- The Colorado Avalanche are on a roll as of late, and you have to feel comfortable about their first matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday night.
Columbus is not a playoff team, but who among the potential playoff matchups the Avs could have in round one of the playoffs would be prefer? Do we even have a preference? Or if the Avs finish out the season playing how they have been are we confident no matter what?

Lets see the matchups are either, Dallas whos had our number forever in the playoffs, The Jets who have had our number all year, the hottest team in the NHL or the defending champs. Ya i dont care who we get this year, there isnt a weak team in the western side so bring on whoever.
I still get kind of sick hearing kivirantas name on the broadcasts after what he did to us in game 7 in the bubble. Then I remember he’s one of the good guys now and I’m like “oh that’s right it’s just the ptsd”
Personally, I want Vegas, we have some demons there and I don’t think they’re as good as everyone wants to think they are. Everyone knows that house of cards they’ve built is bound to come tumbling down eventually. People forget that it’s been NOTHING but success there. This isn’t the detroit redwings. The downturn is coming and it’s coming fast.
Avs vs everybody
I’d love matching against Dallas. Put them in their place with ease. I’d guess a sweep or 5-1 tops. Easy walkover

No easy matchups this year but I can guarantee none of the 7 other teams want to play the Avs. Certainly would be nice to win the west and have home ice throughout but other than that, bring on whomever.

There’s no way in hell we’d loose to Seattle 1st round this season. Val alone would have changed the outcome last year. Our team is a very very close to our winning team. Mitts could step up and put up a ppg from now til po… Mack will probably average 2 ppg if we average 4-5 goals per. Things are looking freaking great. But anything can happen.

Thoughts about the podcast aside, bad take Andy. Annunen has been pretty solid and personally, I can see him being with the team for a long time. He’s young with few starts, he shows promise
@@tannerglenn4508 I think his point was it’s obvious that anunnen is the back up. But I think the thing he’s missing is that despite the fact these guys do a podcast every week day for a lot of Avs fans the season doesn’t really start until after the all star break. To them it’s still early in the year. Despite the inconsistency we’ve seen from the Avs outside of the top line (and sometimes including rantanen, despite the stats someone who’s watched him all year knows he was a hair off for about 2 months there) they talk as if we’re back to cup form after a handful of games. Meanwhile that type of complacency is what leads to getting bounced in the 1st round by Seattle.
Maybe someone else should do an Avs pod. Maybe it should be inspired by Steve dangles lfr videos bc I’m (or you know whoever) is also a very yelly possibly autistic man. Maybe there could be some videos like this coming soon and you guys should subscribe to my channel and stay tuned after the game vs Columbus.
