust with individuals (finding out about them); 3. Finding a way to develop the bond between team mates (turn-taking personal relevant fact sharing with team members); 4. Explaining players what he is doing for them (staying up late at night designing personalised training programmes). Those are wholly transferrable management skills into any area of management, coaching, teaching (etc etc). Great stuff to see.
nice summary!
Mag Pie Bang on I see him like a Bobby Robson style manager but at the start of his management career not on the downwards as Sir Bob was when he made it too the Toon! Sir Bob will always be a legend but he was on a downward spiral as happens too best of us as old age takes hold! Eddy has that personal approach too his players treats them as respected family members in the team without getting there names wrong!
Great to see this reflective individual in charge - he wants to better the players, he wants to better himself- and the club. Step by step philosophy, patience - just all well and logically thought out.
This man has something even the best tacticians don't have: Man management.
He treats his players like humans, shows empathy and gets them all to trust each other and develop bonds. He is also modest and willing to improve as a person, i dont see any ego at all. This makes Howe feel like someone relatable and any player would like to play for a person like that. He hasn't been tested with difficult players at Newcastle yet, but he's so well respected I doubt players would want to upset him
He couldn't do it at a normal club so he now scrapes the bottom of the barrel by selling out and working for people who do stuff like assassinate journalists. What a guy! 😂😂😂😂
👍To be honest I don't think he'll allow that type of player to be bought in...besides skillsets they obviously do an in-depth analysis on a player's character and temperament too...
Cmon eddie son keep the amazing work up I'm loving the way Newcastle are playing so entertaining to watch
Top bloke he will go far.I’m a Leeds United fan and I have a soft spot for Newcastle United and I wish them and him all the very best.

Supremely talented manager. Clearly an incredible man manager judging by how well Newcastle have played since he took over and the rapid improvement of players like Almiron and Joelinton

Almiron? Is that you?
@@joestockton7016 either him or it maybe Big Jo lol
I honestly believe that Eddie Howe is one of the best managers Newcastle has ever had, taking over when we were winless, in a relegation battle expected to go down, and for him to take us to a top half of the table fight with only half a season to do so was unbelievable, and the signings he’s made and the price he got them is incredible! And what he’s doing now, 3rd in the table in our first season of the takeover and we’re pushing for European football 🖤🤍🖤🤍
What a credit to the game👏
So good to see the positive buzz around the club and the city again as well,
Long may it continue✊
Great modern thinking manager, who understands how to get the best out of his players

I’m a Villa fan, so I know what it’s like when you haven’t got a good manager! Eddies done a fantastic job, and the fans deserve it after the Ashley years! I hope Emery does it for us, and the signs are good! You’ve surprised a lot of the so called ‘pundits’ which is great. Newcastle is now a happy place! 👍

Eddie is a really impressive person. His style is measured and utterly professional which can't help but spread to everyone else within the club, from the boardroom to the pitch. Love our manager!
Eddie Howe is brilliant. Keep it up you're doing great job.
Brilliant interview I stumbled across this & ended up watching the whole thing lol I can see why Newcastle are doing well this season Eddie seems switched on when it comes to man management & when people feel like their manager really cares then they will be happy & work hard & fight for you & that goes for any job

Always been impressed by Howe but listening to him speak, my respect has only increased. As a Utd fan, hopefully he will be in charge at Old Trafford at some point.

Hi Julie yep the new owners and Eddie Howe have transformed The club completely the atmosphere at Wembley was unbelievable
Phenomenal job with alot of the same players that previous managers have had
I always rated this guy, especially what he did at Bournemouth, as a Wolves fan, I want to wish Newcastle the best of Luck for me they are the dark horses, and depending on what they do in the January transfer market they could win the League. Wolverhampton could learn a lot from Newcastle and embrace players, Management from our parts of the world.
I can’t get over what this man has done for our team, club and fan base. Wor eddie⚫️⚪️
I really hope Eddie can do well with Newcastle in his 2nd season and do even better. The City of Newcastle deserve every success that comes their way. So far one cup final and every chance of a Champion's League place, who would have thought. ☺

Good luck to this guy! He did a great job at Bournemouth & he deserved a job like this with a club that has under achieved. Half way through the season & already ye are third. Maybe still a little naive (City) but ye'll learn. On the up for Newcastle!
In my eyes, this man is already one of our NUFC greats. I hope he stays with us for years to come. What a team he's built - the media narrative on this being exclusively down to money is all nonsense. This man is a great manager.
All against us first half of chealsea game must of heard lack of quality from commentators 20 times in first half about our players!! Said too my pal be one goal here and its ours they sharp shut up about lack of quality and 7 mins extra time at end!! What a joke! They will stack the ods against us Eddy and the Toon Army will smash them down! He is a legend already sure he will keep us moving forward!
I’m not a Toon fan , but I am genuinely pleased to see them doing well . If nothing else the supporters deserve it .
i studied for 3 years up in Newcastle in the mid 80's and went to a few matches during the Beardsley era...I am a Villa fan , but if any set of fans deserve success its the Geordies, always passionate, turn up in huge numbers and have had nothing to cheer about for decades , apart from 1st Keegan era and even then they won nothing. I really hope they manage to lift some silverware, they deserve it after being starved for years.
A very well spoken gentleman.
I think that it's important that he sees each and every single player and an individual, a) it shows that he actually does care and b) you may be surprised to see just how far that can go to helping gel as a unit and finals c) the better you can get to know someone the better it is for people in general.
Get to know a little bit about a player/person, their history, where are they from, a little bit about their families and their background.
Priceless insight 🤩
What an impressive man
As an arsenal fan living in Newcastle its interesting to hear Eddie howe and Arteta talk about getting to know the players families and building those relationships
That's what so special about Eddie Howe he has all the values of a Geordie and a nufc supporter that makes us different from all the other clubs and city's that's what really gets on other supporters nerves greame souness himself said it he's never experienced it anywhere else the passion what we have for our club and city and now Howe feels that wants to be part of our family wants to put his time energy feelings experience into the players into the club and with the backing and money stick a black and white shirt over the peak of Everest for the world to see we are not just somebody's piggy bank anymore were not just another club who just competes in a lge and cup comps to make the numbers up I'm 43 now and il probably never get to see the full extent of where our club will be in the future but I know il always feel it and my kids will experience it and if by some bad luck curse which has seemed to haunt us before Howe will be up there with Keegan and Robson because unlike most of the time wasters we've had here Howe actually cares so hel always have my standing ovation no matter what happens
When he left Bournemouth I supported him to go for a top 6 team. His team genuinely played football and went after wins though on a shoe string budget. He's highly underrated.
What an absolute class act.

Football genius
I can remember being really envious of Bournemouth, having a manager who wasn't arrogant like Pulis or Warnock, or a wet blanket like Bruce. Modest but obviously assertive, Howe seems to relate to his players as people, which helps to generate that empathy and respect, which goes both ways. To get the same out of players as the "hardnoses" like Revie or Cloughie, without being an ogre is some achievement.
I love the first quote he's supposed to have made was to a fan who asked him if he can do something for our club. His reply was "Let's see what we can do...." No promises or self-importance, just a steady, sensible approach....
Guaranteed top 4 this season 💯
I sincerely hope so but Spurs,United,Liverpool and Chelsea will have something to say about that let aline City and Arsenal.
Definitely not guaranteed maybe next season tho
