I am not a football game fan, but I loved sensible soccer. I played it back in the day, and to play it on the evercade is just great. Also Cannon Fodder...these two games alone made me want to buy this colledtion
I love football now, but I wasn't into it at all as a kid, and absolutely loved Sensible Soccer. I've never seen George Weah play, but he'll always be my favourite AC Milan player
@@thegamesapprentice I tend to play the custom teams. Like old dears menu, or R U A coder. I liked all the silly teams, but they game itself was just really fun.
Haha, my wife told me I should remove that line because it was too insulting, but if you've managed to convince 3 friends to play a retro 4 player game, your not going to waste that opportunity on Super Skidmarks. That's when N64 gets dusted off
It's the music: Codemasters will "live forever" because of the music -but very few people alive today can appreciate the gameplay in even their best projects. Even Linus Spacehead: the soundtrack is worth remembering, although the game is not.
@7:57 You're supposed to be motivated to try again _by the music!_ Some aspects *Ultimate Stuntman* are in that "so bad it's good" category, including the cover art (that I may or may not have printed out as a poster on my wall _right now)…_ but c'mon, the soundtrack is unironically amazing!
I kind of wish Bitmap followed more of this. They certainly had the heavy hitters with Speedball 2 and the Chaos Engine but it would have been nice to have even some variety (and just more games) to go with it.

I did enjoy the Linus Spacehead music at first, but when you have to keep hearing it start over death after death it starts to grate a bit.

Yea I think I'd happily watch someone else play through it who'd mastered the horrible gameplay
