- On May 14 I started reading the final book in The Wheel of Time, 'A Memory of Light'. That is one year and 4 months after I started reading the first book in this series, which in my case was New Spring, the sequel to The Eye of the World.
This is a very important book for me, and because of that I want to give it extra attention. I have made a reading vlog of this important read.

Welcome to the family brother :-) Now a piece of advice from a WoT Veteran... the best read, is the first re-read. But there are neither beginnings nor endings to the enjoyment of the Wheel of Time... they are all amazing.
Great video as always. I think you definitely need to pick up a Song of Ice and Fire next
Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Welcome to the other side. I highly recommend rereading the eye of the world prologue again now with all the context you have from finishing. It is amazing to see how much of the end is already there at the very beginning. There are no beginnings or endings to the wheel of time.
Thanks! 'The other side', glad I made it there. And I will follow your recommendation.
This video was a blast to watch! Congrats on finishing the series! Having the vlog style snippets were great and reminded me why I loved the series as much as I did
Thanks, Dan. Good luck with your re-read!
Well it’s going to be a while before I can watch this!
This video will patiently be waiting...
Stormlight archive might be a good choice to start now, considering book 5 (end of Arc1) is coming out in December. Would mean you could read all 5 in a row without having to do any re-reads.
Yes, I think Stormlight Archive is my next huge one, considering that the next book in my Cosmere journey is The Way of Kings...
Good vlog! I remember back to 2007 when hearing of Robert Jordan's passing. I was devastated. The series that I had grown up with would not be finished? And then finding out that Brandon Sanderson would be finishing it with the notes that Jordan left for him. It wasn't perfect, but it was as good an ending as we could have asked for. I will always be grateful to Brandon for that? What a journey. Will always be my favourite series! I was hooked from the first time I saw the cover of The Eye of the World. I will always picture Moraine and Lan that way. Be well, stay safe.
Congrats on completing the series! It's an accomplishment to say the least. Your reactions over the course of the video remind me of how much of a blast I had reading this myself. The excitement and joy's obvious. Really awesome video.
Thanks Rabin. When did you read the series?
@@DutchGreyBeard maybe mid-2014? I remember waiting for the MMPB of A Memory of Light to be released before I'd start it, so sometime after that. It's been a hot minute, I'm about due for a re-read 😂
@@OnlyTheBestFantasyNovels Wow. That sounds like history to a fantasy newbe like myself. In 2014 I was immersing myself in Asimov's Foundation series (read them all).
@@DutchGreyBeard Awesome, Foundation was a very cool series. I don't read too much SF, but I did finally get to them a few years ago - really great stuff.
Congratulations, this book series is held as a cornerstone for the epic fantasy genre and I am thankful that you shared your journey through it with us. Both your praise and critique of this book and book series have been positive and again I thank you for sharing this journey with us.
Thank you! WoT is rightfully seen as a cornerstone for epic fantasy.
How wonderful that you love this series so much! Your reaction is what reading is all about!! Also, your "off the cuff" english is amazing. Thank you for taking the extra time to do the vlog.
Thanks BJ.
This inspires me to continue my wheel of time re-read- The Dragon Reborn next...
life is way too short
