I am crying of laughter by hearing the Argentinian guy say “of course I am having a panic attack”. Good job guys! I really enjoy studying with your videos.
Lol, thanks. We would love your feed-back on our brand-new Tuesday Terp Challenge. czcams.com/video/_dcwcDj-Ko8/video.html
I was laughing so hard here… he has my kind of sarcasm/fear combo I experience lmao
jajaajajjajajaajaj me too! amazingggggg
- ok, this was more like a try to not laugh challenge and I failed it XD
LOL
I got so involved in this practice that I was trying to interpret everything as fast as possible because of the nervousness hahaah. Thank you very much for this
You’re very welcome. Just keep on practicing and the nervousness will go away.
This was really Good! I was nervous with that guy! Great job on making this sound realistic!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks! We are on low budget so we are going back to just Karla and me voicing these, but we hope to hire voice actor again in the future.
Great job! Acento Argentino del LEP. English accent of the 911 agent ♥️
Right!? Accents are beautiful and give a realistic edge.
I lost it when the Argentinian guy said "of course I'm having a panic attack" 😂
These videos are a great practice, I'm having a great time learning!
Kinda feel bad for laughing 🤣 I would hate to be on his shoes! What a horrifying experience!
911 calls are always something. You always have to be alert for anything. I no longer take 911 calls but I’ll share with you my worst 911 experience on the following video. czcams.com/video/kKCkcSbI2mA/video.html
Happy interpreting!
1.- Am I the only sensitive one who gets as nervous as the caller while interpreting 911 mock calls?
2.- The real challenge on this scenario is the british accent of the dispatcher and the argentinian jargon of the caller.
2.1.- This is such a useful way to catch more terminology.
I get nervous when interpreting these mock scenarios. I don’t get nervous while doing real interpretation, lol. Different accents are perfect practice we hope to bring you more of those soon. Thanks for your input.
I'm to interpret tomorrow at noon for a job, I'm kind of nervious however I've been practicing a lot with your videos. Thank you very much , you are the best of the best. Lof ya ! Regardas from Peru.
Congrats! We love to know we helped you in your journey! Let us know how your first day went? Love ya, too!
Como te fueeeee?
Wow so great! I've heard an Argentinian a voice and a very polite voice like AMAZING!
Glad you liked it. Sadly we have cut our voice actor budget so just me and my buddie’s voice for a while.
Keep up the good work! I loved it! Thank you for existing!
Thank you so much! Will do!
This one was challenging! Love your videos, they are great for studying and practicing
Thanks, glad to know you find them helpful.
Awesome video, super helpful. Thank you!
You're very welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this videos!!
You are so welcome!
thanks a lot great job
You're welcome!
Gracias Gracias, 😍
Thank you very much for this video. I failed completely in the first five minutes. A lot of work to do.
Congratulations! Failure is the first step to success! Don’t give up!
algun consejo para poder interpretar las oraciones demasiadas largas?? las cortas y medianas se me hacen facil pero las largas se me dificulta : (
Actuacion 10 de 10. jajajaja
Gracias
👏👏👏
The most annoying person on the line 😵💫 Just shut up and stay in the f basement and wait for the officer’s help and that’s it😅.
Thank you for the video btw 😬
LOL. You are so welcome!
Thanks for the video! Do interpreters have to translate word for word as they hear it or can they use their own words? The phrase "out of the woods" in Spanish would not make sense.
Interpreters translate ideas not word for word. For example, “It’s raining cats and dogs” will not make sense if translated literally so we have to understand the meaning and interpret an idiom in the target language that also means it’s raining a lot.
Hi, at the beginning the despatcher says: stay away from the windows and what? Please help. Thank you for your videos
Said ( stay away from the Windows and Doors, please don't make contact with the person , can you give me your address please )
Qué dice en 14:58? speedemer ??
Terrible, just plain terrible. The pauses make it a nightmare to use for practice. When translating people just give you a single long or short sentence at a time, usually fast when you pick up the pace. Should have made it so that takes a quick pause for interpretation after each sentence instead of taking a second long pause between sentences.
These scenarios are designed to help with real life situations. You are correct, every person I have ever interpreted for switches their thought and speech patterns to accommodate my needs for interpretation. They are so perfect and easy to interpret for that at the end of the day I get to ride off into the sunset in my faithful unicorn. The facts are people are going to speak how they want to, they will pause and continue to talk when you start to interpret. Some people will even cut you off. Some people talk fast some slow, that is life, so full of diversity. The faster you learn to adapt, the better off you will be in this industry. Stay real!
