- Metal Max Xeno Reborn is an absurd game, but it’s one with a lot of good ideas that ultimately work out, even if the cost of these ideas were a lack of general polish. The tank would undoubtedly feel better to control on a keyboard-mouse combo rather than a controller, at least in combat, and scaled-up PS Vita textures might not be the prettiest look.
Metal Max Xeno Reborn is, however, saved thanks to its competent combat, a sincere attempt at telling a story that tries to have depth, interesting side characters, and surprisingly-fun optional bosses. And it has a dog that can use guns. - Hry

Played this on normal untill it got grindy then to easy and had a lot more fun as I rampaged across the land. School bus with super weapons for the win

It is the same franchise: Metal Max, going back to the days of the NES. One of the longest running JRPGs in history. I think of it as Dragon Quest - with tanks.
It looks like a mobile app game. That gotten remaster and released it on a console.

Agree with this. The battle controls and interface are terrible compared to the original game. That had fast action and excellent menus. It's a much better game than this...

and seriously, they should at least TRY to adapt it with keyboard and mouse in PC version ...
They gutted the story in this one due to people not liking the inherent gender dynamics of a "last woman" post apocalyptic world. They cut tons on scenes, music, bounties, and other content. This version is trash. Both versions are on PS4, so just skip this one and play the original.
Unfortunately they pulled the original from the Playstation store so most people now won't get the chance to play it unless they can shell out for a rare physical copy.

My god such a bad game. And this is the Reborn version. Normally this should have been the definitive edition. So you think. But the PS4 Version "Metal Max Xeno" is the better game. In Reborn there is so much wrong, especially the PC version. You better Emulate the Switch version to have a better gaming experience with less bugs and craps... or even better, don't bother at all.
This franchise has so much potential. Yet the devs. treat this like a piss poor mobile game. Doesn't matter if its a "small" studio or not. This as an end product is unacceptable!
Go play the SNES, DS and PS2 Versions of the Metal Max games. Do not pay money for MM Xeno Reborn.
