    As an engineer, I really appreciate the Agenda section of the video and your methodology. Also, totally agree with your view of 3D printers as tools; it's nice when the tools that support your making "just work."

    Just got this printer yesterday and never messed with 3d printing before. I had the bunny printing within 25 mins and it printed flawlessly. I was expecting it to be a melted glob of plastic. I instantly fell in love with 3d printing and this printer!

    I just got this printer and am very happy with it. It's the first 3d printer I've used. I say used and not bought because I first ordered a printer from another brand and that one didnt even work, and was a pain to assemble and disassemble (several screws became stripped immediately).
    Still working out which settings are best for my specific printer, but it's working like a dream out of the box.

    Interesting presentation and very non-condescending to beginner printers. As a Porsche factory race mechanic, I see unlimited application for this technology. We can use "printed" part designs in test environments before spending tens of thousands of USD on metal alloy forged parts (in gas volume testes and many others - etc.) so this was a most informative vid. Thanks to all involved.

    The adhesion issue with the matte PLA might have been too much cooling as well, basically the filament gets cooled down before it has the chance to fuse with the previous layer completely. I assume you printed it again with the same exact settings so the type of PLA clearly matters but I think it should be possible to print the same thing with the cooling lowered down using the nice matte black PLA as well.

    After at least of 1000 hours on my ender 3 v2 neo I can tell you this printer is worth every penny, but if you are new to the whole game make sure you read enough to understand issues that may occur and how to solve them as well as how to diagnose them! I am on facebook groups for different brands and models of 3d printers even top notch branded groups post tons of issues i see and i know how to solve them but yet my cheaper ender 3 v2 does the job because i went trough building my own printers back in the day when they were expensive..... what i am trying to say is that i see people buying creality printers for 500 bucks and having daily issues and they blame the printer but its not the printer its mostly their lack of knowledge..... although price is nearly something you would spend over night in pub..... comment if you need any help i would always help

    Basic question. Why is bed leveling important? Doesn't an unlevel bed simply create a unlevel bottom to the model?

    • @ElevatedSystems
      @ElevatedSystems  Před rokem

      Mostly it is about proper adhesion but worst case it can lead to a complete failed print. The larger the print or the more bed surface area the model takes up the more likely you will run into problems. Example, If you are printing .15mm layer heights and one side of the printer is .15mm or more higher than another side your layers will not adhere properly, and you end up with spaghetti.

    • @ElevatedSystems
      @ElevatedSystems  Před rokem +27

      The bed and print head by function continually heat and cool which causes expansion and contraction in the metal components. Leveling ensures the micro-millimeter tolerances required are maintained. Manufactures can't change the laws of physics.
