I got the same pec tear. I was probably dehydrated as well. Nothing was off, otherwise: eating well and much, sleeping plenty, didn’t do as big of a jump in weight as I have done in the past. It’s nice to have a possible explanation, because sometimes I fear tearing something else.
The same thing happened to me with a similar seated overhead press rack. Getting it off the rack from that position destroys your bicep and not in a good way. I learned my lesson and now I take it from a near full extension at the top, similar idea to a bench press. Imagine starting a bench from the bottom of the rep. It would suck
Drank 2 litres or cranberry juice. Got not 1 but 3 clean reps with 50kg dumbells on flat bench press. Been working towards 1 rep for like 4 months. Who knew all I needed was cranberry juice 😂 cheers Eddie
Hey Eddie, I believe I heard you say once that you tore your labrum in the past. Could you speak to how you got back enough stability to train heavy overhead lifts? I tore mine 10 years ago and have avoided overhead barbell stuff ever since.
