Kudos to Paradox here. When they announced this DLC I was not very happy, seemed like it would be a few new events and a couple of new screens. But I'm pretty blown away by how much content it seems they're adding. Seems like it will really allow for much more roleplay and just something to do in peacetime. As well as making the game much more challenging and complex.
Doubt that it will be more challanging tho. Good thing i prefer roleplay over minmaxing.

@@21muhammadikram82 The Vassal system change thats upcoming should be more difficult to deal with. Like how Conclave made it a pain to manage in CK2
These little details are amazing especially the one were the armour gradually gets more and more advanced as you advance through the game.

this update seems 10x better than royal courts and I'm beyond hyped
Unfortunately I won't be buying it as after the garbage royal courts update I decided I'm not buying pdx dlc anymore
Honestly I'm glad that with all the focus on a travel system being fleshed out, we see things like pilgrimages also getting reworked and incorporated into the travel system.
All the old activities are getting revamped as part of the travel update. Did you watch the video? Hunts, pilgrimages... basically if it actually requires moving around, you'll use the system for it.

all travel should be incorporated including when you want to marry a spouse or interact with other courts in any way. Force us to send an emissary if the ruler doesn't go themself. I wish all characters respected their location and required travel time.
@@CheyronCheyros yes they dont have mages with teleporters do they, i iked it on HoI where u had to wait for commanders to travel

This is the best dlc by far, if future updates are like this CK3 will go down in history as one of the best medieval grand strategy games ever made, well done Paradox, I'm looking forward to this one, keep up the great work
Best DLC out of what set? All Paradox DLCs? All CK3 DLCs? All DLCs in the world? You haven't event played it yet.
They are really leaning in to the parts of the game that make it unique and interesting. It's not just a map painter but a Medieval dynastic RPG.

Do they even have "competition"? literally they are the only one and only their modders compete agaisnt them.

Can't wait to tour my vassals during a revolution and be held hostage !!! Nah but tbh this looks so refined, I am part of those who are very excited to see the final version.

Not only does this bring so much more storytelling to your characters and realm. This adds that much more personality to the character you're playing! I love this, now lets hope it's good on release.

I am so hyped for this new content!!! The only thing I wish we would get with this new DLC is coronations. I think it would be so awesome to be able to travel to our kings coronation or even to other countries, or make our own. Invite who ever we want to like pope, our vasals, friends or foes.
But again, I love this new content, cant WAIT!
The Coronations mechanic was in ck 2 added with Holy Fury dlc. I doubt that they would make same dlc twice, this could anger the community. But lets hope they would do it anyway. I wish that they brang back a lot of mechanics from ck2 too like organisations,"magic",merchant republics etc
@panzaraza77 Yea I agree with you! CK2 had a lot of great mechanics. I just thought that coronatioc goes hand in hand with something like grand wedding (expecialy if you can invite head of the faith to the wedding), pilgrimiging and tournaments.
@@panzaraza77 i feel like the community is always asking for ck2 features to be implemented, though.
@@panzaraza77 paradox has stated that features already present in CK2 will be added through free updates, their DLC will focus on things that were not present in ck2. This is why for example regencies will be added for free in the next update as they were already a mechanic in CK2, but new travel stuff is DLC

This update looks brilliant! I am looking forward to seeing all of the new layers of richness that will be added. For me, I think this will make an already immersive game all the more so. Kudos to the team at Paradox for all of their hard work.

The need to include what was in the Royal Court cinematic trailer.
I love this Poledouris-like music, reminds of Conan and first Asterix movie simultaneously, such an atmosphere

Im actually blown away by how good this looks. I was reading alot about potential new features and stuff on reddit and youtube but man some of the additions of this DLC even blows away my wildest expectations. They found a perfect way to include something that even CK2 severely lacked and added a whole new spin to it. Damn. So looking forward to playing this.

This is a great addition. I like that players are finally getting things to do while at peace, especially since war wasn't always the only thing that rulers thought of. I'm hopeful that in the future there will be more things to manage when it comes to your lands and vassals, and more to do as far as roleplay goes.

I like it. I like that there's more room to really dig into a character and flesh out their life and actually have more tangible ways of impacting the world around you. That will be good stuff. I really hope given their direction with this and then with the story pack dealing with wards/child rearing and other new struggle region that they eventually give some story attention and activity love to the Counts and Dukes of the realm. Maybe not quite as grand as the travel system (though it would be nice to be involved in those events too) but even just more activities and story events would be very welcome. But I like the direction thus far, it's very encouraging

Kinda happy i was recommended this since i haven't played in sometime. Be nice to come back. Trying to learn embroidery and i just finished learning digitizing (although I am still new)
7:43 I'm most interested about this actually. There was but too few ways to convert outside your borders. It's this little things that gives the game an other youth :)

I like that in addition to the existing functions, barbershop and "gaming activity" in the steam status will be added to the game (just like in ck2).

Loving that Paradox is adding more content to peacetime in CKIII. Love the game, but felt like it lacked in that department.
God save Crusader Kings! I've been playing since 2014 and it is definitely my favorite game to immerse myself in the middle ages.

Really great DLC and updates. Makes the game so much more interesting. Hopefully we’ll get coronation events, introducing the heir to the realm and having a designated heir title at some point ❤ keep up the great work, looking forward wards expansions now
This is much bigger than I was expecting. I already have 1200 hours in the game and looks like I'll be doubling that. Great work devs!!!

It is technically already possible to pull off a red wedding in the current version of the game if you own Friends and Foes. If you manage to get a family feud going you can start a scheme to do a bloody wedding! :P
