    Once again, I enjoyed filming this workout and using my Pilates Bar. The focus of this video is legs and glutes and by the end of the session I can honestly say I could feel the work I had put in, in those very areas.
    The Pilates bar once again added challenge and a deeper connection. Your muscles will get fatigued which could then affect your posture, so please listen to my cues and at any point you can rest or put down the bar and continue the exercises without the bar.
    I’d love to know how you get on and look forward to reading your comments and requests for what you would like next.
    Enjoy, enjoy enjoy 😉
    Remember we are not looking for perfection, progress is our aim 👍💪👍💪👍💪👍 x

    I love your pace and how you remind us to check in with how our body is reacting and what we can do to properly support the movement. I feel invigorated and alive! Would love more upper body for injured shoulder if you have anything like that 😊

    I purchased a Pilates bar because I wanted to try a reformer type of exercise. Your workouts are by far the best! Well explained and very supportive. Thank you Donna, I have enjoyed working out everyday with you and have noticed a difference in my posture, strength and I feel really good.

    Recovering from knee replacement surgery and now at the stage where I start to focus on strengthening both legs post surgery (3 1/2 months now). That session felt good, 1st time putting weight on new knee. Feeling a good burn. Thanks very much, looking forward to more.

    Lovely workout ❤ I'm 55 and in dire need of pilates. My body can't stand the impact of HIIT anymore and I've lost a lot of muscle. Thank you for making these videos available. My inner thighs need a lot of work. Can you come up with comprehensive videos to develop the muscle of the inner thighs? 🙏

    Just did this one and of course, I love it!
    I have a question 🤔 whilst doing the squat with a lateral raise, I felt that my bar was tilting since the weight was off the raising leg, I pushed down a bit on the bar to give myself better balance and not lean towards my opposite side, is that alright?

    Great work out, I feel like I’m struggling with opening my hip when raising my leg out to the side while standing. Any recommendations?

    • @PilateswithDonnaFinnie
      @PilateswithDonnaFinnie  Před 2 lety

      Good Morning…. Great to hear you enjoyed the workout . I suggest warming up first to increase range of movement in your hips . Try kneeling on the floor … in a four point kneeling position … hands under shoulders on the mat, knees directly under hips
      Raise one knee directly out to the side …. then rotate the leg/knee in the hip joint … start with small circles then gradually increase the range of movement with each rotation …. Keep going until you feel you at your maximum range and rotate several more times …. Then reverse the direction and repeat numerous times . Do the same on each side. If it’s more comfortable you can position yourself on your forearms rather than x
      Hope this helps xx
      Enjoy xx

    Hi, im 52 and only got one of these over the weekend. Ive got the straps at the longest length but still have trouble trying to raise the bar aove my head as too much tension. Is this standard for a beginner or am i just very weak?😂

    • @PilateswithDonnaFinnie
      @PilateswithDonnaFinnie  Před rokem

      Hi … thanks for getting in touch . Firstly the workout is challenging and it’s something you are new to. Where ever you are with your fitness today, it will improve with consistency and determination. Little steps lead to big gains.
      As you push the bar , think about engaging your pelvic floor, your core ( glutes and abdominal muscles) breathe out as you push. Extend the arms to where you can and then lower the bar with control . Be proud of yourself for giving this a go, rest when you need to and enjoy seeing & feeling the progress you make
      Enjoy x

    I trued this but when I’m table top my arms are not under me because the tension of the bands. Do I roll the bar? Also, when doing the side stuff my arms are feeling it more than my legs. ( I did an arm workout yesterday)
    I really want to make this work… thanks.

    • @PilateswithDonnaFinnie
      @PilateswithDonnaFinnie  Před rokem +1

      Hi Lisa … sounds like you are working hard and are feeling v motivated. I too felt the ‘side stuff’ greatly in my arms. You can always rest the bar, and do the side lying exercises without it & really focus on the movement x
      Yes you can roll the bar or shorten the straps by tying a knot x
      Enjoy 😉

      Hi … hold the bar in front of you just below your collar bone … if you need more tension then hold it further away from your body … hope this helps xx
