This episode is one of those reminder episodes of how close Burma and goku are. Being friends since they were teens and it shows how well they know each other.
Love how goku busts in like the kool-aid man when he hears about vegeta and whiz.

Chi Chi is such an underrated character. She can be a bit much sometimes, but she's always got something entertaining for us without it being out of character.
Gotta appreciate that no matter how mad she gets at Goku, she knows him well enough to not be too angry for him just being himself.
It confounds me that Chi Chi still can't fly. She has as much a martial arts background as Videl, and almost everyone she knows can fly. You'd think that, for occasions like this (chasing after Goku to yell at him), she'd want to know how for her own sake.
Roshi has all the reason to fly and he never learned either. And he's way stronger than Chi-Chi
She learned Turtle School martial arts - on Earth, Bukuujutsu (flying) is a Crane School technique
My theory is Tien and/or the others won't teach Chichi to fly for Goku's and their own sake. Most if not all the other characters are afraid of Chichi when she is angry; so the last thing they would want is for an angry Chichi to be able to fly after them.
Maybe she doesn't want to?
Also, bukuujutsu is not the only method of flying, Piccolo has his own flying technique that he said is more efficient and faster and in Freeza saga we learned Namekian children all learn it at young age, so that technique doesn't need much power or martial arts background to learn, just basic ki control.
@@wingedbluj1674Roshi doesn't want to learn how to fly because its the technique of his most hated rival, so he'll never learn to do it even if there was a version that wasn't a direct technique of it that the Crane school didn't develop.

Of all the characters brought on since Super, Beerus (mainly in the BoG) and particularly Whis (in everything he’s in, doesn’t matter) are my favorites by favorites to this day. He’s such a fun pleasant character, and Ian Sinclair’s performance is absolute perfection.

Goku's impatience is likely from after fighting Beerus, he now has a new goal, but he can't do that since he's busy farming and being a grandpa(this went on for 6 months after Battle of Gods). I'd say Goku deserves at least some time to train after months of working.

TeeamFourStar actually has made a couple scenes (similar to the Buu Bits) for Super. Sadly its way less than that and they are actually harder to track down.

Whis is one of the greatest characters they introduce to dragon ball. He is by far my favorite new character in DBS.
You guys should see out of context kaguya sama dub. The English narrator is the same as the English VA for Whis.
I think this episode really shows off how the showrunners of Super don't really understand how to write Adult Goku. It's funny, yes, but throughout the entire series, they give Goku the personality of his child self. He's nothing like he was in the Buu arc. And it's unfortunate because a lot of the humor they use makes Goku comes across as kinda annoying - such as interrupting Whis's lunch all the time.
Vegeta also SORTA regresses as a character, because at the end of Buu, he realizes why Goku is always so strong (because he's training for himself, not to put others down). Yet here we see he's once again just focused on beating Goku, not getting stronger for it's own sake. And he's back in his old costume, which misses the point of how the outfit he wore in the Buu arc demonstrated his growth away from his old Saiyan heritage.

I think the role should have been given to goten. So that he can walk in His father's footsteps...
It's a shame really executive decision suck.
They purposely regressed everyone's character in super to prolong the story, at the end of Buu Saga even before the time jump everyone's stories got wrapped up.
Vegeta stopped chasing after Goku, Goku was enjoying life with his family, Gohan got to settle down (as unpopular as that opinion is he's never wanted to be a fighter)
All of this gets undone throughout super to give them an excuse to drag it on.
As a autistic person, goku is on the same level of focus when it comes to specific thing as we can.

This is where you realize Chichi was very controlling of Gohan's life, even with his new hybrid daughter named Pan, she is half human and half sayajin, being the first female sayin on the planet.

Chichi is WAY too comfortable screaming in the face of, like, any of one of the _dozen_ people on earth that could blow up a planet. It's not that she's abrasive or loud, it's that she thinks she could go up to _Darth Vader_ and start sassing him like that. I mean, look what happened with Beerus when _he_ first showed up- and he's _nice!_
I wish they'd develop her character, beyond her being an ill-fitting stereotype.

Sure thing. Dragon Ball Super ( the anime. manga, and films) take place after the defeat of Kid Buu in DBZ; but before Pan and the others enter the World Martial Arts tournament in the final episodes of DBZ.
