It's Mike with sixpackshortcuts, and today my buddies Robert, Eric, and Andrew are going to tell us what it really takes to gain massive size. We're going to discuss the different ways you can eat and train to go from looking skinny to looking super sized.
And check out the hilarious "whole" food that Eric eats to build his massive frame.

0:47 **Healthy way of eating for size:
The healthy to pack on size is by eating 5 - 6 meals a day that is loaded with a lot of proteins, and with limited carbs.
Here are some healthy proteins you can use:
- Tilapia: Very high in proteins and very low in fat.
- Lean beef: Great for packing on muscle and size.
1:47 **Eric's not so healthy way to pack on size.
Eric pretty much just eats everything in sight, but check out the video to find out the whole foods he enjoys eating to pack on size. Well, I thought it was funny. :)
Here's one weird tip that these guys told me, "Drink a gallon of chocolate milk a day". This would ensure you to pack on enormous size and strength. Wow.
2:24 **Final and most important tip: You have to lift and train hard. It doesn't matter what diet you're on, if you're not lifting you're not going to build muscle.

Oreos and a half a gallon of whole chocolate milk a day, plus other meals, got me from 198lbs to 217 quick. Strength was through the roof too but felt like shit all the time. Wouldn't recommend it. Now 207lbs leaner stronger and feel a lot better. It's tough to eat clean and gain weight, but it's worth it imo.

What i do is.. i take 10-15 beard hair and a braid them until i have a full braided bread,after i attach 5lbs weight on each braid, and i just go onmy normal work out. i also add weight on my wrist and feet

There seems to be alot of igonrance here, when training for strength it just doesnt matter what you look like its all about building as much strength and muscle as is humanly possible and to do that you need to eat big and train heavy.
If you want to be a pretty boy then take up body building, strongman is a completely different discipline entirely. Body builders whilst having some strength all pale into insignificance compared to a strongman, body building is all about asthetics, strongman is about absolute strength by any means possible.

You have got to be the dumbest person ever. Robert oberst (the guy in the red) can log press over 500 pounds... Abs have very little to do with strength. Most people squatting over 1,000 are fat thats just how it works

That's not what Mike Chang says, he says those guys are fat becaise they don't use his patented afterburn program, if they did, they would have abs like Mike Chang and be even stronger! Trust me, I have been training with Mike Chang for years. He's a breath of fresh air in the strength game because he uses ancient Chinese secrets.
If they used his stupid program and it worked they would lose weight. When you lose weight you lose strength. The goal for these guys is to be as strong as possible whether they have abs or not. I would way rather take advice from a WORLDS STRONGEST MAN like Robert Oberst than a normal guy with good aesthetics

Tilapia is farm raised, not entirely clean, and is an extremely low quality fish meat. Tuna has more protein and is much higher quality. Tilapia won't make you mad as a hatter though. Tuna will.

When I was in high school I was pretty skinny. I gained 40 pounds by eating dinner, then doing my workout (benching, curls, leg curls, etc..) followed by drinking a large ice cream milk shake. I went from 150 to 190 in a three month span. The weight was mostly positive & women definitely showed me more attention.

Many of these strongman athletes are naturally big guys. There's no amount of drugs or food that can change your genetics. That Asian guy on the video is a good example. He has a lot of muscle but he will always be a small guy because he can't change his frame and bone structure. These guys are from 6'2 to 6'8 tall and have mesomorphic body structures that allow them to become as big as houses. It's mostly genetics.
What gym is this? I moved to NOLA 6 months ago, and I'm moving more into the city (Uptown) in a week and need a new gym

Interesting to see where these young men will be in 20-30 years. I often think gaining too much size can be hard on the cardiovascular system and heart...even if you are an athlete.
Marc Gervais Hafpor Bjornsson is one of the strongest guys that have ever lived and I mean like 2nd or 3rd and he is lean. And he has abs now, he was also bulky af when he was beginner strongmen, but now he got his diet really clean and has all his abs showing. These guys just don't care because it's not about appearance then about strength.
BiMiHi Yes I know BiMiHi. However, there have been studies done on large athletes...they don't usually do very well after 50. They usually end up with cardiovascular disease. This is something I looked into because I suffer from this. Also, genetics plays the biggest role of course.
Marc Gervais true but you can't blame it all on the genetics. Many people underestimate running, also I believe this guys, It does real miracles to your whole body, good for your mind, for your breathing, heart, relieves from stress. I bet these guys didn't run a mile in their whole life and with processed food it ends up in cardiovascular disease. I saw a movie couple years back about a czech olympic lifter, he was in his 70's and he was lean, he walked a lot and eating clean, He went to some amateur competition and he lifted 90 kg's (clean and jerk).
I will say this about Robert Oberst (the one with the magnificent beard). He does have a regular cardio routine, and keeps tabs on his health with his doctor's assistance. Still, though. Being big can and most likely will result in poorer health as you age. Strongman is a young man's game.

Keep in mind, these guys are heavyweight pro strongmen. The guy in the red shirt is the monstrous Robert Oberst, who has the American log press record at America's Strongest Man. These guys know a lot about eating and training for size and power. Unlike many viewers (e.g. the two of you), they are not about 'looks' or 'gym-lifting' strength. They don't do 90-lb dumbell curls and stack the pulldown machine to prove their 'strength', they flip 1200-lb tires and deadlift cars for reps in contests.

Because their workout mainly focuses on Core, Strength and Muscles gain. The same goes for diet, meaning their diet is mainly for Mass.

Actually, you are right, power lifters and body builders are different breeds entirely. These guys don't have to worry about body fat percentage, the bottom line is how much weight they can lift. Totally different focus. I like to balance both. Right now, I'm on a fitness and weight loss challenge which I'm sharing here on CZcams. I'm just a normal guy, these guys are in a totally different class.
