Joan Frau Bar in Mercado Santa Catalina, Mallorca

I was lucky to find Maritzar a Spanish teacher and tour guide who showed me Barrio Santa Catalina and in particular Joan Frau Bar a local institution. And also the Santa Catalina Market. Santa Catalina is just outside of Palma the capital and is a little less touristy but has a lot of hip new restaurants. Luckily I met Maritzar while waiting for a bus in Palma. She can more easily be found on Instagram at Maritzar_UR. She helped my Spanish and was even more helpful as a tour guide showing me places I would have missed.
