- What made me an Assassin's Creed fan was the great movie-like cinematic experience. And these phenomenal characters were brought to life by remarkably talented actors. There were many awesome cutscenes in the AC franchise. These are my favorites.
- Hry
I love the immediate shift from "ANGRY DEVIL" to "Course it does" lol
One of my favorite and definitely more memorable cutscenes lmao, and also when black-beard dies and delivers the line "IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOLD, WE MIGHT HAVE BEEN HEROS"
That actually caught me off guard.
I used the appear to be the devil quote in an explanation in my ELA class and the teacher loved it, assassins creed black flag never flails to be one of my favorite games
It shows how clever Thatch was, how much he understood showmanship and leaving an impression. It's why he's remembered so well despite having such a short period of infamy.
Looks fine
"In a world without gold we might've been heroes."
Love that quote so much
This is one of the best quotes in gaming history. Has so much wisdom in it.
when i was a kid and heard blackbeard say these line i think its only a last word of him, but my age getting older and that word feel different
As far as last words go, they're probably the best in the series besides Torres'.

kinda mad how the entire plot of rogue could have changed if instead of ignoring every word out of shay's mouth they just had a conversation
This is sadly the case with so many great conflicts in the world.
There's also some wrong in Shay's part calmly explained them everything I'm sure they would have listened.
@@user-xh2mv2su1jwhat part of the "you are meddling with dangerous machines" and "the city fell apart" is so hard to understand?
Well he could have tried to explain them that they r wrong 😁
Most of the assassins sadly suffer from comprehension problems

The way Cesare Borgia's voice breaks a little when he's defending his actions is amazing! I don't understand why the later games lean so heavily into hiding the main villains face behind a mask every single time. Giving them a face and a personality is so much more engaging
i'd rather have the mask so i don't have to see the awful procedural animation system they're for some reason so hellbent on using, even though it looks like shit in all the games it's used in. like i'd say most of the voice acting in odyssey and valhalla (haven't played mirage) is pretty good, but the stiff, repetitive, and unexpressive body and facial animations alongside the terrible lip sync can and will ruin any cutscene immediately. legitimately some of the worst animations i've seen in a triple-a game
sorry for the rant i just hate that shit
@miniops12 Origins had good voice acting. Look up "I AM BAYEK OF SIWA"
@@twinzzlers yeah, that's why i didn't mention origins...
...and hard. You see, big companies don't want to work on these things anymore, it is hard work. Just give them your money. GIVE.
@@miniops12 Why not? That scene was amazing
3:47 Man to this day this cutscene still breaks me, knoowing context of the novels makes this sadder Thatch was more of a father to Edward than his actual one that disowned him.
That scene barely has any words yet it hits the hardest...
granted, Edward is the one who disowned his family, not the other way around
@@manbat4582 I mean, the last thing his father ever did for him was call him poison and tell him to leave. Then his mom was like "you didn't even send a letter".
I mean, that sounded worse for her than hearing about Edward being a pirate.
novels?
@@FirstNameLastName-wv2iz there's a novel series. They vary a bit on the narration style (some are diaries, some are third person narration etc.) and only focus on the ancestor, no animus involved. Each novel focuses on a game, but the story itself doesn't follow the game step-by-step. For instance, the Assassin's Creed 3 novel, Assassin's Creed Forsaken, follows Haytham's POV from his childhood with Edward until Haytham's death, as his personal diary.
I'd heartily recommend reading at least until Black Flag; I don't remember the others, but they're probably good, too!
You know these cutscenes are great when you can’t pick which one is the best 🔥
The actors are crazy talented.

@@kevinkommtspielen3164sadly true
Blackbeard's lines are genuinely amazing writing.
Did he say "in a world without gold, we might have been heroes"? because that shit is brilliant
Yeah, that's the line. You'll see it around often when people talk about Black Flag.
"in a world without gold, we might have been heroes"
Shay's voice actor really tried to sell the game. He went to comic con to talk about AC Rogue with a I love AC Rogue on it when the company wouldn't advertise it.
Ezio's Speech in AC2 (Bonfire of the Vanities DLC) still remains the best speech and best voice acting in an AC game imo.
Say what you want about Origins (I enjoyed it) but Bayek has some top notch delivery of many ranges, from soft and subtle, to distraught, rageful and cheery. I love the work put into him by his actor!
@@dignusdingus3709origins was great it was odyssey and valhalla that were the problem. origins was an rpg but its stellar characters and story carried it (i mean personally i loved valhalla and odyssey but eh)

"You threw in with the VERY PEOPLE WE HATED!" is one of my favorite Edward deliveries.
The voice actor for bayek in origins will always give me shivers with how you can feel his anger and vengeance as he assassinates the order that was involved with his sons death
He had some good moments, but his writing still left a lot to be desired in my opinion
I like his voice when he's debating with The Hyena.

I truly missed and love the old AC games. they are filled with passion, life, true emotion, and gameplay from actors and actresses. shame that Ubisoft killed all of that in the new ac series and pitty that we will never have any chances to see those ever again.
Well. I guess it's time to find a new story. Explore grassroots, look beyond the norms. I think history is repeating itself right now with videogame prices increasing near the 100$ mark, and more niche things are being sought out, in a time parallel to when videogames were just being a new niche fad for the few.
@@dawsondebell1603AC will not get better if Ubisoft will not change. And Ubisoft will never change with the current CEO, who is a delusional idiot who only cares about money and chasing the latest trend.
Hope isn't over as long as they still produce. Alone this year over heard there a few new ones and a remakes to come. And honestly, I'm hyped
That first cutscene absolutely got me heated when everyone refused to listen to the Protagonist as if he was crazy. Not an Assassin's Creed fan, but I felt that passion as he did
The scene, where Edward remenisce the images of all his dead comrades enjoying at a table having drinks and laughs is just.
😔
They used to have such fantastic voice actors in these games. And now you listen to Mirage's cutscenes and.. well...

2:03 Ubisoft when fans beg them to truly go back to AC's roots.
Ubisoft will cease to exist before we get to 2030
“Well don’t just sit there like a barrel of fish we’re celebrating MY RETIREMENT!!!!” Love how excited Blackbeard is when he says that
The way Blackbeard says, "Of course it does." at 3:04, after giving the speech that he did the way he did, was awesomely funny XD.
I've played all these AC games but the best scenes for me is when Thatch died which made me sad and angry that I want to seek revenge just like when you get betrayed by Shepherd in original CoD MW2
Mike Bonner KILLED it as Blackbeard
Gotta be honest with you, the only time guards in AC Black Flag were actually a challenge, was in this cutscene: 4:00
KENWAYYYYYY!!!!! IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOLD.. WE MIGH'VE BEEN HEROS
"In a world without gold, we might've been heroes." No words cand escribe how hard that hit me when I heard it for the first time.
Course it does 3:04
2:14 ok that quote was pretty awesome thought 10/10 writing.
Greatly appreciate the past tense of the description
There were some great cutscenes in AC 3 as well.
The scene where Connor finally kills Charles Lee is an excellent example of "show, don't tell" in video game cutscenes.
Remember this! It was so good! I had zero expectations but it turned into a favorite!
1:00 when I go to the supermarket with my mom to buy candy lol

It's the first time I see that last scene with Ed. Thatch in English. And oh boy... I''m... crying...
cesare was known as the master deciever
i got emotional towards him before he knew about the poisened apple but i was shocked after he showed his true colours
that is some real acting
Imo black flag and unity had best cutscene quality among all ACs
Origins deserves more appreciation for the cutscenes as well
Mirage was a step in the right direction but Ubi need better writers. Plot was what made the classics so great

These were the good ones. The best ones. Awesome games, great experiences. I miss them.
That Blackbeard scene hits me everytime. I replayed that mission so many times bruh
in brotherhood one you could hear the emotions so much
It is always a treat listening to Thatch
The characters from Assassin’s Creed BlackFlag will always have a special part in my heart
I’m really glad I played rouge, never played when it came out and finally did a while back. I was super impressed
the blackbeard scene is too perfect
I was just a kid wanting to play a cool period themed hack and slash game, assassinating mofos in the shadows with my drippy outfits.
I couldnt appreciate the art of the story and the voice acting for what it was at the time. Adult me should definitely relive these memories, starting with the first Altairs game.
Assassin’s creed 4 to this day is still my favorite assassins creed wonder voice acting and animations and just the overall fun experience.
I thought the title was ironic, but it's accurate, this is pretty good
Balck flag will always be my favorite AC game
These moments were the peak of assassins creed
Black Beard: Of course it does👍
this is why even though these games are old, they are still have the best traits in them that even some of the other games didn't have
Love how thatch goes from "the literal demon in voice" to the most normal voice ive ever heard
2:31 such bright pearly teeth for a Pirate.
Such nostalgia from back when AC games were great. They're fine now but I haven't even been able to finish the last 3 made
GIMME THESE OLD CUTSCENES BACK
I live in Russia and Russian is my native language, but when it comes to Assassins Creed, I've been doing original English voice acting for 10 years now, because dubbing speech can't even come close to this charisma. And even though English is not my native language, I feel its sound in games more strongly than Russian. Always an amazing cast and a lot of effort is invested in working on the voice acting.
The Russian dubbing is very expressive and diverse. Not always, of course, but nevertheless, I would say that the dubbing school in Russia is at a high level.
In a world without gold, we might've been heroes - Black beard
This is the best I heard. :_)
3:15 I love Uberto's voice feeling exposed after the documents were mentioned and he tried to hide it
1:00 Rodrigo's deadpan delivery wil never fail to deliver in making me lol
This compilation has more detailed facial animations than the recent and the previous titles after Syndicate.
now we get * oh thankyou Misthios* *Consider it done*
Every now and then i think about AC IV: Black Flag and i feel like i can hear with my very ears "YOU LEFT, WHEN I NEEDED YOU THE MOST"
Ac brotherhood and ac 2 in Italian are masterpieces.
Matt Ryan was absolutely fantastic as Edward Kenway really made the character 3 dimensional. I feel like that game got him the role of John Constantine which he made his own and had become the definitive portrayal of John Constantine for many people.
Ezio screaming "Father" always hit the heartstrings
"In a world without gold, we might have been heroes!"
Damn whatever happened to this kind of writing...
For everyone, i recommend hearing the black beard voice line in German. This is next level voice acting.
Favourite 2 AC games AC brotherhood and AC Black Flag
My parents both asked what movie I was watching but I was playing AC3 😂
They look like movies tbh 😅
when ubisoft used to make stories and not checklists, man i missed this days
man when blackbeard died broke my heart
ezio yelling father still gives me chills
Dang I've never finished this game and now I see that I need to.
The ezio games had some of the best cutscenes/voice acting in the whole ac series, imo... i went back and played them a week ago couldnt beleive it, and ive played ALL the ac games
Black Flag will forever be the best AC game ever created.
I always loved how trusting and dependable Blackbeard found Edward. Not because he saw Edward as a lapdog... He knew Edward can get shit done.
the problem is, the models and animation dont follow the magnitute of the voice
It’s better than in later games honestly. In Mirage they all look so lifeless. I swear in a couple cutscenes basims mouth didn’t even move when he talked
Considering the age of these games? They did really well, for their era. At the very least, the models portrayed their expressions a lot better than newer AC titles IMO.

Blackbeards death actually fuckin hurt as a kid 😂 i remember going on a crusade for every redcoat i saw in honor of him
im suprised you didn't include cesare's whole "if I take, I take, if I live, I live, If I want you to die, YOU DIE!!!" tirade
For each scene I forgot I was supposed to be evaluating the voice acting and instead got swept up in the scene and invested in it
Good sound design too. Well for a Ubisoft title anyway. Notice how Gonfaloniere Uberto's voice projects and reverberates in the town square while back to Shay arguing to Achilles in that small room there is no reverb. The original Assassin's creed had only semi good voice acting but the sound design was incredible.
I love how ubisoft respected the durability of Blackbeard, not being killed by one shot or one hit but my multiple. As it was said that it took 30 something cuts and 5 bullets to finally kill Blackbeard. Of course that may of been fiction but still epic as hell.
one of my favs assassin's creed (Rogue) , not counting the Ezio ones.
I was not prepared to see Blackbeard's death once again...
When I saw this title on an AC video I thought it was a joke, but I guess people actually think that
Not only acting but even the cutscenes and the facial expressions are filled with emotions.. Better than odyssey, valhalla and mirage combined
For me its the" Why dont you leave me alone, i can do this"
Check out the german version of black beard in ac black flag thats insane good.
