War Machine just straight up cut a drone in half using bullets. That's super badass.

@@THERANDOMMAN91Hell yeah! Our boi War Machine is not playing these games lol He to me. Is more frightening to me than Iron man

0:50 HE HE HYO War Machine go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR GOD DAEUM 😆😆😆😆.
Don’t forget in Captain America Civil War when he stripped a bus to just the front end using nothing but a fuck ton of bullets
You know the best part about the drone fight? It was choreographed by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of Samurai Jack, which also used the same “machine oil replacing blood” trope a lot. It’s so awesome seeing his creative thumbprint in live actions films.
Does he have any other live action work like this?
No fuckin way that's dope. Genndy is a legend
more than Samurai Jack. Tartakovsky did work for CN for multiple years. one of his earlier projects was Dexter's Lab
For real? That would explain why this is a stand out action scene in the MCU.
The "oil for blood" trope was also heavily used in mecha anine.
The CGI here is better than the last 5 films Disney has produced
Totally agree
Yeah. They just don’t make CGI like they used to.
They should really stop overtaxing their workers

@@blackdwarfstar1246More like underpaying them.
This fight was so tight. This is probably like the only time where the background elevated the scene during the fight because of how memorable it is. All the cherry blossoms falling really added to it.
I thought it was rushed, the drones were weak and useless and Whiplash gets destroyed in 20 seconds.
@@legobrickabrac yea u right that whiplash is a lame ass villain and the pacing is weird. Especially where whiplash just stared at him for like 5 minutes suiting up.I just enjoy the composition of the Sakura trees with Ironman
@@SnowCompanion The ending seemed super rushed and apparently the actor playing Whiplash was agree about how much of his scenes where cut out. It looks like they just cut everything out at the end.
@legobrickabrac Still way better than Iron Man 3. Sure, the final battle could have been longer but what we got (even if short) was great. Quality over quantity 👌
@@Tipsy.42What's wrong with Iron Man 3? I really liked the final battle.
Maybe I'm just easily pleased by good action lol
Iron Man: "You see that?"
War Machine: "Yeah, yeah nice!"
Love how they're talking like co-op partners in an FPS game or something lmao
That’s actually a pretty cool detail. Kinda similar to War Machine and Falcon fighting together in Wakanda too

Fun fact: ivan managed to make the first fully retractable helmet in a suit while tony was able to incorporate the fully retractable helmet in his suit years later in his mk 46
There is a lot more room for larger pieces to be hidden in the Whiplash armor. Tony had to figure out how to break it into smaller pieces and hide it or a smaller suit and still be functional. Makes sense that it takes longer.
Good catch!
It’s also clever to have retractable electric whips
Funny how I actually realized the same about one minute before I saw this comment.

0:50 was so loud in theaters, I remember looking around and some people were covering their ears and smiling. I wish marvel would go back to these days.
It's so interesting how this movie was talked about as a disappointment, but honestly it's still a solid movie in comparison to what Marvel is doing now. I love all the details here, one I've always loved is how the sounds of the drones landing turns into the score. It really builds nicely.
Its definitely becoming more and more noticeable because at the very least Iron man 2 didn't have a great plot over all it had incredible characters along with great visuals and that alone can lead to enjoyable movie compared to MCU today
They said the same thing about Thor: The Dark World and look at Marvel now, makes Dark World look like a masterpiece.
It's aged well, for sure.
It is a mediocre movie, some parts are decent, the overall product is not great. However, this one is watchable, compared to IM3 or newer MCU movies...
Second best scene from this movie! The action is just incredible and probably one of the most badass scenes in the entire MCU!

This was the best scene in the movie, I’ve replayed it so many times once the BluRsy came out. No background music, just bullets, explosions & machine noises. Great CGI, & a cool set. The whole movie was a slow buildup to what War Machines suit could really do, & if you knew him from the comics it was exciting as hell to see his shoulder mounted Gatling gun. I’ve got an issue of Iron Man #291 (1993) and to me this was that cover come to life! Unfortunately I feel War Machine is vastly underusedin the MCU outside this scene, & call me crazy but I would have loved to see Terrance Howard continue the role. I felt their vibe more & he actually looks like the comic Rhodey

i love Iron Man and War Machine
I still don't understand why people dislike this movie. I love it as much as the first one!
I love how the aesthetics of each suit are different; Tony's suit has all the flair, flourish, and slickness of an elegant "consumer" product; it's all smooth curves, stylish HUDs, and creative weaponry. Meanwhile, Rhodey's suit is all utilitarian, since it's been modded by the US military and Hammer; it's all hard lines and edges, with a simplified, straightforward HUD. While the mods put on top of the Mark 2 are no doubt expensive as hell, it's still the US military we're talking about, which means they're not spending money on unnecessary wacky stuff like Tony does with his suits; it pretty much just has a bunch of pre-existing military-grade weaponry welded on, and hooked up to function with the suit. There's no risky, experimental energy weapons, aside from the pre-existing repulsors in the hands; it goes with cheap, easily-available bullets.
Even in the most recent iterations of the armor, such as that seen in Avengers Endgame, those design principles have still mostly stuck with the War Machine, despite the suit at that point being funded/designed by Stark personally.
Why has the cgi aged better than many recent movies? Genuine question
Because back in the day CGI was meant to assist the image, not generate it.
@@elementxxrider Back then also we got qualified people on their works not some rainbow "people"
