    Mallorca is so big and very diverse! You can have party 24 hours, you can have increadible silence, you'll find overcrowded beaches and you can go for a walk along beaches for hours without seeing one person. The westcoast is problably emptier. I love and know this island since my earlierst childhood 😍

    Mallorca is an incredible historical island, it was a Kingdom since 1229 to 1715 and totally independent during more than a century.
    Even it owned some french counties like Montpellier, Rosselló and baronies like Carlades, near central France.
    Palma is an almost 2200 years old city, one of the 5 oldest big cities in Spain, so much history in this tiny island

    Mallorca is also called the 17th German federal state. A lot there is very German. The classic film "Evil Under the Sun" was also filmed on the island. If you don't know him, I highly recommend watching him. The hotel from the film still exists. A video there would be awesome. Many Hollywood stars also have residencies there e.g. Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta Jones, Pierce Brosnan....i like that island too. But there are also so many other beautiful islands such as Madeira.

    Mallorca is a great Island, all year around not only in the summer time. The Island is also great for hiking in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dominate the entire west flank of Mallorca. Also the east side of the Island has a lot to offer, but its more quite, perfect for families. When you visit in the spring you see everywhere blooming almonds tree. Mallorca is not only the Ballerman in Palma

    You should come back in spring, and at least a week, it's really pretty. Or in early summer. But Mallorca really is super popular. Ibiza used to be as well, but now it seems a little less so so maybe it's less crowded The capital Eivissa is a very old and picturesque as well. And of course there's always Menorca, which is definitely less crowded.

    As you like Spanish food as well as relaxing at a warm beach, I wonder if you might want to visit the most southern point of Europe at one of the Canary islands which belong to Spain. Highly recommend a visit in late of autumn till spring as it gets very hot during summer time. And it's just a 4h flight from Munich...

    Mallorca is amazingly beautiful. It has all kind of attractive sites: beautiful beaches, stunning nature and landscapes, historic buildings and cultural things to see.... and of course the wheater/climate...!
    Because so many germans spent their time/holidays there, Mallorca is often called 'das siebzehnte Bundesland' / the 17th german state in Germany.
    Best Grüße aus der Südpflaz!

    It's great that you rented a car and explored the Island, I fell in love with the Island some years ago by exploring, too, I think it's sad that so many of my German friends have never seen more than Palma, Palma is a nice city, but the rest of the Island is much prettier.

    Have a bit time at the beach to enjoy the moment and the island is so nice.
    Mallorca is really nice, we did it around New year a couple of years ago and it was so awesome.
    I like the train ride from Palma to Soller and there you can use a historical tram to the port of Soller. It's so beautiful there, the little street's and market places and the restaurant's. We had a wonderful time.

    Maybe one can say that Mexico is the Mallorca of the americans? A favorite holiday spot to visit with much sun,beaches and tropical climate that many people like for their holidays...for europeans,as you are seeing,Mallorca is one of the favorite holiday spots to travel too. One advantage for us europeans is I would presume that Spain is quite a safer country to visit then the Mexico,with all its drugtraficking and cartels and so on. Otherwise it has some similarities,one of them,obviously,is the spanish language and the climate..and of course, a BIG party place...Mallorca is also viewed,just like Mexico is for americans,viewed as one of the biggest party places to visit.

    • @OurStorytoTell
      @OurStorytoTell  Před rokem

      That sounds like a good comparison! We have been to Mexico but unfortunately only in the tourist spots (which are typically quite safe). We want to explore more of Mexico some time, but first Europe! 😊 I think that’s a great comparison though!

    How would you rate European and American food in terms of taste, quality and price?

    • @OurStorytoTell
      @OurStorytoTell  Před rokem

      Good question! European food quality wins for sure!! It depends on the specific food item, but overall the taste is far better (& probably much to the quality)! Also price in Germany is cheaper than in the states, but also depends on where you go! Bush tourist places it is comparable. 😊

    Mallorca is on the one hand very popular with the Germans, but on the other hand very negatively assessed.Personally, I don't like mass tourism, and I hate how bad many Germans and Brits behave on this island.Countless of them travel there especially to drink until a coma.Since I know places that are no less beautiful, but are spared from such people.
