Nice to see the new FW works well. Quite excited by the potential for the OSD to be in sync with one unsplit video file!
Yeah I find it much nicer working with one large file, and it keeps the OSD in sync too.
No flickering that I can see m8...I guess Ill have to update, plenty of time to do it our weather has us grounded.....🤔😳😏😀🇬🇧
Awesome setup! I will have to pick up one of those telescoping flag poles!
Interesting results on raising the Vrx antenna. Your video link looks really good down low that far out. Honestly, that can be much more fun. Is your control link Tx antenna also on a mast?
Control link is still inside with me on the radio. I've been quite impressed that everything I tried works well from there... lol (Dragonlink 433 and 915, Crossfire, ELRS 2.4 and 915 all work well) This was the Radiomaster 2.4 Ranger module.
@@bonafidepirate I used to fly Dragonlink back in the day. Never had range issues. I use ELRS now on small quads.
What font are you using for the OSD? It looks great!
It's Conthrax from Sneaky FPV with some modification I did (some of the icons and the AHI is different) If I ever find time to finish it and get it to him he may have it for download lol
thanks for the update
question about vrx relink ,is it the same as before or improved ,,
I actually did a number of test flights recently trying to figure that out. I can fly behind the woods close to home and cause the video link to drop, so it's a quick way to test it... lol What I found is that it only happens when I have a 915MHz ELRS receiver onboard. ELRS 2.4 or Crossfire are both fine, and video reconnects as soon as the signal is good, like normal. The antennas for Walksnail and R/C receiver are relatively close, grouped together at the middle of the plane on the Swordfish so that's likely a contributor. I still want to test more with a different plane with a bot more separation to see if it's still an issue.
@@bonafidepirate can't ask for anything more , that info is gold ,,,at least for me 🚀🛸🛰
Awesome flying, Keith! 😃
What about the range issue with the new double antenna VTX?
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
And happy holidays!
4.2 miles, so a small increase from his last video which I think was 4 miles. That’s pretty bad range really though. My V1 has been 3 times that distance using higher gain antennae but still, 14dB shouldn’t provide triple the range Kieth’s seeing from 9dB ones. I’m concerned Walksnail have handicapped the power of the V2 double antennae VTX.
@wattage2007 yeah, I'm a bit worried as well...
@@wattage2007The "poor" video range is attributed to altitude....Walksnail can go 50kms, but not at 400 feet....🤔😳😏🇬🇧
@@EnglishTurbinesKeith didn’t mention what height he was flying at though when he was 4 miles away.
@@wattage2007 Trust me, it's 4.2 miles at 400 feet....I've seen him do it before...The Freznel zone is limiting this on 5.8g....🤔😳😳
