Welcome! I'm Donna and I LOVE how Pilates can transform peoples lives. I have observed people of all ages learn to move with increased confidence and gain greater mobility and strength through practising Pilates.
Aside from Pilates I love running, cycling, swimming and strength training. From personnel experience, I wholeheartedly believe that Pilates can help athletes improve their performance and aid injury rehabilitation.

This really was EPIC! Thank you so much for this wonderful program! I got a pilates bar as part of a set (with a mat, blocks etc), and it was propped against a wall for a really long time.. I had no idea what it was for! You have definitely opened my eyes, and I have loved your calm, detailed instructions throughout. I can't wait to do it again as well!

Hi Donna! Glad I found you! New to Bar Pilates, Iâm a young 64, athletic but overweight with back issues. I just did (sort of) this day 5. Iâm dealing with L3 and T1 issues so needless to say this was very challenging and I had to sit out many of the exercises. Any suggestions? Just keep at it? đ„° Thank you!†Teri

Hi, I feel like my bar weighs heavy on my shoulders. Should I loosen the straps? Iâm 5 feet 5 inches. Iâm not sure what number my straps should be on. The straps at the top that connects the band to the bar.
Hi ⊠itâs difficult to comment as I donât use bar changeable or adjustable straps . It shouldnât feel heavy on your shoulders . It should feel challenging but not compromise your posture or feel uncomfortable on your spine . Hope this helps xx
Holy moly!!! That was one hell of a wake up call on a Monday đź. It was definitely vindaloo spicy in some parts đź However I did enjoy the longer practice today and as always the time flew by đ. Is there an exercise that isolates and works out the quads similar to a leg extension with the Pilates Barre?
My god, this was spicy! Had to pause 2 times because my sweat was dripping so hard, it was tickeling me. Thank you. I loved it. â€

This one, for me, was a difficult challenger (due to the hip obviously) and I actually cried at one point. But I will do the routine again!
Please keep listening to your body ⊠if an exercise is causing you pain rather than muscular engagement then I recommend stopping. There are so many workouts to choose from itâs đŻ fine to skip the ones that donât feel good x x
Hi, Donna. Donât worry, I listen to my bodyâŠ.thats how I knew I would need to revisit this one. I cried with frustration really, but I only did what I could - which turned out to be not as much as I would have liked. However, my muscles around my hip are definitely strengthening so I know I will be able to do this session in the future. Thank you so much for your lessons. đ

Day 26: completed and getting a little sad that the program is almost done. This challenge was waaaaay better than I expected - great stuff!!!
So so to hear youâve enjoyed it so much. As you said, itâs almost done â wow! There is a new challenge being released on Monday 12tg August for Members of the Live classes ⊠itâs for two weeks with a new workout released every morning . Iâm just in the process of filming it âŠ. Itâs good !! Definitely worth considering signing up for membership ÂŁ8.99 a month , you get live classes and then all the class recordingsâŠ. You can cancel your membership any time xx
I just bought my pilates bar a couple of weeks ago. I wasnât sure where to start and then found your 28-days challenge. I am so overweight & unconditioned since an injury in 2022. But I just finished Day 4 of challenge and it was not easy, but I did it!! Balance needs a lot of work, but will get better as I continue đ Thank you for this challenge!!

Great to hear youâve started. 5 repetitions of each exercise is a great start. Keep listening to your body and do what feels right. Imagine how much stronger youâll be in a couple of months time if you work your way through the challenge doing a workout every other day or every day, whatever works best for you. Well on a very hot south of England this morning that was a madras spicy in parts but oh my! what a marvellous workout. I'm a sweaty mess ( due to the heat) but I loved loved this, I can definitely see an improvement with getting my legs straight and stating stable when doing the boat pose with the bar.
