    Hey man,
    In today's episode, we're going to talk about one of the most popular diets out there...THE PALEO DIET. I'm going to show you why I think the Paleo diet SUCKS, and why I don't personally follow it. I'll also show you the much simpler diet system that I use instead to get lean and ripped -- and I'll show you how you can start using my diet system as well.
    This one is sure to ruffle the haters' feathers...lol.
    Before we get into it though, I want to make it clear that I actually think that the Paleo diet is one of the better "diets" out there. My own diet has a lot of similarities to the Paleo diet, and theoretically if someone COULD comply with the Paleo diet consistently they WOULD lose fat and maybe even gain a little bit of muscle. I've personally learned a lot about nutrition from people who follow a "Paleo" philosophy, and I think they have a lot of useful information to teach us.
    But the reason why I think the Paleo diet SUCKS is that its performance for average clients in the real world is atrocious. That's because many factors make the Paleo diet extremely difficult and inconvenient to follow. This leads to the vast majority of people who try and follow the Paleo diet failing, and gaining back MORE fat than they had originally.
    But don't worry...there is hope! And I'll show you exactly what to do instead of following the Paleo diet in this video.
    Here's the video breakdown:
    0:26 Paleo diet: With this diet, you are only allow to eat foods that can be either gathered or killed. This seems like a good idea since it eliminate about 90% of all carbs we're currently eating... but the problem is I love carbs. :)
    Another problem is that it doesn't tell you how to conveniently store or carry these foods for easy accessibility.
    Here are some examples of why this might not work.
    3:41 No time to cook: With school, work, and life... it can get tough
    5:05 Not efficient: What if you don't have these foods? What if you want to have drinks with friends. How long can you keep up a lifestyle you don't want to live.
    5:58 Healthy foods taste bad: It's tough to stick on a diet with so much taste restrictions.
    6:38 What I do now: I prepare 1 week's worth of meals with my eating system. They include the foods that I like to eat and I'm allow to have the freedom to look great and still live a normal life.
    7:25 My eating tricks to make foods taste great.
    - Coconut oil
    - Add sauces
    I hope this video has helped.
    And if you want to get ripped without eating diet foods, check out this video:
    sixpackshortcuts.com/rd3Y
    I've tried all types of diets to get rid of my belly fat, but they were all just so hard to follow. I hated diet foods, the hours of cooking, and worst of all... my belly fat looked the same. It wasn't until I discovered this one eating system that actually allowed me to eat the foods I love and finally got me the ripped body I've wanted for so long.
    In this video I show you exactly what this eating system is so that you can burn off your belly fat and get a ripped body like I finally did. Watch this video now:

      A. Schulz ^this, too many people go "oh i'm a hard gainer, i eat EVERYTHING and i don't gain weight, oh woe is me" truth is they also do massive amounts of cardio and think that their caloric intake from one binge meal a week is representative of what they eat daily. (it isn't) chances are that once they log all their foods for the day they're either at or below maintenance which also explains on why they don't gain muscle.

    • @TheHarmonyHub.
      @TheHarmonyHub. Před 9 lety

      Ec11223 Now I track eveything I eat with myfitnesspal. I've been eating 3150 kcal daily per the last 3 weeks and I've gained barely 1 pound of weight. I'm 5'11'' and 159 lbs. I workout 4 times a week and do no intense cardio, I don't want to lose weight, I only walk to college and other places. My basal metabolic rate is supossed to be 2700 kcal, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can't imagine eating more without wanting to puke

    • @Ec11223
      @Ec11223 Před 9 lety

      ice192x There are several reasons you're gaining so slow. first possibility is that your BMR is probably closer to 3000. adjust your diet accordingly and boom problem solved. second possibility is that the "walks" you take eat up more calories than you're expecting. third is that you might be tracking inadequately in which case try using a food scale for all your measurements and try not to eat out. one slice of pizza can be either 150 or 300 calories. the difference is huge.
      its like 3-4 spoons of peanut butter or two cups of milk if its the first one.

    • @Bankai90
      @Bankai90 Před 9 lety

      ice192x Tracking is the best way to start, a friend of mine is eating now 4k calories every day since 4 months tracked because he's serious about weightgain, he doesnt even care if gets fat with it, he's just too skinny in his opinion.
      In comparison im 173cm and weight 75kg, when I diet I eat around 2500kcal. When I'm under 2.7 I lose weight. So when u're 180cm high it is very likely with a good metabolism that you need 3k+ just not to lose weight. Maybe like 3,3 to keep and 3,6 to gain.
      Some nuts here and there and aswell starting your day with shitloads of carbs is a good way to go. Remember you want to gain kcal, you are allowed to add some sauce here and there and eat those icecream and chocolate bars if you want to.

    I love how you get your message across and how you keep things practical and realistic. BUT, I`ll have to disagree on one point and one point only: healthy food DOES taste good :P You have to put some effort and creativity while preparing it, but you can make it taste good by adding some seasoning like garlic, onions, herbs and all kinds of natural seasoning. It takes longer than just throwing a chicken breast in the microwave (hehe), but it sure educates your taste, and ultimately, it gradually develops and new concept of healthy food. Your videos are in my top-five-all-time-youtube-videos ;) Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!

      I agree, and I would add that taste is different for each person. One person will like something that another doesn't, which is why we also use the word "taste" to refer to things like personal style. :) Since childhood, I always liked things that people often call bad tasting because it's "health food". Carrots were among my favorite crunchy things to munch on, haha . :D

      I believe it has to do with where you live and whom you accompany it doesn't matter what path you choose if you don't follow it. It doesn't matter how you think if you end up doing the opposite of what you believe in.

    I think no one is 100% sure yet about the effects of excess intake but recent studies are suggesting a link between higher protein intake and reduced longevity.
    I'll go take a look your videos. Again Thanks! :)

    What I do is eat as healthy as I can when I have more control over it, so that when a situation comes where the food that's there isn't that healthy, it's not as big of a deal. I also work with what I have, meaning instead of just getting the pepperoni pizza at my school (I try to avoid pork), I'll have a roasted veggie pizza, with a carton of milk, and then a cup or two of veggies and a fruit from the salad bar. Same concept that Mike is talking about; making it fit into your lifestyle.

    It doesn't matter what you eat. If you have a calorie surplus your body will store the excess food as fat and you will gain weight. Calorie deficit and you will lose weight.

    Quick question SPS: do you think it matter over the course of a 3 month program if I only drink protein shakes after I work out as opposed to before and after? I workout early and can't do it with food in my stomach.
