Funny thing, Frankie Valli never had any voice training or lessons. His four octave range made so many songs sparkle it was rediculous. Try some of the others out.
I worked with a Hawaiian man for years (Emuel Ohrey). He spoke 7 island languages plus English. Any time I clocked in while he was on shift, he would sing this to me. He had a great voice, but the accent made it extra special. đ
Hey Jamel! Yes! This is absolutely the REAL Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. đ His voice has always been so distinctive, amazing and yes, unforgettable. Thank you! âđœ, †and soul.
I grew up listening to AC/DC,Van Halen etc. and I never get tired of listening to Frankie Valli's vocals . The music I believe is written by the keyboard player and is absolutely genius!
The harmony is magical. I believe there was, early in their careers, 5 men in the group. What a beautiful blend of dynamite dynamics. Outstanding. Give it up for the American bands of the sixties. Great analogy.
Silence is Golden, great song that could easily have been the Four Seasons type of song, but the hit was by the Tremeloes. It was, though, written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio, the driving force behind the Four Seasons.
Once again youâve taken me back in time. The minute this song started playing, I was taken to the summer of 1962 when this song came out. My aunt Patsy (she was 16 then) and I (age 7) would dance in our stocking feet on our kitchenâs linoleum floor as she taught me all of the latest moves of the day. I think that Iâm going to call her right now and see how she is. Thanks for the memories, good tunes, positive vibes and your ever present smile. Take care, my friend.
I was five when this song came out. My cousinâs name was Sherry. When we would visit her and this song would come on the transistor radio, my 2 sisters and I would sing it to her like we were on stage. After, we would laugh like lunatics. Ah, memories.
Great suggestion. I saw this movie, and the women who sat with me were all singing along with the tunes! I didn't mind at all. In fact, I joined in the fun!
I loved this. My older sister and her friends used to practice doing the Cha-Cha dance to this song. I used to sneak down to the basement and watch them. Great memories.đ
The four seasons, The Beach Boys, the Temptations, the platters, and those type groups are what got me interested in singing four-part harmony in high school. Theyâve always been my favorites.
Fun Fact: Thanks to actor Joe Pesci for putting Frankie & the Four Seasons together. Before he was famous, he hooked Bob Gaudio (keys and backing vox). Joe was buddies with Tommy DeVito (guitar). If Bob didn't join, none of this wouldn't have happened. React to "Let's Hang On", Frankie's voice has grit due to his cigarette habit but still flawless. After reacting to a few of their songs, I recommend you to watch "Jersey Boys" it's based off the broadway show but based off Frankie and the guys. I consider you and your wife to watch the movie on your date night. Spoil Alert: Jersey Boys is currently on Netflix. Great movie, great songs and worth seeing.
First group I ever heard live. A 7 year old second grader in 1972 and my folks took me with them. I was hooked. GREAT choice!!!!! Frankie Valli is still singing in his mid 80's!
No Autotune can come up with a naturally talented voice like that ! I'm so glad i grew up in an era where beautiful music like this started to fill the radio waves makes you want to get up and clap your hands and dance ... Oh yeah
I was 4 years old when this came out in '62, and all my life it has been my personal anthem, my "name song". Now it's my ringtone, and every time my 80 year old mother hears my phone ring, she giggles!

He has an incredible voice, I love the music I grew up, no faking your voice, you either had talent or you didn't. Jersey Boys was a great movie about out this group. Most of the singers from many years ago never had professional training, they just had the raw talent
This was the real deal! Three of them were friends who started out singing on the street corners in Jersey, and then they added the forth, a guy who had already had a hit with a song he wrote. No "manufactured" groups where some guy picks some pretty boys and teaches them to sing a bit; these guys had real, natural talent! And their sound was like no one else's. The Greatest Hits of the Four Seasons was the very first tape (as in cassette) I bought off TV. I phoned in my order, sent a money order to pay for it and waited not so patiently until the post office notified me that it was there. I ran right down there to get it, and popped it in the player before I was out of the parking lot. Such a great group. They had their tragedies too; one got into financial troubles with the mob and Frankie's daughter died of a drug overdose. But they left such a legacy! If you haven't seen the move or play "Jersey Boys", I recommend it. The language is terrible, but a great story and, of course, the music is amazing!
Sherri-Lynn Hewat Me too Sherri, I used to hate it when I was little but I appreciate it now that Iâm 62 and not 4 or 5 when I would blush when they sang it to me.
I cannot TELL you how many times I've sang along with this song on the radio, blasting my falsetto as high it would go! I have NO idea why, but I've ALWAYS loved this song. Good choice!

I started listening to music because of the Four Season's song "Big Girls Don't Cry". Now it's 47 years later. Seems like 80. So many great tunes packed into those 47 years.
Oh the memories! Summer of '62; I had just finished 2nd grade. This song comes on the car radio (tuned to WGH 1310) while the whole family is headed out for dinner. My father, a very conservative fan of big band music, reacts with , "Wow, what a sound!" Of course we're all listening closely and excitedly to the lyrics because my 11-year old sister in the back seat is named Sherry!
