Born and brought up in kolkata.. I don't tell you it's totally safe but it's safer maybe.. At 10 pm I returned home from tuition and still hadn't experienced any bad things.. So yes it's a good city more or less..

      To be honest
Only innocent girls are harrashed and assaulted rather than bold girls.
Men dont dare to do anything to loud and confident women but when they see weak duckling , they could harrash them irrespective of your clothes.

Honestly, it's not common for people to see someone walking and talking with a camera.
People are curious to see that.. Not you. I guess this is the issue with some people who think they are being stalked everywhere!

Not at all safe at night. Traveling in a bus ia not so safe....guys/men will feel you up at slightest opportunity, especially if the bus is crowded. Teasing is also very common. Years ago it was much better. During holi you can't go out without getting stopped by drunk strangers, in the middle of the road, insisting on putting colour on you....in broad daylight
Mumbai is hands down the safest city

What about women! Will use the Slightest opportunity to play women card and do bad things. Harrass senior citizens by not offering their ladies seat even if senior citizens seats are occupied and many more which i witnessed .
And for your kind information gutter fly said mumbai is safe but they have released many shorts in which women said they faced danger in Mumbai. The recent one is juhu beach

Appreciate her efforts to lie? You know that most of the time if the city is safe she has a team of producer, co orindinator and sometimes bouncere behind the cameras. So if things dont go in their favour they hire the men and potray themselves as victims. For example in this video she complained a drunk man came and tried to stop her car but there was no evidence in the camera. She saw there is nothing to defame so lets verbally accuse something and i will play women card and people will believe me

The thing about which you are just complaining about where's the evidence then when you are with camera. It's very important you have to shoot specifically those evidences for the audience to believe on you.

I have had bad experiences related to eve teasing in my neighborhood in Kolkata. Eve teasing, catcalling, singing cheap songs etc are very commonly experienced by me. Public transport is not that safe as it looks at night. Also that constant staring wherever you go is extremely uncomfortable

Staring doesnt make someone bad. If somebody is Harrasing you, passing comments, following you , abusing you etc then its bad.
    Everybody looks at beautiful things.
In uk and usa people stare too and also black people. Our mind is corrupted so we think simple things as dangers.
Dont you stare a Lamborghini, a nice tram? A rainbow after rain or the Kalighats beauty??? People love to look at beautiful things.

    • @bullymaguire2074

To show the reality of india but to be honest these people are very biased. Most of the time they verbally acccuse things without video proof as you can see here also if you watch the video. They intentionally try to ruin the image of their own country if things dont go in their favour. In this case since kolkata is safe city and they didnt have any valid points so they verbally accused some drunk men stopped their car and harassed them (no video proof).
In princep ghat one guy gave them curse and warned them (no video proof).
      They become biased.
Edit : they did the same with udaipur series since its safe , they were continuously poking girls and boys to find a negative comment

2AM Stories is an experiment that explores the safety of women at night across various Indian cities. It seeks to determine whether women can truly enjoy the same freedom as men to experience their cities after dark in a supposedly free India.
