The glowing in her attire is actually dust she's woven into her clothes to enhance her powers pre maiden upgrade. When she becomes a full maiden she no longer needs dust, but yeah I wished her clothes still glowed, it was a nice touch.
Oh dust woven clothing. A concept I wish they had played around with more. Imagine gravity dust woven shoes that allow their wearer to walk on walls and ceilings
@@TheLunarboy4 Its giving Bayonetta and yes I wish they played more with it, a fan character from the SLVR trailers uses this sense he doesn't have semblance or so I remember, I could be wrong its been awhile sense I watched those.
Well, to be exact, that was the reason behind her special clothes, but that was before Maidens even existed. They weren't originally part of the story and only got added because Monty came up with the idea between Volumes 2 and 3. If not for the Maidens, we'd probably still have Cinder with Dust woven into her clothes.
The best part is she effectively laced it with magic gasoline. Nobody else does that that we see, because it's kind of insane if you think about it; an early sign that she's crazy in a way that we could _almost_ love.
The thing that I miss the most about Cinder's old look is her glass slippers. Not only was it a nice way to show her fairytale, but it's a really smart way hint at her semblance with being able to make glass. I really miss those slippers and hope someday they'll bring them back
I think jnpr got some decent upgrades, and v8 Yang is probably my favorite look for her. Her original design had so much personality but this one is just really cool
I love Cinder’s volume 1 look. Red has always been my favorite color and there is so much personality that you can get from this design. The arrogance from the lack of armor. The vanity from the ornate details on it. Even somewhat of an ethereal ancient power from the way her marked designs on the sleeves glow. I love it so, so, so much!
Cinder's design and her character in general was at it's peak during Vol 1-3. Throughout those Volumes she was both calculative, manipulative, beautiful, and deadly. In hindsight when I look at Cinder I think of wasted potential. Honestly Cinder's evolution in regards to her design and character, could've EASILY gone down the same route as that of Vegeta. She starts off as a powerful antagonist that our heroes defeat, but then she ultimately splinters off from the big bad to do her own thing, in which she would OCASSIONALY team up with the heroes when the situation calls for it. Then when ultimately when she faces off against the big bad, it's still not enough and she ends up losing only to discover that her path of thinking was wrong only to be saved by our protagonists, forcing her to reevaluate her choices, and she ultimately becomes an Antihero, and maybe a good guy if you want to push it that way.
I gotta’ admit Cinder’s Volume 1 look was sexy. The cutoff of her dress exposing her legs, her high heels, the gold dust lining on the top of her dress, it’s all super hot. If there was one thing I could praise Cinder for she had a great design in the first few volumes of RWBY.
The gold is most likely dust, which tells us she has a plan in case something comes up and she made it herself. Which is supported in dance where she made her weapons
Her first design is my favorite. Probably always will be Her hair, beauty, powers, sarcastic personality, growing dress! Everything was amazing with her. She reminded me a lot of lust from FMAB But to some degrees better
It's really telling she's the only character to our knowledge that's infused her clothing with dust, specifically to produce these glowing accents. It's a DELBIERATE choice she makes to be THAT extra, and i guess nobody at RT realized that's a potential character trait to play with.
You know something I realized is how she kinda of mirror but is similar to Ruby they both wear red and black but have sliver accessories and eyes cinder has gold
Something I adore about Cinder’s original look (and in part, her subsequent ones) is she’s literally the anti-Cinderella. We often think of Disney’s Cinderella as “THE Cinderella,” the blonde updo, the silver/white/blue dress, the long skirt and short sleeves. Cinder is entirely the opposite of that-loose black hair, short, dark red dress with long sleeves and gold accents. She still has glass slippers, but they’re black and translucent instead of crystal clear. She’s literally introduced by her glass shoes. RWBY’s audience was told that Cinder is the negative Cinderella from day one. This isn’t the Cinderella who’s virtuous, who only wants at least one night of freedom, this is the Cinderella who wants power and revenge.
Oh Cinder’s design is definitely fashion over function alright. No matter how many times I look at it it looks like she’s going into battle in a glorified cocktail dress. Still the fact that she’s woven dust into her dress for her to use at any time technically means she’s literally dressed to kill. With the golden dust inlays in her dress that glows whenever she uses her dust. As well as a window that shows her slippers emblem on her back. Are great designs choices. Still it’s a shame that outside of fan made content Cinderella is the only character to use dust in her own outfit to fight. It’s a really underutilized battle tactic.
Very controversial but from volume 1 cinder has been one of my favorite characters design and personality wise along side others Like Raven, Adam, Ren, Winter, glynda and salem. And she grew even more Perfect for me with the fall
I hate everything she wears after volume five. It loses the feel of her V1-5 outfit, but her later outfits do nothing to reflect her new outlook. It's like she was desperate to wear something, anything, so she stole clothes from someone else's wardrobe without bothering to put her own spin on it.
I can help! Ice Queendom is a spin off anime of this original show called "RWBY". It has 8 seasons you can watch for free on Roosterteeth . com. It's free to make an account for their website, but the episodes do come with ads. There's a 9th season that's exclusive to Crunchyroll with a paid membership, but should reportedly also be free to watch on Roosterteeth's website within a few months. Hope this helps! :)
I don't think she used Maiden powers much on Volume 1 I think she's used for dust and because of the fact that it glows and and after getting full Maiden powers she seems to just the idea and ask dust it seems just using her powers to manifest what she needs or wants
I guess her other designs don’t glow cause they don’t have Dust sewn in or incorporated in them. By the way, what happened to that detail? I remember a couple of characters having that aspect but it kinda just got dropped overtime.
Monty kind of retconned Cinder's dust infused clothing into her being a maiden. He had the idea of the maidens during early Vol 3 production before he passed away.
Cinder is my favorite female villain along side with big mom honestly i hurt me a lot to see a character i found so entertaining becoming so boring over time she left such a big mark on me that most of my villains are female her presence was o beautiful powerful and one that demand respect from other with a touch of fear a story i was hoping for her character was that maybe she had a sister who became a maiden after one of the maidens stumbled across her home then her sister took care of the maiden because she was sick or something a gained her powers maybe team rwby happens to also come across this house just as cinder is visiting her sister fight breaks out and cinder learns her sister is a maiden then instead of fight she lets team rwby take her sister leaving cinder with this moral dilemma knowing that Salem will come for her sister but also wanting the maiden power to protect that very sister because just wanting power is boring y dose cinder want power nothing wrong with character wanting just power but i feel cinder needs a reason to really give her the department she deserves sorry for the long post
The biggest disappointment in RWBY for me will always be Cinder because her original design and character concept are so fudging cool. Retooling the story of Cinderella to be a pyromancer who fights with glass. So much potential...wasted :(
Aye. She made quite the impression. Especially after she gave Rwby PTSD at the top of the tower. Or well, it would've been more intriguing if that gave her PTSD. Which would lead to Rwby using her silver eyes willy nilly unintentionally. It was after this end point, after Piera's death, after Yang lost her arm, after Beacon had fallen, that this show fell off for me. The team splitting up didn't feel right. I was holding out hope we would get more stories in and around Beacon that included the cool side characters. Then they blew up Beacon and turned it into no man's land. At this point I hate the writers. They should've been forced to improve or something. Just something.
Her glass shoes and anklet are also nice additions.
fr
Agree
It also has a sound effect.
Took me this long, you mentioning glass shoes, to realize she’s cinderella based

And she still hasn't jaun one won on won fight.
@@misterOrca4 She did beat Pyrrha. I would say she held her own against Glynda, but it was more that Glynda was also busy protecting Ruby.

So, RWBY reached peak at the beginning with, almost, all their designs, didn't it?
Yep.
I think jnpr got some decent upgrades, and v8 Yang is probably my favorite look for her. Her original design had so much personality but this one is just really cool
The entire series peaked with vol 3

Old Cinder was so cool but then they changed her whole character

Her best design. Wish we got to see it more.

Her black suit was really cool too ngl.
Okay but her volume 7-8 drip is the best I think I’ve ever seen on a character
I miss seeing her in the color red. Cinder's outfit now has too much black. In addition, I loved her transparent glass slippers in the first volume.
You know something I realized is how she kinda of mirror but is similar to Ruby they both wear red and black but have sliver accessories and eyes cinder has gold
Yeah, they set them up to visually rhyme as mutual nemeses, but then they barely interact.
I personally adore her hair, wish I had a haircut like that
I always love cinder first design ✨
Honestly she gives me Hunger Games vibes
Cinder’s hair is now cut short after finding out her old hair design was the infamous anime mom’s hair

I love Cinder so much 😍❤️😍❤️
And cinder peaked here
best design hands down
Also she has glass shoes. I wish she still did glass shoes.
To fix her newer designs stop making it completely black

Like
Raven, Adam, Ren, Winter, glynda and salem.

Cinder design looks perfect
Great video
Salem lakes gold to become really interresting
I wish we got this look back
I hate everything she wears after volume five. It loses the feel of her V1-5 outfit, but her later outfits do nothing to reflect her new outlook. It's like she was desperate to wear something, anything, so she stole clothes from someone else's wardrobe without bothering to put her own spin on it.
Real ada Wong vibes
i'm gotta say i love her design even she is kinda bad villian but damn she super hot
I miss that design plus it fits her character
I don't understan where you get this?? Is it a series? Anime? Videogame? I just whatch ice queendom but that's it heeelp

Cool
RWBY's biggest downgrade as a whole was Cinder
She gradually got way worst in terms of design and as a character overall
I miss her
In RWBY all of the character's original designs were perfect, too bad they changed them
I guess her other designs don’t glow cause they don’t have Dust sewn in or incorporated in them. By the way, what happened to that detail? I remember a couple of characters having that aspect but it kinda just got dropped overtime.

I'm curious, did the character designers who made vol. 1-3 outfits quit? Why did the designs get much worse?
