@Tyler Vincent I honestly disagree, the events were better suited to Martins and in my opinion a healthy Thor would have lost by a smaller margin. Martins injured still beat Thor in 2 events at the recent Arnold's

Mariusz Pudzainowski had abs and won 5 titles. More than anybody.
While all the top strongmen were split across 2 organizations.
however, nowadays the competitors manage to raise Mariuz's records plus Mariuz himself on top of them.
He also got spanked by Big Z once the organizations combined again, and nearly lost to rookie Brian Shaw. He was a total beast, but i wouldn't call him the GOAT

If you are too injured to win, you lost plain and simple. There is no but. Because managing your injuries is very much a competitive part of the sport. Martins destroyed everyone on Wheel of pain at arnolds, and got 2nd there. While Brian was not even top 5. Martins is legit strong, but I think his secret weapon is intelligence and humility.

Lifting cars....we’ve all been there man
They beat any bodybuilder in any strength competition. These guys have functional muscles, not pumped up pillows.
Strongmen compete for strength,
Bodybuilders Build their bodies, which includes aesthetics.
This is one of the reasons why I got interested in watching the competitions and following some of these guys, they don’t look it but they’re actually some of the nicest and genuine guys you’ll see.
I LOVE these. It shows that these Strongmen have a great sense of humor.

Yea there has been a legit shift in strong men who also train athleticism and try to avoid being overly fat. They figured out the little bit of raw strength they sacrifice is more than made up for with the boost in speed endurance and ability to recover
