If you think maharashtrian cities are safe, then you search about yavatmal where not only women unsafe even men are unsafe, no one can't roam in this city after 7 at night robbery, murder, kidnapping even in daylight is normal here.
Recently once a gangster enter in police station and murdered the officer who handling his case
Beurocrats are corrupt and politicians have connections with gangsters
Recently a dead body of girl founded 1 km away from city

So stop bashing around small town ppl. I think small town ppl are more affectionate than these big cities ( my personal opinion, everyone's is different) , so you just can't speak only on what you think instead do some research and have data then type otherwise zip it!

The best thing I would say about this city, is that you don't even feel concerned about travelling during the night. There is something about the vibes, even when I was absolutely new to the city(I came from delhi) I used to travel back to my home in the middle of the night, without any fear of any kind. Also, the auto rickshaw drivers here are much more helpful than many other cities and people in general are much more easy going.

hands down Mumbai is The Safest city for girls. I vouch for this as I have spent a large part of 45 years of my life in Mumbai. this city is safe 24/7. even if you are sitting completely alone in the 1st class ladies compartment there is a constable sitting in the coach to protect you just incase. Not a single other city can claim to be safe after 8 or latest 10 pm even for men forget women. Mumbai people step out at 10 to enjoy the sea side or eat street side food which in some places is open till 4 or 5 am and go back home in the morning. just sharing an incident when I was just about 15 yrs old. I lived in a suburb of central Mumbai and had never travelled in a local train alone till then. but once I had to come to a western suburb to the Mumbai University for some documents. I had absolutely no Idea about western suburbs. I only knew to get off at Kurla and take a bus to the Kalina University. no clue how to get back. and about Kurla I only knew about the Kurla terminus where we take long distance trains to go to our native place. after i finished with my work. I could not understand the bus routes as most buses were headed to Santacruz stn or elsewhere in western suburb. I took a auto and said "station" he obviously took me to santacruz stn. I enter the platform and see one train headed to churchgate another to borivli. Completely lost and scared. i go out again and take another auto and tell him that I want to go to Kurla terminus. This Auto driver was a true example of how good Mumbai auto drivers are. he let me sit in his auto and asked me 3 times exactly where was I headed. I was too scared to tell him the truth. I told him I want to go to Kurla and then take a train to Thane. then he asked if I am going to Thane. and i again fearfully said yes but i will take the train. He was so good, he drove to Sion station. Showed me that he has dropped me to Sion station, took me to the ticket counter to prove that he was not misguiding me. and infact showed me the way to the platform from where I can catch a train to Thane. this was over 30 years ago but I will never forget the incident. He could have very well taken me anywhere, kidnapped me do whatever, but he had conscience. he guided me back home. There are 1000's of such examples to share if you go around asking people. Mumbai has accepted immigrants from all over the country with open hands, given them opportunities to thrive. nurtured, loved showed kindness and cared no matter who you are and where you came from. The bestest ever city in the whole wide world !!

Cities in North are highly unsafe and people are really toxic and orthodox

i know this is late but you're clearly saying this with you biased towards mumbai, mumbai is good but the safest state for girl in india?litterally compare it to the states of northeast like arunachal, nagaland, mizoram, meghalaya.
first of all northeast doesn't have the culture of the india like the women's should only be inside the four walls and male dominant society and restrictions for whatever women can't do like, wearing this and that, doing this and that, going here and there etc doesn't exist on the northeast states and you can litterally roam the streets at night of arunachal, nagaland, mizoram or meghalaya(only tribal dominant state or NE, I don't trust Assam nor tripura) cause no one cares about what you do whether you're a guy or a girl and the staring is not a culture here, since young age (I was raised in Arunachal) I been taught and many others that staring at strangers or random people is very obnoxious and rude and you see that the people won't even stare at you(except the non tribals living there) if you ever visit especially tribals cause we have very different set of rules that are taught since young age, and also I have noticed that a lot of people who visit or move from mainland to NE has a very huge bad set of manners and one of the most done which really annoys me and other people from the state is their "staring habit" which a person from NE doesn't have, and as for the other fact, arunchale is considered the state with the most freedom for women in india, even more freedom than guys do, there's more restriction for guy's than girls there, litterally ask anyone who knows abour or live in Arunachal.
Also, not a single foreigners was ever gRAPED here, and no one harrases foreign people here, litterally go look yt vidoes at foreigners or people from other states visiting the states I mentioned, you will never see them getting harrased in any way possible by the people there.
Honestly at this point, am not even sure why am stating these points to you, cause you clearly been to only one of the generic places ever and believes on colour of black and white. but you do you, I am not gonna judge you anymore, so bye, have a great day and am sorry if I came out rude ❤️^_^ please have fun with journeys!

@@Worms_are_inside_my_ass I guess you got a bit carried away. This video is about the comparison of Delhi and Mumbai to begin with. so there is no question about being Biased !! my comment was "related" to the topic of this video !! Secondly the "Culture" thing you are talking about does not exist even in villages in India. A lot of states apart from NE have a lot of women who are extremely independent . southern states of Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala women are scientists, Engineers even astronauts and sports women. I wonder if you have any exposure to other states other than the NE states, or you would definitely observe and realise that " wearing this and that, going here and there" is not restricted in most parts of the country.
thirdly this video is NOT ABOUT WOMANS INDEPENDENCE !! its about the mentality of the MEN in these cities !!
I have travelled almost 70% of India solo and have never faced any problem no matter what im wearing or what time I am out. infact in a lot of places in Himachal and Uttrakhand I have even taken lift to reach my destination and never faced any issues. So please understand the topic of the video, understand and properly read the comments before replying to them. It is very nice to know that NE is a verey safe place too but that dosent mean the rest of the country is not. NE states is definitely on my bucket list and would love to explore and I am really happy to know that itis safe for solo women.

@@buddhapiyao1315 listen, you said, "mumbai is the safest" when you say that, it means that it's safer than the any OTHER states and the culture thing I said is real, litterally walk on the roads people will litterally turn their head just to stare at you and if you compare it to any other country you can clearly see that it's only in india that people in roads and anywhere will stare at people as if it's normal, also independence is a form of confidence and confidence is what makes someone feel safe and tbh I like the south states(I especially loved visiting goa cause the sand is very warm woo) so I don't throw any dirt to south, I consider south as a different kind of mainlander but the north is definitely crazy except some, and am deeply sorry for wasting your time and coming off topic but I interpreted your first few sentences wronge T_T I will definitely try to better myself next time and read and again and again

Yes the outsiders try to change it or can't accept it initially,, but then Mumbai embrace everyone and make them their own. You shld explore Mumbai during monsoon or during a flood like situation.. Ppl will go out of there way to make u comfortable

I am bengali but i would say marathi manhus are really good. if u wanna predict that where women are safe then u can predict it by seeing some characteristics.
Such as, if in a community sex ratio is good means female aren't killed in fetus, if dowry is minimal or non existent, if women can marry out of community means honor killings don't happene, if homosexuals aren't tortured then men from those societies would supposed to see women as women not as commodity. Marathi community showed all those above mentioned characteristics. Then they would not supposed to think of violating women's dignity. Though exceptions will be there.
I have seen Most women related crime in kolkata either done by muslim or by hindu bihar up people. And see that all the above mentioned characteristics are almost nonexistent in those states. Female foeticide, dowry, not letting women marry out of caste but boys do, honor kill all these thing happen there so their men also acts disrespectfully to women.
Im NOT generalizing. Its the societal dynamics which condition a man to see a woman as pleasure item.
