Saw this guy on a couple of Pods now, realest spuds fan ever. You win the transfer window, you finish above arsenal or chelsea, you win the manager. Spurs need a new identity, they need a vision as a club. The commercial stuff and the new facilities are great but unless you can perform on the pitch and put trophies in the cabinet it's all for naught.

Both have a point human beings are different and can't expect the next guy to view stuff exactly as you... right bottom guy prolly know Tottenham are not trophy winning club and that's coz of bigger clubs so he's right to celebrate when a superior rival falls off coz that's almost all he can get as a fan unless he changes clubs...the middle bottom guy is also right as he knows his club ain't trophy winning club but instead of accepting that reality he's pissed as he wants his club to improve to a level they can compete with trophy winning teams...so I think both are just right and shouldn't be going at each other

Getting top 4 is a thing if you feel you can do something in the comp. Maybe realistically your team will not win but a feeling that your team can on it's day beat any other team is needed. For me as an Arsenal fan, Bayern killed that comp for me in the Wenger era.
So if Spurs fans feel competitive in CL then getting top 4 is a thing. If not, it feels relatively pointless and empty.
I think that’s what Spurs fans hate the most. They always seem to scrape their way into the UCL but are never close to going deep in it. It makes top 4 (the only thing Spurs can realistically achieve season-on-season) meaningless.
