On LSU. 1) Check out the great spacing of the main 5 games LSU plays. SC, Ole Miss. TAMU, Bama, OU. 2) Check out the off week and opponents in the weeks leading up to the Ole Miss visit to Tiger Stadium vs Ole Miss's, 3) Do some homework on Kaleb Jackson for running game, 4) The Super Junior Leaders of 3rd year starting Tackles Campbell and Jones, a defense built to enable playmaker Harold Perkins, and TE Taylor, 5) Arguably the best DL/DE Coaching staff in all of CFB, 6) Baker as a HUGE DC upgrade, and 7) Corey Raymond with a much more talented DB crew than 2023. .That's some factors to balance out your question marks. I could add more, but there is a few

      1) The schedule spacing is about as good as it gets. I agree there for sure. 2) Ole Miss has 4 easy wins, then two C tier SEC teams. It isn’t as hellacious of a lead up as I feel you’re insinuating. 3) Kaleb Jackson is a great back. Reminds me of Justice Haynes early success as a freshman last year for Alabama. High YPC. Looked great doing it. Depth could become an issue if he or Josh went down though. 4) The tackles are easily the best duo in CFB. Perkins was in a playmaking position last year in order to help the lack of talent defensively. Obviously, it didn’t work. And no I don’t think LSU’s talent on defense got better. It’s actually significantly worse per recruiting data. 5) Yes, an amazing DL staff. 6) Baker is a solid upgrade, but I wouldn’t say he’s proven he’s an elite defensive play caller. 7). Corey Raymond was an A+ hire. Not sure how the DB room became more talented though. The transfer S from A&M is the only guy coming in that is of note. And even he wasn’t necessarily an elite guy at A&M last year.
It’s very hard to look at LSU objectively and still believe they can win 10-11 games for sure. They barely got to that number with the insane talent they had last year. Now, it’s mostly gone. 2020 LSU is a good example of what losing an immense amount of talent with the roster LSU has looks like. Only teams such as Alabama and UGA can really survive it. For example, Alabama had a mass exodus & still has the most five stars in the country by a wide margin. UGA would be in a similar position.

I’m a die hard tiger fan. This is a year where I have no idea what to expect and it’s exciting and scary. The defense has to improve and be even average and if that happens we are probably going to the playoffs or fringe playoff team. Our WR could be great, Nuss will probably be pretty good, our line is the best it’s ever been since I’ve watched. I think the RB’s are improved from last year. Our defensive backfield and DL are the biggest question marks for me. The defense was maddening last year

Best case scenario for Florida is improving on both sides maybe win 7 or 8 games hopefully Lagway starts the bowl game and balls out similar to Nico for Tenn. If all that happens Napier could weather the storm and a lot of folks would be stoked for 2025 with DJ Lagway as QB1.

Mullen didn't leave much outside of Richardson who was very raw because Emory Jones started every game but one. Most the notable guys Napier brought with him like Torrence, Pearsall, Etienne, Johnson etc. By 2025 the situation would be a lot better. Coaching does need to improve A LOT to get to 7 or 8 wins no doubt it's put up shut up time.

QB coach Joe Sloan had more to do with JD5s development than Denbrock. Now Sloan is also the OC. The bowl game was just a preview of the LSU '24 offense. Those 395 passing yards Nuss had would have slotted in as JD5s #3 passing game.
Last time LSU lost a 1st round QB and TWO WRs in same draft. Tigers were national champions the next season. They return the BEST 4 starting Olinemen. They have the best bookends in college football.
If DC Blake Baker can improve scoring defense by only a FG per game. Tigers scoring defense would be upper 40's very low 50's.
LSU probably plays 4-5 SEC opponents better than those 2 ex pac 12 teams. Neither game is in ca.
CBK just brought in one of the best defensive staffs in the country. Last years issues weren't about the jimmies and joes.
Tigers 3 toughest games 9ole miss, bama and ou) are all in Death valley. LSU not losing all 3. wouldn't surprise me if they go 2-1 even 3-0. Last time joey freshwater and they gumps played in BR both teams left with the "L".
CBK currently has his team in a better situation than the other nine opponents.

Im tired of the excuses for Napier. he is not an SEC caliber coach and the results of the past 2 seasons have shown that, plus the lackluster ending of this recruiting class which his entire hiring philosophy was based on. UF has always had a tough schedule, thats just the nature of the SEC and having FSU and Miami as in-state rivals so this schedule isn't new. Rebuilds in this era of CFB no longer take 4-5 years and the program still has huge holes that he doesn't seem to be very concerned about even in year 3. Think this season will be his last.

Defensively, even though coaching got a huge upgrade, and could be the best defensive staff out there, the player personnel just is not there. It will not be pretty. Best case scenario they are just ok, which is fine when youre offense is one of the best, but thats a best case scenario.

I got 4 (Old Dom, Akron, Vandy and Wofford) and maybe 5 at the end of the year because you can always count on the Taters figuring out a way to completely implode, especially since Dabo seems to be self destructing with these NIL/transfer portal rules. Taylor or Tyler from Spartanburg saved that team last year, but usually lighting doesn't strike twice, but I digress. Even if we do beat Clemson, and that is a big if at Clemson this year, that is only 5 wins. We don't even play Arkansas, Miss St or Florida the only three teams we had a real shot against in the SEC except Vandy. Some people say Kentucky but we are at UK this year, second game of the year, which will be Sellers first SEC game starting at QB, much better coaching staff at UK, and Stoops hates Beamer and I guarantee since he lost to him last year has that date circled on the schedule. People do not think the offensive line will be a disaster. Not one person close to the program from a media standpoint to a fan standpoint thinks that. Bill B has never had a disaster for a OL. Are we concerned it’s not going to be a good as what we think it can be and need it to be to have an elite season? Yes. With what we have on the OL we still think it will be middle of the SEC as it stacks now. What we are concerned about will it be better than that so JA can have the opportunity to utilize his skillsets and gives him time and the ability to grow without having to be pushed off his spots and not have the time to be as productive as we think he can be.
That’s a huge difference between a disaster. We are talking about arguably the best OL coach in the country. The questions are only there because we haven’t seen a large majority of the line play on a down to down basis. Do we think we do t have talent there? No
As an example. We lost our two tackles in the 2022 draft. What did BB do? Turned around and had his next 2 OT get drafted with another one for two years in a row as a first round draft pick.
So the notion BB would ever roll out a OL that’s a disaster is just way off base especially to what anyone that is familiar with program thinks.
OU’s fan expectations are championships and especially the disrespect we have e received while Texas, who we beat and have dominated for years, gets all of the praise.
People act like OU doesn’t reload and just look at the recruiting classes the last 3 years. Those 3 classes have top 10 and a top 5 class in them. So do you not think we do t have talent there at all? You shouldn’t it’s just we haven’t seen the talent play. Our right guard is an NFL player. The center Outside of the right guard are the only starters who will have been rated lower than a 4* with both projected tackles as top 150 kids.
So we can’t act like again there isn’t talent at all and it would be a disaster it’s just that we haven’t seen all of the talent play. Huge difference

The SEC teams has to schedule the other teams and play some home and away games and then, we will see who has the best conference. All you media pundits talk the SEC into being these world beaters and I know & understand what’s been done lately, but that shit has been choreographed like none other! If there is gonna be revenue sharing? Alabama, Georgia, Florida & others will need to travel to Corvallis, Pullman, Stillwater, Lubbock, Waco and Salt Lake to name a few and they’ll definitely see just how easy those games will be! This goes for the BIG 10 too! This will put some of that bias bullshit to bed, because imagine an SEC runner up going 9-3 losing to two BIG12 teams, but screaming they should get a spot over a 10-2 BIG12 runner up? In 2016 they were #11 and ended up 5-7.
In ‘19 they started #10 and were “back”; they won 8 games. The following year they started at #14 and won 7 games.

Texas is Overrated: "Texas made the playoffs" - but they shouldn't have. Georgia was a better team and the resulting playoff LOSS (like the majority of the other Big 12 playoff teams) proved as much. Texas played 3 teams that talent wise could match up with them, they LOST 2 of those games (OU, Washington). They SURVIVED Houston, TCU and K-State, none of whom recruit or are stacked talent wise like Texas. Texas won the Big 12 which can debatably be argued that it was the weakest it's been in years. Heck, They beat OK-State in the title game and they had a passing defense ranked in the 120's and an overall defense ranked in the 110's. And because of ONE, again ONE SINGLE SEASON, of success you want to say they are at the "head of the SEC table" with teams that have MULTIPLE national titles in the playoff era? Where is the logic in that?! If Texas goes out this year, with this schedule, and wins 10+ games then I'll give em respect and say they've arrived. But when you were 2 losses out of 3 games where teams matched up with you and you are about to go play 6 games where talent won't be the separating factor, I'm pumping my breaks on this team being at the "head of the table". Go win 10+ games and I'll be the first to say, "Texas has arrived".
