#ck3 #crusaderkings3 #ck3dlc - Hry
The main benefits I get from hunts and weddings is the ability to murder a foreign ruler, or a vassal that is giving me a hard time. You bypass the dice rolls and long time it takes for a scheme by just having them go to the event and making murder your intention. I can also set up big marriages and alliances with those. I think that's huge and you didn't mention that at all. I agree with the UI, the clickiness, and the repetition of events. It gets tiresome clicking dialogue boxes all the time. There should be an option to have like a 'stance' on departure and have it just kind of handle things for you to an extent. I'm sure the devs can come up with something. Overall I really like the DLC and patch as now I can do things in peace time instead of just planning for the next war and fighting all the time.
I'm someone who tried CK3 when it came out and felt it was a lot worse than CK2, missing a lot of content from that game.
But now getting back into the game with this DLC and the Courts DLC, I actually enjoy it and think the game is going in a good direction making it different from CK2.
That said multiplayer cannot be played at all right now which is a pretty big oversight on PDX part.
why no multiplayer? i just played with a friend not even a week ago
@@Skiddla Ever since the patch / DLC multiplayer keeps desyncing constantly. I've scoured the PDX forums and there's no solution to it yet nor acknowledgement by PDX.
i feelt the same. it's just in the nature of games that the newest one will feel baren compared to the last one with all expansions/dlcs. i did recognise CK3 have a better foundation with the engine and plans for expnsions and moding. i feel Tourse and Tournaments have elivated the game to be better or on par with ck2 now but things feels missing. hope the extra dlcs for this year will pad and round it all out
@@Labargoth Got a few desync but my main problem was somehow the checksum is all different from each other and we have to uninstall, clear cache for hours before we can start playing. After that it is pretty much stable, better than Stellaris and arguably hoi4.
By far and away i think the biggest issue I have with CKIII is the repeating of events, as you discussed. After playing for over 100 hours total, i pretty much know the events and dont really read them much any more, instead just kinda skimming over the options and chosing one for the effect. Like you said, it really kills immersion, especially with how often some events get repeated. Not really sure how this issue could be fixed though.
Similarly, I feel like a lot of the events feel kinda homogenous, no matter which region of the world you're playing. I get that a lot of these are pretty generic, but it still feels a bit weird to get so many of the same ones, whether Im in England, Egypt, or India
the UI design guy watching this video: 😢
I've been enjoying it so far.
I love it. Most of these guys are missing the big points of the events and choices. Like he says royal court is a waste of time. No way. You get bonuses to acceptance of inviting people to court, scheme chance, all kinds of things.
If the average playthrough is around 400 yrs, so around 13 characters. Assuming you go on around 1 pilgrimage per lifetime and get 15 events per trip you'd need to write around 195 events to get no repeats. I could probably do it in a day. Hell I'd do it for free, sounds like fun. Get a few others to cover for the other activities and one more for the royal court and we're set.
No idea why they haven't done this. Makes no sense why there's so few events.
I agree with you 100%, CK3 needs 10 more years to be on par with CK2 sadly.
Pimp Dave, coming with the good stuff YES SIR
a missed opertunity with Tours and tournaments is the ability to form a traveling party and just walk around the map without predetermine any rout and just go on an adventure (needs more events). when doing that the AI could control your kingdom until returning.
I’m surprised you haven’t gotten roasted over the Stone of Scone yet.
Anyway, I like this DLC more than previous ones. It adds a lot of pieces to elements that were weak before. Travel alone is a big improvement. However the Tournaments are way too OP. It feels like the trend of many games now where each DLC becomes a new way to pay to win as it gives some super OP thing. You can basically trade cash for a tournament which can give you a super item that boosts your stats for generations. Couple Viking raiding with tournaments and it’s essentially a cheese way to crush everyone.
Double the cost of standard PDX DLC but adds less content, big pass for me unless they put it on sale.
Seems like this adds way more content than any of the previous dlc
@@MrNailbrain I think your username is accurate then.
@@MrNailbrain previous dlcs had barely any content, so that's low bar. For 30 bucks you can buy brand new game. Actually, you can buy PARADOX game for 30$ which has 10 times more content. If dlc price at 30$ i expect it to have at least 1/3 of content base game has. Or close to it. Not just 1 mechanic and 50 events.
PDX needs to step up their game.
I find the best way to "acquire" the DLC with the game and see for myself so I avoid completism like with hoi4. I just bought the last one and theu already plan next one
Only been following you channel for a little while and I am happy to see content being a bit more honest about the lack of content in recent DLC. I'm sure I'll buy in a year when it's 50% off in a sale, but not until then.
I‘d love to buy it, but wtf paradox, not for that price
Time to add it to the wish list and buy it in a year or so
I've been really enjoying t&t, there loads to do outside of war. Norse Lords was fine. Rest of the dlc has been a bit meh.
The worst thing about Royal Court is looking for court artifacts to buy claims on. You have to constantly go back into the search menu, click on character, go to the court, see if there is an item you want and repeat the process until you do. Also, like 80% of the events are negative or whatever so its pointless. T&T I really wanted to like but for me it was just more of the same feast activities but presented differently and with more items you can get. I dont feel like it is actually doing anything new. Its like Rock, Paper, Scissors but adding another in there. It doesnt change the fundamental gameplay. Also, when you go to an event the game slowsdown to show the graphics of the events. It also requires more processing power. I'd give it a 6/10. Its just kinda OK. I would much rather they had fixed some of the more fundamental aspects of the game like improving the war mechanic.
BTW the UI has always been rubbish. There is still no item finder after all this time.
Activities costs a lot of gold…..
In terms of events, they need to tailor it more based on traits, each traits should have at least 30 different events.
Overall this game has a LOT of potential but the devs seems to lack ambition to better the game for the sake of enjoyment but more on 💵💵💵
Is CK3 with all the DLCs worth $99??? Seems really expensive for a game on sale...
I feel like pdx has flip flopped all the sudden. They are releasing great base games and then pretty meh dlcs. Ck3, victoria 3 (1.2 patch) and age of wonders 4 are all pretty good vanilla and so far the dlc has not been very interesting
Is not, what is the point maxing development if u cant max out cultural fascination early
I feel like CK3 is just "Roleplay" now.
As a game, it is incredibly unbalanced and one dimensional, there's no challenge at all.
Yep. I think it was always slightly weak as a map painter, but now they’ve really committed to making it an RPG
I like it because I got it for free lol, It's fun and worth $0
Ck2 still the GOAT! Change my mind (or not).
yeah, I figured Paradox would find a way to just reintroduce the CK2 DLCs for the different cultures to add some more flavor, but I guess not.
way too bugged and imbalanced imo, would wait few more months, before game is worth playing.
Paradox as a company have been slowly decaying. CK3 has had some of the most tedious, boring dlc. Especially the price of this new one, with it having less content then most other games. Paradox is quickly going the way of most AAA companies into this rats nest of penny pinching.
Fate of Iberia is great
absolutely not. The struggle system is garbage
@@konplayz It takes extra 20 years it is not that bad
@@AlaZenH i love conquering all of iberia manually and the struggle still goes into the “conciliation” phase
Nope not worth it
