    I don't mind a 720p resolution but damn Switch version looks rough with no AA. For a game this old devs definitely didn't do a particularly good port for the Switch.

    @0:19 I know it's probably time of day difference or sth but switch, while having low resolution, has way better lighting and depth in this scene than others

    • @ajgamingcomparisons
      @ajgamingcomparisons  Před 2 lety +2

      Thought the same, all three are a freshly loaded new game on that scene though but there could be an off-set to the time of day for Switch version.

      @@ajgamingcomparisons From what I understand the switch and PC versions are touched up versions of PS4 version but that wouldn't explain Switch looking fuller in that shot so maybe as You said there are some minor details changed just for the switch. Im buying the switch one either way, I like the PS3 vibe it has. Thanks for the comparison

      As a followup - I've bought the switch one and I absolutely love it. It looks fine, it runs mostly fine (although that unlocked framerate do be dippin with a lot of flashlights and for some reason in the iron base's hallway - weird) and the game itself cranks up like a rocket engine. It's fairly quaint at the start but after a while you're basically a demigod shooting "All of the random bullshit" at the enemies gundam style. Game's great. If somebody's pedantic about looks and performance then maybe Switch version is not for them but I love how it shimmers and gives the environments this skungy, grundgy feeling - aliasing adds to the presentation in this case IMO. Also there's pettable dog so it's goty contender

      Cool stuff! I think it is great on Switch for this type of gameplay- quite addictive for me personally. Hope you enjoy, take care!

    hello is the ps4 you tested on a regular ps4 or a ps4 pro? and a test of the switch in handheld mode would have been nice, or is it simply too much effort? but still great video thanks for that i'm sorry i'm from germany and my english is really bad so i had to use the google translator for this text😅🙈

      Hi there! This was standard PS4, all consoles get there own label to make it easier in the video's - if I use PS4 Pro you'll see that right away. So I guess I could mention the resolution of the game in handheld mode by starting the game and docking after it. Not sure if performance/fps test would be accurate/reliable since the device needs to be docker for that and it could potentially draw more power for performance. Still working out that part tbh. Translator is perfectly fine, I use it all the time - no worries. Take care.

    It looks like the emulated switch version will be the best since you can force 4k, pc is limited to 1080p.

    Are these handheld switch shots? How is docked mode? 1080p?

      The video description said the switch version gets 720p when docked, so I'll assume all the footage here is from the docked version.

    I'm guessing the frames are locked for the ps4 version on ps5?

      It is paid though (Epidemic Sound) but many songs there sound (a bit) generic - I agree. This is the sound: www.epidemicsound.com/track/9mqtFth73p/

    Why is the Switch being included in console comparisons. The Switch will always be far inferior.

    • @ajgamingcomparisons
      @ajgamingcomparisons  Před 2 lety +6

      For me there is no winner of looser tbh. It is just showing how it would look/run on your system if you're interested in the game. The game is available for Switch, PS4 and PC - therefore all three versions in the video. And honestly if we look at power credits and consumption - is it really inferior?

      It’s a nice way for people with both consoles to see how the switch version stacks up against the others and if the portability is worth it.

      For people that own switch and ps4/5 this is a necessity. Spending hard earned cash on a terrible port is a bad feeling.
