These guys could do it all from rock concerts in arenas, dinner clubs, Vegas, you name it and they did it: rock, blues, soul, ballads. Fabulous. Such a wonderful song the Drummers singing was amazing in this one he made the song awesome I love Frankie but he was cool enough to sing a smaller part awesome music will never be forgotten in my book
This was a great era for "The Four Seasons", while Frankie Valli always did most of the lead singing in The Four Seasons, in this era, he was more apt to let other singers in the group take more lead roles in singing songs (like Drummer Gerry Polci here did, along with Don Ciccone singing the hook line in Falsetto, "I felt the rush like a rolling ball of thunder....") as Frankie did more backing vocals and supporting vocals along with "co-leads". The group had a string of hits in this era with this group of men, including December 63 also known as "Oh What a Night" which was by far the group's biggest hit and most recognizable song of all time. The Four Seasons went through many "eras" with different singers in the group. This era (along with the first era when Frankie was younger) was by far the best two which lead to 90% of the hits the group had over it's life. In 2020, Valli is now 86 years old but does still perform on occasion.
It's really sad that a lot of the "oldies" music is dying. It is very hard to find a radio station that plays music from this era anymore. There is so many great songs that are being forgotten. For a music lover it's heartbreaking 💔.
When I was a little kid my parents would throw parties and always play 4 seasons records on the media console. Thanks for playing this. Best channel on youtube.
I thought Frankie was having some drug issues and couldn't hit all the high notes so he had to let other members of the Four Seasons do some singing as well. Heard that from a friend who's father (or neighbor) of theirs was in the band.
This is why I am glad to be as old as I am (67) because I grew up listening to the greatest music ever made. I listened to Do-Wop, which was a little before my time even and the beginning of Rock and Roll early Blues the beginning of Motown and early Country the British Invasion. I love all music but I am a little bit worried about the R&B, and Rap because it is Great but it's the only music that the current generation is listening to and they are segregating themselves from other types of music and some of the old music is still popular with a wider group of people and l don't know if this current music will have as big as influence to the listening public that's why these reaction sites are having such a great following l have Grandkids having me dig some of my old records 8 track and cassette tapes out. Health and Happiness to You and Family and Friends.
"Let's Hold On"... "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You"... "Opus 17"... "Sherry"... "Walk Like a Man"... I could keep going... This is such a deep rabbit hole.
Frankie and the same songwriter from the original lineup, with an all-new version of the group. What impressed me is that Frankie shared the vocal stage with two younger singers.

ALL OF EM DUDE. COULD PLAY & HIT THE NOTES. ALL OF EM. BRILLIANT
Thank you for the video. The Seekers "I'll Never Find Another You" 1964
Yes..the version when they are in the studio..best quality...Judith was always easy to look at as well
Yes - that would be good for anyone who loves a great voice. They were part of the folk singing music scene and this was kinda their mainstream hit.
"I felt a rush,like a rolling ball of thunder" ....Great line 😄😄
It's really sad that a lot of the "oldies" music is dying. It is very hard to find a radio station that plays music from this era anymore. There is so many great songs that are being forgotten. For a music lover it's heartbreaking 💔.
Is that Bob Ross on bass?
(little happy trees!)
Lol, actually it's Don Ciccone, he was the lead singer of the 60's group The Critters who had a couple of Top 40 hits
Madonna's uncle.
Lmao great fun comment!!!
🤭🤭
Ryan Campbell hahaha, I think a lot of guys looked like this at this time
Oh What A Night!!! Thanks for the entertainment this evening Jamal ~
No surprise to me that Gerry Polci can hit those high notes! He makes this song.
I can just listen to those guys voices over and over. Gerry Exceptional...
I love this song. Frankie Valle had a lot of hits and well deserved too....
*Valli
I agree Janice. I love Frankie!! His voice is so unique.
@@christyb7455 Real music!!!
@@janicesanders9981 I agree!!💗
A very fun song, love this one. Another one you had to get up and dance to.
I saw Frankie Vallie a few years back. Chills the whole time! The man is still electric!
When I was a little kid my parents would throw parties and always play 4 seasons records on the media console. Thanks for playing this. Best channel on youtube.
It's pronounced "Valley". Sherri Baby is a great tune, too.
Yup
No it's Valli.
@@alegend4712 Youre right Valli and Valley are definitely not pronounced the same in Italian.
Frankie was losing his hearing at this point in his career. That's why he used a headphone and his singing was limited.
Thank you for sharing this information. I never heard Frankie was losing his hearing. I was amazed how many of those guys could hit those high notes.
@@debbeborders5762 He had surgery in later years that helped but I don't really know how much it helped.
I thought Frankie was having some drug issues and couldn't hit all the high notes so he had to let other members of the Four Seasons do some singing as well. Heard that from a friend who's father (or neighbor) of theirs was in the band.
We heard him live 2 years ago at New Buffalo ,MI and he sounded just great, especially for an 84 (now 86) year old guy!
WOW!!
One of my favourite songs of all time !just love it !
Agreed: the drummers vocals are exceptional: along with Frankie Valli and the bass player too. Awesome classic !
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons you need to check out all there songs.'My Eyes Adored You' 'Rag Doll' Theres so many. Thank you for the love J.
I wish they’d made more music like this, the talent in this line up is off the chart
The 70's music!....The best!
Oh one of my favorites!!! Thank you!!
This brings back so many memories, all good. I've never seen this song performed so your reaction was a real treat.
They still played this on the radio into the late '70's, especially in the summers.
They better have it came out in 1976 ,,
Just goes to prove music can join everyone together. It heals, it calms, it is life. Many more good tunes to everyone out there and to you good sir.
Frankie Valli - Can't Take My Eyes Off You... Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons have so many hits.
Frankie is the guy in blue sitting on the stool. The whole band had great voices and Frankie let them shine through. Jay Black from Jay and the American's was in his 70's and he could still hit those high notes, unfortunately he passed aways a few months ago.
